Interesting cast iron steam pump valve shutoff wheel. Circa 1920. This wheel has a decorative industrial pattern that would stand out if used for decorating purposes. The word"open" and an arrow indicating direction is found in raised letters along the outter rim. There is some original paint remaining. The old architectural pieces like this add an awesome look to any decor. This is an older cast iron salvaged piece that is heavy for its size. Weighing about 11 pounds and from France. These French fragments are getting so hard to find, and I am having a hard time giving this one up. It is about 21 1/2" tall! There are two praying angels with their wings back to back. You can see at the bottom and top, where it was broken off of something. It has some wonderful ornate detailing above the angels. They are marked Service Casters& Truck Co, The plates are about 6" by 6 1/2" They are about 8 1/4" from wheel to plate at the wheels themselves are 6" and 2" wide. They are at least 12-14 pounds each. One of them has a slight nick on the topside of the plate(3/4" or so) where it was grazed when getting cut off the machine. It really doesn't affect anything but wanted to make sure it is noted. There are no cracks or big bends that we can see. 2 SINGER Sewing Machine marble top tables. Black antique cast iron Singer sewing machine bases with Carrara marble tops. The marble top slabs are 31" x 19.5" x 7/8" thick. The total height of the tables is 29.25" The Carrara marble is an off white color with gray/blue marbling. The slabs are in good condition but with some discoloration which could taken care of with some cleaning. The black cast iron bases are in very good condition. One table has the marble slab top bolted to the base. The second table the marble slap top has been detached but has the holes drilled in the bottom of the slab and could easily be reattached to the base if desired. Antique Cast Iron Architectural Ornament - Oak Leaf & Acorn Motif, 17" x 8-1/2"
This is the first of two custom cast iron ornaments I'm offering. My late fiancé bought them in previously owned condition and we have no idea of the pieces' age. Pics show the front and back of the ornament for sale and the broken oak leaf is in the middle of the overall piece. The ornament is coated in two layers of paint. The first being white and the second brown, and there is some rust where the paint has peeled and flaked off. I have two pieces listed but this piece is priced a bit less than the second since half of one oak leaf has broken off. The section of the repair needs to be sandblasted or paint stripped and cleaned up before the broken piece is welded back on. Overall dimensions 17 inches long x 8-1/2 inches wide.
