This is an old Nae number 148 barn pulley. The wooded pulley is 6 inches across and the total length is 14 inches. It still has the old red primitive paint on it. I washed it and cleaned it up and if the buyer would like I could put a clear coat finish on it. But I think it might darken it and it would have a shiny finish. Rustic Primitive Antique Cast Iron Boiler Door Fancy Design 15 lbs I didn’t have a lot of time to shop this week because of visiting relatives. But I found some awesome pieces regardless, and I’ll be going to my favorite flea market this weekend, so I’ll have a boatload of items, fingers crossed, that will be new. I appreciate your business! I think it's a hoot to see such a utilitarian item with such a fancy design- this one has THE LOOK that we love- fancy. Yet primitive, rustic, yet strong. Made of 15 lbs of cast iron(the cost of the shipping will reflect both the size and weight of this one) this old boiler door was made to last and has! Waiting for it's next repurposed life, it is a beautiful piece with a killer rustic patina and will display very well- indoors or out. This is not a piece that would hang flush on a wall, so you ... moreknow. For one thing, it is not flat, it has a curved shape as part of its design, and for the second thing, it has a"tongue" for lack of a better word that sticks out the back on the bottom that used to be part of its closure. This is also not a piece that will stand independently- I had to lean it for my photos. loveLoveLOVE the fancy relief design on the front- it has a border with a scrolly design at each corner, and then almost a crest shape in the center with what I'll call scrolls, lattice and leaves surrounding it- see my photos. The piece measures 24 1/4" wide and 13 3/4" tall. It is in excellent solid and sturdy structural condition- you can see that it has its original two iron handles too, on the front of the door. The patina is very very very rustic. This is a very old piece of cast iron that has been living in a barn, so it's not anything you wouldn't expect. There's looooots of rust- old dark almost black in some spots, and lighter newer in others. I see no holes or sharp edges or anything beyond surface, though. Beautiful primitive antique French Beeskep Naturally aged to a wonderful biscuit hue. This handmade beeskep is in excellent condition. I bought this several years ago from a dealer of French antiques to display in my herb gardens but have never used it. It was in excellent condition when I bought it. Apparently hardly ever used, and it still is. There is still a little garden dirt that it had when I bought it. This I will brush off before shipping! It likely dates to the 1920's or earlier. It will make a beautiful display in any garden or indoors as a fabulous primitive display. This is a large skep and measures 18" tall not including loop handle and 16" across at the base. There is heavy twine around the handle and a few places where natural straw fibers are frayed. But nothing major. I am not sure if this is straw, hemp, or ... moresome other fiber. I bought these thirty years ago in Natchez. Mississippi and was told they were architectural pieces salvaged from a 19th century building in Natchez. The eagles are(one piece mold) cast iron weighing 5 lbs each and measuring 8" X 8" X 4" They were made into bookends within the last 70 years. I wiped them down with a damp cloth to remove dust but they have not been touched while in my possession.

Up for auction are two antique carved wood architectural remnants recently found in the Saratoga Springs NY area. They are offered in as found condition. They mirror each other but one has more losses than the other. It features the original dry finish of a blueish green over what appears to have mellowed into a salmon. There are cracks and breaks on both pieces. But would be great hung as architectural ornamentation. The smaller piece is approx. 10x8" and 3/4" thick. Antique Original Iron Fence Finial w/ 3 Crosses and Primitive Horseshoe Lot
I purchased these with plans to repurpose them or use them in decorating. But they have sat in a box far too long. The three cross finial was part of an old fence. It measures about 10.25' x 5' at tallest and widest. The very early primitive horseshoe measures about 5' x' 5' Genuine antiques; not reproductions. Aging is evident to both pieces, but they are still in sturdy condition for future use. Please ask questions; all sales are final unless grossly misrepresented. No international shipping.
