Wonderful antique porcelain jewelry casket made in France and marked with the Capo-Di-Monte Crowned N. It is a lovely piece that is hand painted with five(5) scenes. The top pictures a scene of horseback riders. The sides have various scenes of villagers dancing and horseback riding. The inside has a very nice floral decoration. The entire box has bronze gilding and decorations. This is a lovely example. And a very collectible piece. It is an attractive oval shape that measures approximately 5x4 inches and is 3 inches tall when the lid is closed. It is in very good condition. With only some very minor wear to the bronze gilding. Antique Capodimonte hinged trinket box, Capo Di Monte
This type of Capo di Monte trinket box is rather rare. It was found in the South of France with some other Limoges boxes and is quite old. The mark is a smaller blue crown over N. The box is in good condition. Showing two naked putti on the top and two angels on both the front and the back in relief. The box has some signs of age: there is a small faint hairline under the lid and some of the color has worn off a bit. Otherwise no chips or cracks. The closure works fine and it is a delight for the eyes. Measurements are: 2 ¾" by 2" and 1 ½" tall. Free expedited domestic shipping.

Antique Capo di Monte Porcelain Jewelry or Dresser Box- Eirly Mark
You are looking at a delightful very early antique Capo-di-Monte jewelry or dresser box bought by my Great Grandmother at a Paris flea market in before WW11. This is a lovely piece measuring approx. 2 ½ inches across and 1 ½ inches high. It depicts a group of three cherubs frolicking on the banks of a stream one is carrying a stave. They are surrounded by gold gilt. A lone cherub is shown with a stave or staff on the side detail along with garlands of roses and'crossed-staves' There is also a curious set of musical bagpipes below the clasp. There is a single rose painted on the inside lid. According to my research. This is a very early maker’s mark dating it sometime around or before the 1850’s. This a real collectors piece and it is in'Excellent' condition! The paint and gold gilt is crisp and clean. There are no ... morecracks, nicks or scrapes or scratches that I can see. And the lid snaps tightly open and closed. Similar boxes such as these early ones are commanding top dollar on other antique sights! My grandmother was an avid collector with a great eye. She traveled the world collecting treasures. I guess you could call her one of the original‘pickers’ She often marked the pieces she collected. This beautiful Capo di Monte casket box is of very fine quality. Its creation executed with great precision and intricacy by the artist. It has no chips or cracks anywhere and does not have any fading paint, other than the very minimal wear on only a couple of the gilt painted corners. As shown in the photos, the top comes slightly loose on the back left corner when fully opened, and when fully closed, the clasp barely misses the"clip" The box is quite large, measuring 10 6/16" long, 4 3/4" tall, 6" deep.
