This auction is for an antique early 20th century Art Deco ... moreJapanese porcelain humidor with a hand painted floral design and raise moriage accents. It is marked on the underside. Made in Japan' with marks that match a mark for Bibi. I found this online about this mark: Might be the mark of a shop or trading company that commissioned pieces for sale. And got pieces from various kilns marked like this. The mark occurs on several pieces of which some are almost identical to Kutani. Recent information has it that Bibi is the name of a family import firm that imported porcelain from Japan to Lebanon during the 1950s and 60s. This porcelain had a Bibi mark on it and was sold in Beirut. The family might also have had a porcelain import business in Palestine in the 1930s and 40s before they were forced to flee in 1947. This covered box is done in lovely sage green and cream colors with lavender and amber flower designs. As well as some other colors that are not so prominent. See photos, please. The dish, with the lid in place, measures approx. 5.5" tall, and 5" square. Antique French Art Deco ALADIN LUXE Porcelain Box with Gilt Metal Frame
This antique box measures 4 3/4" high x 3 7/8" wide and it's missing the bottom cover. The porcelain has no chips or cracks but the surface is dirty. The metal frame needs to be re-attached to the box because the cement dried out and the bottom section has some small dents to a corner.

This hand painted porcelain dresser box depicts a Victorian lady in the art nouveau style. The box was made by Zeh Scherzer of Bavaria in circa 1900. The box is 2 ½ inches high and 4 ½ inches in diameter. It has the Z&S green mark on the bottom that was used between 1880 and 1918. The box is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. An apparently very old French porcelain container from Alsace. Nicely decorated with flowers and country village scenes. Features: Conventional Nouveau flower design on gold burnished covers box with a black matte base. Underneath box initials RB(not very readable) Item Description: I call this the gold box. It's completely covered burnished gold with a semi shine to it. The base is matte black which offset the floral borders quite nicely along the base of the box. This American SATSUMA measure 6-5/8" inches round in diameter. About 3-1/2 tall box with lid and bottom foot. It's all hand painted, decorated in an Art Nouveau Conventional Floral and leaf motif with a great variety of flowers displayed. Black outline drawn and filled with raised enameled painted with wonderful palette of deep colors in black, gold, blues, greens, ... moreoranges, yellow. An Art-Nouveau period piece of outstanding craftsmanship. An splendid box cast in a heavy white metal and gilt with ormolu-like finish. Aquatic plants, foliage and trellis naturalistically cast are applied to the corners of the box and the lid.
