Authentic Antique Chinese wooden house shutter. Deeply carved and pierce carved with a tiger and horses. 37" by 12" The tiger panel has warped and does not fit tight in the grooves. It also has writing on the back that I can't decipher.see photos) These were marketed by Horchow's Catalog in the late 90's and they provided a Certificate of Antiquity issued by HONG KONG ART CRAFT MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION. Dated 1997. They sold them for around $1100. each back then. This is one of two that I have listed.

There are 2 fluted pilasters at the sides with carvings. 2 doors with beveled mirrors at the top and a flat panel with carvings below. There are 2 drawers at the bottom. It measures 60.5 inches wide. For sale an antique Victorian large wall pocket newspaper rack fold out with heraldic blazon style decoration. I believe this is walnut wood. The burl of the pocket fold I believe is walnut. Beautifully carved with cote of arms motif. The frame has a 10" flying dragon on each upper side and leaves all over the frame, and one plain leaf in the center in case you'd like to personalize. The burl front pocket has"L" engraved. The rack measures about 27" x 18" The wood sticks out from the wall about 3" before opening the rack. The pocket expands up to 6.5" Condition: The bottom right corner is about 8" chipped and glued as shown in last two pics. The front burl wall pocket under"L" has a white spot as shown in pic 7. To either side are the closets. They are faced with beveled mirror doors with a drawer below each. The 4 legs have fluted pilasters topped with columns. Corbels, and finials. The pediments are loaded with carvings. Ornate moldings, spindle work galleries and in the center a peaked crown with carved sun rays. This is one of the nicest closets I have seen and it is very unique. It is made of walnut and is currently painted. ~ COMPLETE 1/4 SAWN OAK STAIRCASE CARVED NEWEL POST PANELING RAILINGS MOLDINGS
Description This is an exceptional staircase that was salvaged from a Victorian Mansion in Clarion. PA. We have pretty much everything. Two newel posts. Railings, barley twist balusters, moldings, landings, and paneling. As you walked in the front door. The staircase was just ahead. You take three steps to the first landing. Turn right and up two steps to the second landing. Turn right and up 13 steps to the second floor. Turn right to hallway railing that is 153 inches long. Handrail going up 13 steps is 129 long. Landing 1 is 41.25 long by 40.25 wide. Landing 2 is 39.75 by 39.25. The steps are just over 7 inches high by 11.25 deep. My guy calls this a 7-10 rise. The first floor newel post is 85 inches tall with a paneled shaft. Carved cap and turned finial. The second floor newel is 51.25 inches from the top to the floor. It has carvings ... moreat the top and great ornate moldings and a big finial on the first floor ceiling. This newel post is nailed into the joist and goes through to the first floor ceiling. Everything except the treads and risers which are pine. Is made of 1/4 sawn oak and is unpainted. Exceptionally rare to find a staircase this nice that is 99% complete. Overall it is in very good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. Some of the balusters were broken but we have all the parts.
