WONDERFUL Staffordshire Fairing Boy W/Kite Box 1860-70's Trinket Snuff Another Great Estate Fabulous Find! Wonderful Fairing. With great paint left on the piece. It is a box, the bottom has a line of lovely flowers and 2 handles. The top is aboy with red white and blue pantaloons sitting on a grassy hill holding a kite. There is some damage to piece, on the back of the kite there is a chip at the top and there is also a chip on the edge of the box. Please refer to all pictures, they truly tell the story. Beautiful large porcelain trinket box. Victorian baby in a bassinet with a toy doll. I believe this is made by Conta& Boehme. But it may be Staffordshire. 496" is stamped on the bottom(which is in line with the Conta& Boehme mold number) There is a break to the foot of the child's doll(shown in pictures) I do not see any other chips or cracks. Winning bidder will receive ALL 8 ITEMS(4 TRINKET BOXES AND 4 LIDS) CONDITION: The lid with child& pet ha s several repaired cracks. The lid with open book has a missing figure chipped off. They no longer have metallic mirrors. Much missing paint. THESE ARE VERY OLD. AND SHOW IT! SEE PHOTOS. Item#1: Conta& Boehme#3655 marked lid(no box) Though it looks like it was dropped and repaired.several cracks.the good news is the sweet child& pet SURVIVED! kitten or puppy? Item#2: Staffordshire box(no lid) Yellowing/chipping on one side, some of the paint has worn off, winged gryffin figures on front corners. My uncle used the C&B lid with this, but it doesn't really fit or match. Item# 3& ... more4: Maker? white porcelain piano box. Most of the gold paint rubbed off. The lid fits, don't know if it's a set, depicts an open book on a dresser. Lid has missing item broken off, and a large chip behind it. 3 1/4" x 2 1/2" x 2" Item# 5& 6: Staffordshire? white porclain Queen's Crown. Sword& Sceptor lid, no chips, a little orange& gold paint remains. Box has a tiny hole in the porcelain that has brown discoloration around it. Pretty blue paint on the corners, most of the gold has rubbed off. No chips. Has numers/prices written on both pieces that don't wipe off with damp cloth. The lid& box seem to fit together, not sure if they're an original set. 4" x 3 1/4" x 2 1/2" Item#7& 8: Staffordshire? The smallest of the collection. This one also depicts the Queen's Crown. Sword& Sceptor on the lid, stamped"28" underneath. Box has no chips, retains quite a bit of gold paint.
