Both stoppers have a pewter color glass trim and the same on the top of the bottles. The bottles are the same size but one has a larger neck and stopper. There is a small chip on the frosted edge of the large stopper. The small stopper has a small(hardly visible) chip on the side and you can see that the pewter goes all the way through. Not painted on. They are 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and 4-1/2" tall. I believe this is pressed or poured glass as I can see two seams starting on the necks of the bottle. Because the mouth flairs out, more like an open jar, and there's no lip etc. to indicate it may have had one. I thought it would make a fabulous vase for you, or a perfect open jar to put your balls, shells.you name it, this jar will make them shine! It's an antique blown glass piece, and the color is a lovely bright light green. It's also large, measuring 11 5/8" tall, 7" diameter at the mouth and 6" diameter at the base. It's heavy, weighing in at a solid 3 lbs. The glass is thick, and it's filled with anomolies original to the making- I'm trying to show in in my close ups, even holding it up to the sky doesn't show you very well, though. There's lots of lines(the glass is very wavy inside) bubbles and burps, even on the base. That being said, there is absolutely NO damage at all to this piece- it's in amazing condition, and just drop dead gorgeous! Please ask if you have any questions. Here we have today is a nice solid brass or bronze mortar with pestle. This nice mortar is 4 1/2" tall and 4 7/8" in diameter from rim to rim. The pestle is 8 3/4" long. Both pieces are heavy. This came from a collection kept in the garage for years by my brother-in-law who was a practicing doctor as was his father and grandfather before him. He died at age 93. Rare Antique Metal& Glass Apothecary Medical Pharmacy- Vintage Industrial Cabinet. This is the coolest medical cabinet. I have not seen anything like this one on EBay since I have been looking in this catagory. I remember seeing this cabinet when I was a kid in Dr Mc Danials office in 1962 with all the bottles and jars so clean and orderly. This medical cabinet came from a closed doctors office in eastern Nebraska. It appears to be the original paint with the original beveled glass on the sides. The combination of metal and glass makes this medical cabinet very heavy. I had a locksmith make a couple of keys for the lock. He is good at what he does. The lock mechanism moves smoothly.The latches that the key would turn to unlock and lock the unit where removed and could not be found. I am talking to a couple metal manufactures now regarding ... morethe fabrication of the locking bars. The dimminsion are approximately: 60 3/4" high x 30 1/2" wide x 15 1/4 deep. I am selling a large personal collection of vintage& antique apothecary bottles& jars that have been in storage for 25 years. These four old pharmacy bottles have ground necks and stoppers. The largest bottle(at back) is not marked. This jar has no chips or cracks. The rim is smooth though there are a couple of tiny flea bites and a few dark specs in the glass at the edge. The ground stopper has a small chip at the top edge. No other nicks or flea bites. It measures 8 3/4" tall to the rim, 9 3/4" tall with the stopper& 3 3/8" in diameter. The jar to the left is embossed with the number"66" or"99" No nicks. Chips or cracks. There are bubbles and straw marks and a few tiny black specs. The ground stopper is perfect. It measures 7" high at the rim. 7 7/8" tall with the stopper& 3 1/8" ... morein diameter. This small bottle(front and center) is not marked. It has a rough pontil mark as though mold blown. No nicks. Chips or cracks and one tiny flea bite at the rims edge. T he ground stopper is in great shape with one tiny flea bite at the bottom edge. It measures 6" to the rim. 6 3/4" tall with the stopper& 2 1/8" in diameter. The jar on the right is embossed"L&L 1-1" No nicks. Chips or cracks to the jar. The ground stopper has two small flea bites at the ground bottom edge. These are all the correct lids and fit nice and snug. The glass to all is clear with just a bit of hazing and light scratches consistent with age. Combined wei ght is 3 pounds. 14 ounces, prior to packing. THESE ARE 2 VINTAGE GLASS APOTHECARY JARS WITH ORIGINAL LABELS. THE FIRST IS THE RAREST AND FROM THE EARLY 20TH CENTURY. IT IS LABELED LIN. CHLOROFOR AND STANDS 8 1/2" TALL WITH STOPPER. IT IS QUITE UNIQUE AND IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR IT'S AGE WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. THE 2ND MEASURES 6" X 3 1/2" AND HAS NO LID. These three old pharmacy bottles have ground necks and ground glass stoppers. Left to right: This jar is not marked. The jar has no chips or cracks. There is a tiny flea bite at the rim. The large flat topped stopper has a few small nicks at the under edge and a flea bite at the bottom edge. One large bubble near the base. It measures just over 6" tall to the rim. 6 3/4" tall with the stopper& 3 1/4" in diameter. The center jar is marked"TCW Co. USA 6-M-6" No nicks chips or cracks to the jar and the rim is smooth. The flat topped ground stopper has one nick to the bottom edge of the ground portion. It measures ... more5 1/4" to the rim. 5 1/2" tall with the stopper& 2 1/2" in diameter. The jar on the right has no markings but a"button" like a raised circle at the bottom. The domed lid is most unusual and appears to have been hand blown. No cracks or chips. There is a tiny flea bite at the edge of the ground rim. The lid is in fine condition. No nicks, chips, cracks or flea bites. This jar measures 7" to the rim, 7 1/2" high with the stopper& 2 3/4" in diameter. These are all the correct lids and fit nice and snug. The glass to all is clear with slight hazing. Straw marks and light scratches consistent with age. Combined wei ght is 2 pounds. 9 ounces, prior to packing. See my current listings for more apothecary and pharmaceutical jars& bottles. Up for auction are these two vintage Apothecary Bottles or Jars with Stoppers. These measure approx. 9 1/2" tall with the stopper and about 3 1/2" across. The glass is brilliant. Showing much doubt that they were ever used before. The bottom is marked with a W inside of a cirlce, I believe that makes these Wheaton, but not positive. Great jars tho, in excellent condition. The lids were just meant to sit on top(no seals) Most likely these jars were onced used in a pharmacy. They would look awesome with q-tips and cotton balls sitting upon a vanity sink top.
