A 1890's/1900 leather collar box with top compartment to hold studs, collar, buttons, etc. The compartment appears to be made of pewter and features a classic Art Nouveau era design of a woman with flowing hair. The piece measures 9" across and is 4" tall. The piece is in good vintage condition with minor edge wear to the leather, and some pitting to the pewter. No Reserve!

Up for bid is this beautiful Art Nouveau Button Box. It has a tiny bit of tarnish. The tarnish looks worse in the pictures than it actually is. This is made of a very lightweight metal. It is gold tone in color. The lid doesn't close right some of the times. If you tap on the top. It does go down all the way. Might have been made like that. It is in pretty good condition. It has green felt like material inside. It measures approx. 2" in height at highest point, 1 5/8" across the opening and about 3" across the bottom. This is a unique Victorian collar button with a patent date of Nov. 16. 1875 stamped in the metal. This is from the time when U.S. Grant was president in his second term and seeking a third term. Tom Nast, the staunch republican satirical newspaper cartoonist, had just created the association of the elephant with the Republican party in his Harper's Weekly Newspaper cartoons year before. I'm sure that this button was worn prominently by a proud GOP supporter. It features a domed glass reverse intaglio cut elephant head in great detail on a gold background. The button bottom and setting are rose gold plated. This piece is in very good condition and in fine working order. The patent date information appears on the back of the top piece.There are a few tiny nibbles in the glass from 138 years time spent in button jars and jewelry boxes, ... morebut there are no cracks, damage, or any true detractions to this super piece. The oval pin has a nice dark patina tarnish from age and a little nick in the enamel on the Omega letter on one side of the O. It dates to about 1900 and the woman who owned this made it into a sewing basket. Margie Wilson was the owner according to the note inside by her son. There are a few sewing items that are remaining in the box. The hinged collar button holder clasp mechanism works great but the lid is dented. The hinged lid on the box is intact but a part of the clasp is missing for the closure. You should be able to find a new one without problems. Three of which are hand painted with flowers; one is plain white and very handsome; the fifth box is silver and quite unique. Please note: I am not an antique dealer and do my best to accurately describe what I am selling. This handsome box is approximately 2 ½" in diameter x 1 ½" tall. It is in good condition. Due to age. Use, and manufacturing during the period it was made, there are to be some slight imperfections expected. I used a magnifying glass to access the condition of this box. What I found. Sadly, was a chip measuring about 1/4" on the outside rim of the lid. There are also some nicks on the underside of the lid on the ridge that secures the lid in place- hope I'm saying that correctly. This auction is for 1- Antique(Early 1900's) Krementz"Collar Button" Store Display Box. Has a removable glass overlay which is in great condition- no cracks or chips. There is some wear. Some scuffs, a few tears in the satin lining and some fraying. The printing is very clearly legible and the box itself appears to be in very good condition. It's a nice piece of history from a company that has been around since the late 1800's. Please see pictures for condition. You will be sent the item in the pictures. These were very popular in Victorian days when ladies would hand paint these treasures at home. The button box has a a gold"collar" a round gold button below it to resemble a tuxedo shirt collar. The top has a gold knob but the color has faded throughout the years. It is stamped" RS G ERMANY" on the bottom. Last photo. The matching button has a hand painted pretty pink rose& green foliage. The collar button box measures approximately 7/8 inches high& approximately 2 5/8 inches wide. The button measures approximately a tad under 7/8 inches across. Photo 6. This is a faux leather covering on an old antique box from either 1930 or 1830. It is marked inside of the small metal box in the lid as"pat. May 27. 30" The small box set in the lid is lined with suede and it is a metal. Possibly silver plate. The rest of the box hard paper or cardboard with the faux leather fabric covering. It can be turned so that it looks perfect, but one side has pulled out of the finishing binding. The little top box is for the collar buttons and the rest would be for men's collars. What a find! A nice antique men's collar and button bag. It is made of leather with thick string drawstrings and gold tone bead pulls. The inside is lined with an off white linen type lining. There is a gold tone attached box at the bottom on the inside for buttons. Cuff links etc. Approximate measurements are 7 inches across the bottom and 5 1/2 inches deep. Button holder is marked'Patented December 15. 1908' There is a leather type circle marked'Collar& Buttons' with an anchor. It has come unglued from the button holder but is still with the bag. There are no rips or tears that I have found and the button box opens as it should. Great antique condition. All items are described to the best of my ability. Antique Teddy Bear - Shoe Button Eyes - from about 1905-1912 with antique collar
