For sale. A very pretty antique porcelain hair receiver. This is marked Austria on the bottom and has the numbers 5, 0 on the inside cover. This is approx. 4" across and 2 1/2" tall. There is a general overall crazing commensurate with age but no chips or cracks. I did not wash or clean this in any way. So it could use a good cleaning. I always leave things in as found condition. Beautiful Antique Porcelain Sardine Box Covered Jar Victoria Austria Hand Paint
This auction is for a Lovely Antique Porcelain Sardine Box or Covered Jar made by Victoria Austria. It has a hand painted Black and White Sardine as its handle with red eyes and gills. The cover and body has neatly ribbed pattern lines. On the lid. The ribs radi ate out in a sunburst pattern from the fish. The box and the lid are in very good condition. Especially for its age, which I believe dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. There are no chips or cracks or repairs. There is age appropriate loss of gold accents along the rim of the lid and very tin y indented Black Dot in the face(see last photo) that was done in the firing p rocess. As is the case with much old porcelain. The lid fits loosely and wobbles slightly but it is a matching pair and it doesn't detract from this Great Display Piece. For bid is a beautiful estate-find porcelain sardine box. This beauty is in very good condition-no chips. Cracks or repairs. There's some minor paint loss on the fish face and gold trim, as would be expected in an older piece. The large roses on the lid are lovely, and with the fish, creates a wonderful whimsical feel! Lidded, the box measures about 5"w x 4.5" depth x 2" tall(about 2.5" tall to top of fish) The stamp says, Victoria Austria" with a green crown; both pieces are numbered. You are bidding on this small antique painted trinket box. Circa 80-120 years old. It has floral design and brass banding around the edge. It is very similar to French faience in look and decoration. This is marked Made in Austria. This box has a circle indent. Made have been a make up case for lip stick, or for balm. It is different than the little limoges type boxes, thick pottery and glaze. Beautiful vintage round footed pale blue trinket box from M. Z. Austria. The lid is pale blue with a yellowish center and the delicate flowers are hand painted forget-me-knots and some small pink buds with thin green vines running between the flowers and leaves. The small blue flowers are a little raised as you can feel when you run your hand across the top of them. The bottom of the porcelain box is stamped M Z Austria with the crown and mark of the Moritz Zdekauer Altrohlau Co. which was in business from 1884 to 1945. The box is in excellent condition with minimal paint fading and the inside is white porcelain. There are three curved feet. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. Beautiful antique hand painted porcelain trinket box. It's in light green with gold trim and has the beautiful scene of a baby in the grass. This is signed in gold on the bottom MAME. It's in great shape other than a little 1/4" chip on the lid as pictured. There are no other chips or cracks on the piece and even this one is minor and could be touched up or repaired. Description: This is a gorgeous round trinket box. Candy or jewelry dish. The porcelain box is white, with gold trim around the lid and around the top of the base of the bottom dish. The hand painted design is a blueish/greed floral rose design with leaves. It measures about 3 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/2" tall and the bottom dish is about 1/2" deep. Unfortunately I do not have any paperwork, but the markings descriptions match the other authentic ones I found online and there aren't very many. This is a great, rare find.
