Molded ... morein the shape of a flask. And decorated with pink, green and yellow glaze, with a brown polished mouth. Spoon is stuck in the mouth as shown. It is about 2 5/8 inches long. About 26 grams(light weight) Mrs. Mary Morrison. Was a collector, former museum curator and lecturer on Asian art at the University of British Columbia, Canada. She also played an important role in creating the Canadian Society for Asian Arts which got its start in Vancouver in 1968. Over her lifetime, she collected a fabulous collection of Chinese antiques, mostly snuff bottles, and porcelain. Most of her pieces were collected between the 1940's- 70's in England and North America. We were lucky enough to purchase some of the nicer pieces which we are offering on ebay. All the items are completely authentic. Authenticated by Ms. Morrison, and also vetted by ourselves. The last picture shows other pieces we are listing today from the same collection. This type of bottle can be found in the late Qing period, but the mark reflects a manufacture of the Yongzheng period of 1723 to 1735, and likely is not of that period, probably 1850 to 1900, but certainly antique nonetheless! Really cool bottle! Measures 3 inches tall to stopper top or 7.6 cm. Really rare to see this mark on any snuff bottle, the mark is usually Qianlong period even if made well after that reign. Made by the French porcelain factory of Marc Eugene Clauss(1868-1896) Beautifully decorated in a raspberry colored scale pattern. To the lid is a brightly colored bird framed by gold gilt accents. The base is modeled with a ribbed edge adorned with gilt foliage. Encircled by hinged gilt bronze mounts, further enhanced by a scrolling foliate motif. The box opens to reveal a gilded interior. I'm not exactly sure what this piece would have been used for- it looks like it would have been for snuff or possibly hat or dress pins. It is handpainted porcelain with a silver hinged lid. I am not sure if this is sterling or silverplate as it is tarn ished and I don't see any hallmarks. This piece is in excellent antique condition- no chips. Cracks, crazing or paint loss. The silver lid closes snugly and hinges are in good working order. I have not cleaned the tarnish off the silver portion but I think it would shine up nicely if you cho ose to do so. Signed 19th Century Handpainted Porcelain Oriental Powder Snuff Trinket Box
What we have up for your consideration is a ADORABLE little handpainted porcelain or ceramic Oriental round lidded box. I'm NOT sure what is was really used for but I would assume for powder or snuff or anything small because it measures approximately 2 1/4" across by 7/8" thick. It is in EXCELLENT condition with NO chips or cracks. It is signed on the bottom. But I am VERY sorry to say that I can't translate the signature or information, but I was told that it was from the 19th century& that it was very nicely done. Thanks for Looking& Good Luck!

This particular box was created by Edme Samson of Paris in the late 19th century early 20th century. It measures 3-1/2 inches by 2-1/4 inches and stands almost 2 inches tall. The lid features polychrome enamels of the couple in bed with a flowered bedcover. Underneath is a vignette of flowers. In the interior of the box are two insects and the Chantilly horn mark. Here is a unique. Late 18th century patch or snuff box. It is hand painted and features a young man in a grey wig placing a rose in his companions hair. She is quite lovely and sits demurely beside him. Its' uncommon trefoil shape has brass mountings. The base also has a raised trefoil shape, painted gold. There is an underglaze blue mark dating from 1787- 1800. I had to loupe the mark as it is not the clearest. I have spent a lot of time, comparing both the French and German marks. It has an open circle at the top of the"X" and a horizontal line where the lines cross to form the"X" This appears to be correct and of the time period. I can't read it for sure. This is all handpainted with a nice rural scene on the lid, tiny floral designs on the remainder of the body both inside and out, gilded base. It measures 2 3/8 x 1 1/2 x 1" approx. and is in good condition with no flaws that I can see. The hardware appears to be brass or bronze and the lid snaps shut tightly. Antique 18th Century France Porcelain Patch Snuff Pill Box w/ Music Theme Lyre
I have a acquired a collection of 6 different patch or snuff boxes. All are porcelain with metal fittings. Only one is dated. But they all appear to be from the same period. Please see my other listings for the rest. This one is rectangular and somewhat trunk shaped. It measures 1 5/8 inches by 1 1/4 inches by 1 3/8 inches tall. The top features a lyre with branches. Green leaf garlands go around the top and bottom sides. The inside of the lid says"Maitre de Chapelle" The inside of the bottom has 3 blue dots. The bottom is marked. But I can't tell what the company is. The clasp features a design of a horseshoe. Hammer, anvil, and large tongs- all blacksmith tools and product. Please see the photos for the condition. No chips. Here is a lovely decorative antique French( snuff or patch box, hallmarked with a stylized N on the bottom. This patch box is in good condition for its age with a hairline crack running in a couple of places on the lid on the inside- it doesn't go through to the front. Additionally. There are several hairlines on the outside as well. And, there are two or three firing pops on the inside. The box has brass mounts and is marked as shown on the bottom. I haven't tried to get original price tag off the bottom- I'll leave that to the new owner. The antique store price was originally $500. The box measures 2 3/4 x 2 x 1 1/4 inch tall.
