With scattered similar flower bouquet sprays around the sides. The lid has an apple on top of it. Size: From tip of handle to handle 8 inches across and stands 4 inches high to the tip of the lid(the apple) Condition: Excellent for a piece of 18 th century faience. Museum quality. No chips, cracks or restoration. Some minor frits to glaze on the lip of the base and a tiny one on the rim of the lid(it can barely be seen, you really have to look for it) and no crazing. It still carries a brilliant shine to the finish. The V and P marking on the bottom of this tureen is of the 18 th century faience manufacturer Veuve Perrin in Marseilles. France. ... moreThe Perrin manufacturing company was founded by Claude Perrin. When he died in 1748. His wife Pierrette Candelot became head of the company. Under her leadership, the manufacturer became well known for superbly decorated faience items. The company’s painters were sent to French art academies to acquire elegance and perfection in their work. The mark on the bottoms of these items was the combined“VP” for“Veuve Perrin” which means“Perrin’s widow” The Veuve Perrin manufacturing company was closed in 1803. Eight years after Pierrette Candelot had died in 1793. The combined VP mark of Veuve Perrin was not standardized and exists in numerous variants. I have read the mark VP mark with a dot below the loop of the P is a sign of A DISTINGUISHED PRIVATE COLLECTION made to order and probably one of a kind. I have also been told this could be a reproduction. But nevertheless it still would be as valuable because it would have been reproduced during the same time period. This is an antique porcelain hinged box from France. Dates between 1740-1795. Made by Veuve Perrin in Marseille. Hand-painted Ocean Sailing motif on top with small Floral sprigs around. Mounted in Silver. Heavily tarnished, I polished just a bit to show. Measures just over 2" side to side x 1.75" wide x 1.5" deep. Oval. Diamond shape. 18th CENTURY VEUVE PERRIN FRENCH ENAMEL PATCH/PILL BOX CHINESE DESIGN c1780 A very nice Veuve Perrin(Marseille) enamel patch/pill box measuring 3 1/4" x 2" x 1 1/2" The box is decorated in polychrome colors and on the lid is depicted a Chinaman building a fence surrounded by flowers and foliage and with birds flying overhead. The front and rear sides are decorated with exotic birds and the ends with flowers. The box is in very good condition both internally and externally; there is some slight age wear to the base and a small crack in the enamel at the right hand end below the mounting(please see photo) Monogram'VP' mark to base. Date would be c 1780. Claude Perrin born in Nevers on 20th April1696 settled in Marseille in 1733 where he died on 25th March 1748. Pierette Candelot. Up for sale is a delightful. Authentic, 18th century Veuve Perrin French faience trinket box with green flowers outlined in black on a white ceramic base. The closure is braided brass with a clam shell shaped closure. The box is signed with the classic VP. Which is the Veuve Perrin mark, on the bottom. For more information on this ceramics factory, please see below. This little bonboniere has major French charm. But shows some wear for its three centuries of life. There is a ding on one of the bottom corners; there is a slight misalignment between top and bottom, which causes a small gap when the box is closed; some glue residue where the top and bottom don't sync perfectly; and two areas where there is a tiny loss of porcelain at the left front and rear corners. Veuve Perrin Snuff Box circa 1748-1803 France Beautiful!
This is a beautiful antique snuff box made by Veuve Perrin circa 1748-1803. It is hand painted glazed porcelain with brass edging. It measures 5" across by 3" wide by 2 1/4" tall. It is in amazing condition for its age- there is a very old repair to the lid where someone re-glued it to the brass frame. There are a few small paint losses to the bottom edge as well(see photos) but otherwise it is in fantastic condition with no crazing or cracks present. A wonderful little antique treasure! FRENCH FAIENCE VEUVE PERRIN CHINOISERIE PORCELAIN TEA CADDY
Delightful French Faience Veuve Perrin 18 th century tea caddy in excellent condition. Two Chinese scenes set in exotic landscapes with birds and flowers on sides. Measures 5 1/2" high by 3" wide. The VP maker's mark on the bottom hints that this piece was made in the fayence manufactury sometime during the period of 1748-1803 by Veuve Perrin in Marseilles. France. The Perrin manufactory was founded by Claude Perrin. When he died in 1748. His wife Pierrette Candelot managed the company. Under her leadership, the manufactury became well-known for superbly decorated items, including snuff boxes. The black"VP" mark means"Veuve Perrin" or"Perrin's widow" The Veuve Perrin manufactory was closed in 1803.

Antique Porcelain Hand Painted Veuve Perrin Snuffbox / Pillbox ca. 1740-1795
Up for sale is a very nice antique snuffbox/ pillbox made by Veuve Perrin of Marseilles. France. I checked out the VP on the bottom and found out who made this and when it was made which is between 1740-1795. If you would like more information on this manufacturer please check out Wikipedia it is very interesting. This box has hand painted flowers on the lid, front, back and sides. The overall condition of this antique box is good condition with a couple of exceptions, please check out the condition description and photos attached. The measurements are 3"wide X 2"depth X 1 1/8"tall. When I ship fragile items I build a wooden box then put that inside a shipping box with packing for a safe shipment. Magnificent Veuve Perrin French Porcelain Pill box Veuve Perrin was a porcelain manufacturer in France in the late 1700's. Outside Cover has hand Painted cene of people fishing off a log with walled arches in background Sides have decoration tjat is painted as well Underside has the maker's Mark VP-Note Photos the box is Hinged and it works well Condition: For an item over 200 years old this is in Great condition. However. There are some things commensurate with age. The cover is slightly up in one corner. Around the inside there are some rough spots. Please check all photos as the 10 photos show everything. This box is a magnificent example of Porcelain made in France in that period. This will get more valuable as the years pass on.
