This is a EXTREMELY RARE Antique 18th Century French Porcelain Enamel Boot Box. The hinge is not functioning so the cover stays on but is non-functioning. I tried to take as many pictures as possible to show all the intricate detail. It measures approx. 4 inches long by approx. 2 inches tall. This piece is absolutely exquisite and one of a kind. Box is 3 1/4" x 2" and 1 3/8" high, and it is in excellent condition with no damage or repair to the hand painted enamel surface. There is an old auction label on the inside from a Christie's sale. This is a large example of an enamel box, and it is unusual to find them without some kind of damage or repaint. The box is oval. And hinged with a clasp. It opens on the long end(rare to find) and reveals a mirror inside. There is some crazing/cracks on the top of the lid, and a small area of touch-up next to her left arm. All hard to see unless examined very closely. This is a rare Battersea Bilston patch box inscribed“ A Present from the Iron Bridge” The Iron Bridge in Shropshire England was the first arch bridge made from cast iron. The bridge was opened in 1781 so the box must be sometime after that date. This box must be very rare as a Google search does not find another like it. It measures 1 5/8” x 1 3/8” x 7/8” tall. Battersea enameled pill or snuff box with a hot air ballooning scene on the top The box is in good shape overall with some cracking to the enamel on the bottom edges. The cover does not close down completely. The hot air balloon scene is hand painted in black on white porcelain ground with no damage which is surrounded by a metal frame& hinge with a pale yellow bottom. The inside is enameled in white which has some discoloration and some rough edges where the enamel meets the metal frame. There may have been some restoration to it. But reads"Esteem the Giver" The mirror on the inside is in great condition, one piece, no cracks, but has developed some darkness at the very edges of the mirror. The snuffbox measures right at 2 inches in diameter by 1 inch in height. It has a hand-painted tavern scene to the top featuring two gentlemen in 18th-century dress drinking and smoking. Antique Battersea Bilston enamel pill/ patch box. Either very romantic or a death memorial. The Absent Not Forgotten" pictures an urn and weeping willows. The box is lidded with a pink base which is in very nice condition with light crazing. The top is sturdy, but does have craquelure. This Battersea box"Esteem the Giver" has black lettering on a white lid(the first photo shows the true white color best but the flash whited out some of the print) and a pale lavender body. There is some crazing on the lid and inside. And only the tiniest of one chip on the bottom of the box at its edge, about"4:00" in the fifth photo. The bottom is scuffed, as well. Pre-1800 Antique Battersea box: Small, round, Bird on Nest design
An adorable little Battersea. This box is a rich cobalt blue with a raised white enameled design. The lid of this box measures 7/8" diameter. Around the top it says in gilt letters" A Token of Love. although the lettering is rather faint now, worn over the years from handling. Otherwise, the box is in almost perfect condition. The inside has no cracks or chips to the white enamel. The dot you can see inside the lid, on left of"inside photo, is in the original enameling. On the top there is a barely perceptible teensy chip that the bird's beak points to, so you can look for it in the photo. I'm not actually sure if it's a minute chip or an imperfection during original manufacture. There is also a 1/8" hairline down the side, but this is almost impossible to find. I am offering a most wonderful little box. Bought many years ago from the antiques section of Halcyon Days in London. It's small, only an inch and a half long, an inch and a quarter wide, and three quarters of an inch tall. The top features a woman in an arbor; the colors are delicately, but brightly painted. The sides of the box are a ravishing, clear blue. The box is, I'm guessing, late eighteenth century, and is in astonishingly good shape for its age. As far as I can tell, there are no cracks or chips in the enamel. Even the mirror under the lid is in fantastic shape. A true gem for a collector!

Pink enamel over copper base, white top/interior, mirrored lid, original patina metal trim with fully functioning hinge and front tiny finger knob to open/close. This auction is for a vintage English enamel Battersea box. It's about 1 1/2 inches long. 1 1/4 inches wide, and 1 inch high. Antique Battersea Bilston Tiny Enamel Box Keep This For My Sake
I found this sweet box in a tiny antique shop in a very tiny Texas town. I have owned it over 20 years so it's time for a new owner. This little box is cobalt blue and white enamel and reads Keep this for my sake on the lid. It is in good condition considering it is from the early 1800's. It measures about 1 3/8" wide and 3/4" tall.it's small but oh so precious. It has numerous glaze/finish pops and wear on the base. Hinge works just fine and there is a bit of give to the lid.