Antique Teddy Bear from about 1909-1920's- sitting the bear is about 13-1/2" tall. And overall height is about 21" and he is fully jointed and stuffed with excelsior and embroidered claws.He sports an antique collar and button which makes him look dapper. He did not come with the collar originally, but the collar was added at a later date in his life. The mohair is in very good condition. He does have a hole in his upper inside left leg, which is about 1-1/2" long. I have included a picture of the hole. There are also a few holes in his feet pads, which are normal for his age. On the back side of his right paw there is some mohair loss. He is a great bear and wonderful look about him. I have added some additional photos of him which were taken outside. Antique brown leather collar box with four collars and 1 collar button. The collars are marked: Collars Ltd Style 10 16 3/4" The Round Alatus Redon British Trademark 17X2 1/4. Radiac Ritz City No. 78 2X14 1/2. Simpson Piccadily No. 3 15 1/2. The Radiac has the remnants of an old price tag which I did not try to remove. All four but particularly the larger collars have some staining around the collar. This does not detract from the collars as display items but would be more of an issue if you wanted to wear them. I did not try to clean them. Leather box has stamped on the back W.H.S. S London.

ANTIQUE Benjamin HARRISON (?) Presidential Campaign Lapel / Collar Stud / Button
Up for auction is what is probably a 1988 Benjamin Harrison Presidential Campaign Collar Button/ Lapel Stud(I have seen them called different things) This was in a lot I purchased at auction. Along with a William Jennings Bryan collar button(separate auction) This is not a certainty. As I can find no information on this particular stud, but the eras are close, and I have seen a star on several antique Harrison pins. And there is a chance that it is not political, but it was with a bunch of old political items. It appears to be brass and blue enameling around the name"HARRISON" With a gold star in the middle. Benjamin Harrison was a Brigadier(one star) General during the civil war, but that may be completely irrelevant. Button has some loss of enameling to the left of the top star point(see photo) But otherwise in good condition. ... moreMeasures approximately ¾" x ¾" This item is all one piece(does not come apart) I did not attempt to clean this in any way, for fear of removing more of the enameling. The back has some oxidation. And there may be a company name underneath, but I don't think so because the oxidation is not that great. If you collect political memorabilia. I bought a collection of tie clips. Cuff links, collar studs and pins. The collection has several of these studs. I match them up as close as I can but please keep in mind. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A MATCHING SET IF THEY ARE HAND MADE. When these studs were made, they all were hand made. Once they are on the shirt, you will never know there is any difference in them. Color differences can usually be corrected by cleaning them. Many of these old studs are gold plated and simply not marked or in some cases, marked under the pearl. Offered is a beautiful High Neck. 2 finished Buttons, authentic original Collar with lovely lace work and its original dart design. Notice the two delicate laced buttons and on the reverse the original wire support for'up-right' position and durability. Off white color. No holes or tears are evident and the finished edges are lovely. Original two darts are in good condition and the lovely tight stitched top lace work appears complete. Also with no holes nor tears. Issues: One side of a lower hook needs re-stitching. The hook parts are located below the two buttons and two genuine button holes! There is a small stain on the lower edge of the collar and thread remnants from prior use. Please review my photos for issues and positive details. This collar has been cleaned& ironed and is ready to display or use. Collar is 12 3/4 inches ... morelong. Height is 3 1/4 inches tall including lace adornment. Buttons are 5/8 inch each.
