Hand-Painted and Signed by the Artist(see photo below) but I can not make out the name fully. Brass Framing around Both Lid and Bottom with Rope Edging. The Interior Lid and Base of the Box are Also Embellished with Florals. Box Measures a LARGE 10 1/2" Wide, 5 3/4" high, 6 3/4" Deep front to back. The beveled glass top is perfect, the hand painted gilt swirls& accents show minimal wear, and the porcelain base is 100% intact. The closure operates smoothly, but there is some age related wear to the back hinge(please see photos) Base is stamped"Made in Germany, but box is otherwise unmarked. One cherub stands behind a lady on a lounge chair looking into a mirror while another cherub tries to catch a butterfly in a net. The base features two cherubs playing with a gold ribbon. The back of the base features what I believe are a torch and either a fan or horn. The sides of the base feature bows. The box is entirely hand-painted. Measuring 3 3/4" long, 2 3/4" wide, and 2" tall, it is in excellent condition with no damage. Vintage beautiful porcelain box of German origin. This is not a contemporary reproduction. This box dated to around 1930' if not earlier. Delicate and substantial in size(measures 5" x 4" and stands 2 1/2" high) this box will look great on display or vanity desk and will bring ambiance to any decor. Made of white porcelain, the exterior painted in lovely cream and embellished with classic transfer picture of a lady and cherubim which is enhanced with hand painted details. All flowers and gold paint was painted by hand. The box mounted into gilded bronze could be brass mounts, has hinged lid and'S' shaped clasp. It is in very good condition without any damage. I found this in Glendale, Arizona. The gentleman I purchased it from had just found it in a local estate sale. I've owned it about 8 months. Lovely little box. Bottom is unglazed. 1.2 ounces. The box is a jadeite green color with gold trim and a white floral decoration on the lid. It is marked as shown. The piece measures 7 1/2 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide. the height is 2 3/4 inches. This is in very nice condition with one very tiny flaw. On a corner edge of the lid is a small surface fleck. Besides this there are no cracks, chips or other damages. The fleck is hardly noticeable when displayed since it is so small and the same color as the box. The gold trim is intact with just a little light aging in a couple areas. It's an attractive useful piece and displays well. T & V LIMOGES FRANCE SMALL PORCELAIN TRINKET JEWELRY DISH
This small round porcelain covered dish can be used for jewelry. Cosmetics or whatever you like. It's 2 1/2" wide with a lid. The dish and lid were painted with a unique pattern and the lid has raised dots to give it a slightly different texture. There's no packaging to go with this so I don't know it's age. On the bottom of the dish there's a stamp that reads T&V France.
