But one plate has grazing and another plate has a water spot ... moreappearing area in the red band(see pic) Otherwise, each piece is in excellent condition! Each plate measures a little over 6 3/4" and matches but uses varying flower sprays. The pieces are handpainted and no two plates are exactly alike. The bowl is 4" tall and 6" wide. The green Copeland mark of two"C's" interlocking with Copeland underneath dates from 1851 to 1895. Each piece has a letter above the number 78 impressed on the bottom. Dimensions: 4" wide x 2 ½ long x 2 1/4" high. Interior: White porcelain. Accents with two different colors of hand painted flowers. One is inside the lid. One is inside the bottom of the box. This is a very lovely antique Sevres French Porcelain Box. The details on the Sevres piece is very amazing and very fine. On the top of the box there is a very lovely scene of a man and a woman who are in love. The woman is holding the man with her arms around his shoulders. While the man is looking at her. Beside them is a baby sheep. And there are gorgeous flowers and trees surrounding them. Then on the right of them you can see a pond and there home, it is a very lovely scene. Antique 19 th Century Porcelain Lidded Box Beautiful lidded box with pink and purple flowers a green trim and gilded accents. This was purchased in the 60s at an antique store in Massachusetts. I would say it is in good condition however there has been a repair(please see hairline crack in photos) which I didn’t notice until I ran my fingers over it. There is also a small crack in the foot(1/4” long) see 3 rd photo. Neither of these things are noticeable or take away from the beauty of the piece. I always closely inspect everything and list all flaws that I can see. Could also use a little cleaning. All in all a very pretty dresser box. The flowers on the lid are pink and white with grey leaves. The handle and edge have gold leaf remnants. The lid has a chip as depicted in the photos. The few"Brush Boxes" I have found are described as for tooth brushes and also for hair brushes. One seller indicates"Victorian Women used this type of box on their dressers or vanities to hide common hair styling items from sight; the shelving on the interior allowed loose hair to fall to the bottom. More often I see them described for holding tooth brushes. The hand crafted racks/shelves inside this box are actually shaped like a moustache or lips! The lid is 8 1/2" by 4" ... moreat its widest points. There are no air holes in the lid like I see in other boxes. There are no evident marks on the bottom. I also have a Brush Box in blue listed. For auction: 19th C Antique Samson Paris Porcelain Kakiemon Quails Lobe Shape Trinket Box Fantastic antique box has wonderful Kakiemon decoration and no chips. Cracks or crazing. Decoration is in fabulous condition as shown. Box measures about 2 1/8" by 1 5/8" and the base is 1 3/8" tall(excludes lid) and when the lid is placed on top the combined pieces are 1 7/8" tall. Condition notes- the frame of the box is detached from the bottom although is well secured to the top and does"snap" closed. Also there is a unglazed scrape inside of the top as shown in photos. This auction is for a 19th century european porcelain/sterling silver fish serving dish. The cover is made of sterling silver with a fish as the lids cover. The lid part on one part of the corner is not straight but you can not notice it unless you really look at it. The bowl itself is porcelain and has a few symbols. Marks on the bottom are a bee hive. 7608, and KTWG or KTWC. The believe the dish is European. It has been in storage for a good 20 years so it does need a good cleaning. A stunning antique late 18th Century to early 19th Century Italian Capodimonte enamel and gilt porcelain decorated Covered Dresser Box. The box has gorgeous all around raised hand painted figures of what I think to be a Greek Mythology scene of the 12 Gods of Mount Olympus. The box is in beautiful condition no chips. Cracks or repairs with the art work fully intact and very vibrant with the exception of the gold gilt around the cover edges. The box measures 4 1/2"x 3 1/2"x 3" tall including lid and has the blue bottom stamp that was in use between 1771 to 1834 which will date this piece between 180 years to 209 years old. STUNNING ANTIQUE FAUX PIETRA DURA LARGE BOX IN GILT METAL MOUNT FRANCE LATE 19TH CENTURY Out for bidding is this absolutely stunning piece of fabulous quality and great appealing. A rare find from the late 19th Century. A quite large Belle Epoque rectangular box or casket containing five superb pietra-dura-like porcelain plaques. An Art-Nouveau period piece of outstanding craftsmanship. An splendid box cast in a heavy white metal and gilt with ormolu-like finish. Aquatic plants, foliage and trellis naturalistically cast are applied to the corners of the box and the lid. The five faux pietra-dura porcelain plaques featuring bouquets of roses, lily, jasmine and forget-me-not in vivid and firm colours against a black slate-like ground. The lining inside the box is a magnificent deep forest green taffetas or silky material with a moare effect ... moreto it, simply a beautiful piece for an avid collector of Art-Nouveau or Victoriana. This spectacular box measures approx. 6.25 in. 16 cm. in height, 10.25 in. 26 cm. in length and 6 in. 15 cm. in depth. New lining and gilding and two or three visible rivets as a result of a restoration. This old piece is basically IN GREAT CONDITION and bears its original glory.
