The cage and stand are in very good condition with no breaks or cracks that we have found. Just normal Antique wear which has left this cage and stand with a great looking patina. The stand and cage stands 65" tall by 14 1/2" in dia. for the cage. The stand is weighed and holds the cage with ease. The back is labeled: TOLEDO- HONEST WEIGHT" in gold letters. This scale is 14-3/4 inches tall. 15 inches wide, and 7 inches deep. Enchanting SPIDERWEB STARS Antique Vintage Quilt ~ Feed Sacks& Novelty Fabrics This one certainly is enchanting! Gorgeous antique Spiderweb Star design is full of vibrant color. Shades of bright pinks. Cherry reds, indigo and royal blues, burgundies, jade greens, golden yellows, slate grays, earthy browns and tans, forest greens and more. A large assortment of beautiful feed sacks and cotton novelty prints make an outstanding combination together! Lots of small pieces of fabric went into the making of this one. The back side is composed of large sections of pretty fabrics pieced together, and would be wonderful to display this side as well! Simply stunning! Measures 78" x 70" Hand- quilted. VINTAGE ANTIQUE 30s T SQUARE FEED SACK QUILT to start a new paragraph use- Circa 1930 T Square or Four T's quilt. Made with feedsack and other pieces from the quilters bag. T's are set against a yellow ground, backing and binding are green. This is all cotton with a thin cotton batting. It's hand quilted at 8 stitches per inch with hand stitched binding. The border is made up of pieced 2" x 2 1/4" blocks in a variety of prints. Then a 2" strip of yellow. Everything inside of the blocks is in very good condition. Some of the blocks need to be replaced and the corners and binding are very worn. You could replace the yellow strip and binding or you could cut off most of the strip and apply new binding. This is an old Hand Stitched Quilt Top in a Flower Basket pattern. Made of some feed and flour sack fabric. There are a couple of novelty fabrics that are really neat. One has little ducks marching across it and the other one has football players. The blocks are 12 3/8" The whole top measures 71 x 88. Hand pieced and hand stitched. It needs to be cleaned and soaked. As purchased from the estate. Payment by PayPal is due immediately when the listing ends. This is a darling antique 9-patch baby or child's quilt. It appears to have been machine-quilted. Although the quilt is clearly old and made from vintage fabrics. I tried to take some up-close photos of the quilting so the stitching is more visible. The binding appears to be hand-sewed. The front and back are both made from old feed sacks. This would make a great cutter quilt with its great baby colors and vintage fabrics. I had someone knowledgeable look at it and she believed that it does look hand-pieced. If you are curious about this. I would be glad to take additional photos. There are some minor condition issues. The most significant is an area shown in the second photo. Which has a combination of rust stains and tiny holes. Then I found a small tear, shown in the third photo, and then a section that looks scraped where some of ... morethe stitching has been severed and there are some tiny holes, shown in the fourth photo. The fifth and sixth photos show the backing. The backing does not appear to have any holes, but it does have some yellow discolorations, as the photo shows. I have not tried washing this quilt and those discolorations might be removable. There is a tiny strip of fading down the middle of the quilt and a few small areas where the stitching is coming loose. The remainder of the photos show some up-close detail of the fabrics and stitching. One of the photos shows some of the fading down the middle. The size of the quilt is 40 1/4" wide and 47 1/2" long. c.1890's Directions for Using the Davis Under-Feed Sewing Machine The Davis U.F. Davis Sewing Machine Co. Dayton. Ohio Most Quiet Lightning Running Machine on Earth_ This listing is for an original directions manual not a reproduction. It is not dated but mentions Davis' 25 years of experience. Davis Sewing Machine Co. was founded in 1868 and went bankrupt in 1924. This mention of 25 years experience means the directions manual is about 1893 which is why I say circa 1890's. Around 1890 is when Davis Sewing moved to Dayton. Ohio. This is very rare paper. I usually do not sell items in this condition unless it is rare or unique. I believe sewing machine collectors would be interested in having an original paper for their collection or to copy contents. The paper manual has stapled binding and measures 6" by 9" Contains ... more39 numbered pages. Condition of this paper is Fair(see guide below) It is not possible for me to say everything about an item this old. So please understand that I will do my best. Please view photos as they are considered part of the description. I counted all pages and it is complete. There are no water stains and no handwriting inside. It does have considerable wear, including cover has piece of paper missing lower right corner as you see in the photo. Cover has creases and folds, rips and snips, soiling marks. Cover page has separated from the spine so while front and back paper is here it is separated at spine seam. Back cover paper has rips on left side and some missing paper which is the index and price list of accessories on reverse side. Inside pages 1-38 are here with illustrations mixed in with text. Soil marks here and there, rips and clips on edges, some folds. Note about page 18- there is a page number 18 glued to a page 18. Looks to me like the Davis Sewing Machine Co. wanted to update page 18 so they glued a revised page on top of the existing page.
