Old Antique Vintage Farm Grain Silo Conveyer Belt with 3 Scoop Metal Buckets
This is from an 100+ year old farm near where I live in Oregon. The last picture shows the 2 large wooden pulleys that were used to move these conveyor belt mounted"scoops" from the floor of the barn to a feed silo. The scoops would fill at the bottom and when they reached the top pulley they would flip for the ride down. Emptying the grain into the silo. The farm has fallen into disrepair, the equipment has sat idle for decades. I aquired the pulleys and the belt. But not before someone cut the belt into pieces, 3 scoops each. I plan on recreating the belt system here in my home, as decor. I am not going to use all the pieces, so I am offering a few here on Ebay. I do see another seller offering them as well. I will ask a considerably lower opening bid on mine. Your welcome. This conveyor was fabricated by the farmer. The scoops ... moredo not all match. May differ in sizes slightly, and may not be perfectly spaced. It was meant for work, not decoration. So, that aside, the piece being offered here is about 29 inches long, just shy of 8 inches wide. Vintage 4 3/4 Pound Cast Painted Plaster Jesus Head Wearing Crown of Thorns
Please Note: There are additional images below the text description. This large vintage painted cast plaster-like head of Jesus weighs approximately 4 3/4 pounds and has an overall size of approximately 11 1/2" X 11" X 4 5/8" The bottom edge of the work has a 1" X 8 5/8" blood red raised molded surface with a small indented circle at either end giving this area the appearance of a blank name plate which has been attached to the bottom edge. Just above this red band are incised text reading"ECCE HOMO" which is Latin and refers to Pontius Pilate referring to Jesus in front of the crowd that had gathered for His trial. The Vulgate translation of the phrase into English is"Behold[the] man" The back of the work has a 5/32 diameter metal rod cast into the plaster for the purpose of hanging it from a ... morewall. With a 2 3/8" length of the rod visible. The piece is solid with no cracks or crazing. There are several scattered nicks in the plaster or surface coloring. There are five nicks on the nose and mustache. Including one on the tip of the nose and one 5/32" diameter chip on the side of the nose. There are 6-7 nicks in the more deeply recessed areas under the beard. There are a few nicks in the hair, on the foreword edge above the lower Latin phrase, and on the lower edge of the red band. This piece is from an estate auction. It was used as part of a funeral ceremony from a late 1890s to early 1900s whereas this statue and a similar sized heading cast of Mary were placed on either side of a wood shadow box containing a cast metal cross and a cast metal plate with"Mother" on it. The ceremony also used a oversized black and white photo of a flowered wreath that required a large folding tripod to hold it near the casket. This item will need to double boxed and have added packaging materials thus the preliminary shipping weight is 11 pounds; however. Any overage on the shipping will be refunded. Really unique antique wrought iron bars for mounting on the wall. There are holes in the appropriate places. Could be used as towel bars or pot racks if used with hooks in the kitchen. I was going to be using them outside in the garden as planter hangers but alas I am selling a lot of my treasures. The two larger ones are the same size and measure 25 inches long by 8 inches high by 3 1/4 in. Deep. Smaller one measures the same but shorter in length at 21 in. Antique Vintage Stick and Ball Fretwork 13 3/4" X 58 3/4" Architectural Salvage
Here is a salvaged piece of stick and ball fretwork. The piece measures about 58 3/4" long and is about 13 3/4" high. Piece is in very decent shape for its age. But does have a couple of condition issues. There are a couple of cracks in the wood on the center piece. I can see one ball where half of the ball is missing. It looks like two of the sticks are slightly warped, and there are some splits in the balls as it looks like each ball is joined together with tiny nails. I believe this is the original finish as it has the appearance of finish that has aged. A couple of small dings in the wood but no significant damage at all.
