Copper & Brass Antique Unique Medicine Medical Inhaler? Blower Steam Kool!
This very old solid brass and copper piece has been sitting around cause I love old metals. The copper and brass are beautiful and I thought it was very unique. I was told it was a medical old instrument. An inhaler. It has a blowpipe that looks like the horn piece was soldered on. There is a hole on top and a tiny hole where the two meet and you would inhale or blow some fluid. The piece is enclosed. No opening. Was this some kind of early drug apparatus? Antique Wood Medicine Cabinet
This auction is for a used wood medicine/towel cabinet with mirrored door. The cabinet has"The Crescent Towel Co. decal on door and and stenciled on rear of cabinet with the name and crescent moon logo. I believe the cabinet dates from the early 1900's. The cabinet has a top exterior shelf and bottom towel bar. There are three interior shelves. The top two are fixed and the bottom shelf has a cutout in it. I'm not sure if it's removable, I didn't force it. I'm not sure what the knob is or if it's original or not. Seems to be ceramic. The door has a crack at the top inside of the door which does not stop the door from working. The spring in the door lock is also missing but door will remain closed. There are also some stray paint splatter and drippings along the top and sides where the wall must have been painted ... moreand the cabinet not removed from wall. Antique Tooled leather physicians medicine carrier, holds 6 pill bottles.
This is a real nice and very well constructed leather medicine bottle carrier. It has a snap to close. Personalized with initials EEK, canvas lined interior glued to the leather, holds six pill bottles. Five of the six bottles have cork tops and gold paper label with something written on the front but cannot make it out. The smallest bottle does have a good label and a fancy metal cap. The bottle separators are actually the small straps you see on the back that are fed thru and tied off. The leather is still soft and in very good condition. Extra effort was taken to add the tooled borders and stylized front flap. It measures 5 3/8" wide and 3" high. and 1" thick. I'm guessing late 19th c and possibly very early 20th c. This cabinet is in good condition with only a separation on the door panel due to age shrinkage. It is made from solid oak and the inside back panel is cedar. The inside is nice and clean and it retains the original 2 shelves. It also retains the original glass knob. There are two metal hangers on the back where it can be mounted to the wall. First bottle starting left to right embossing reads Pyrex tm reg us pat off made in U.S.A. 18 5" x 2 1/2" diameter stained inside never washed. Second bottle Bromo-seltzer emerson drug company co. baltimore.MD. 5" x 2" diameter nice cobalt blue glass with a few bubbles. Third bottle is Dark Amber with no embossing but has nice patina with many beautifull bubbles and applied top. 7" x 2 3/4" slight fog inside and one pot stone has a 1/8' leg on the shoulder shown fully in the third pic. Fourth bottle Citrate Magnesia 633 7 7/8" x 2 1/2" diameter. Blob top with two cast lines shown in pics. 10 leave panels around the shoulder with nice bubbles.

Antique Quack? Medicine IONTAPHOR Medical Device FREE SHIPPING!!!
This auction is for a device that I thought might be a quack medical device but it seems the modern version of it is a very lucrative and high quality instrument. And quite costly I might add. I suppose this is one of the early versions, probably not pre 30s but more likely in the forties. It is made by a W. D. Tallman in Ashland Ohio. The divice here is pretty much all there but upon removing the dial cover I find all the parts, but a three pronged cord with nothing plugged into it. It might have been the power source, ie. some sort of battery or something. I can't really explain the purpose of this Iontaphor but it has something to do with aligning the ions in the body to absorb more medicines or something to that effect. It contains the wires and several lead sheets for connectivity, a glass test tube and a cloth wrap and of course ... morethe meter and switch panel. One source even listed it as a device to enable the enamel in the teeth to absorb medicine. I hope you know much more about this than I do. Very nice. Old antique cast iron mortar and pestle, which holds about 20 oz. of fluid. There is a mark on the bottom, but has been rubbed away, somewhat, and I can't make it out. There is an S, but that is all I can discern clearly. I do not think the Coricidin pestle is not original to the mortar, and is vintage. But, I could be wrong. Mortar is 4 1/2" high and 5" diameter, and weighs about 5 1/2 pounds. The pestle is 7" high. Both are in excellent, used, antique condition, with very nice patinas. Antique Ornate Brass Mortar & Pestle Apothecary Medicine RX Large & Heavy
This is a BIG ONE! Solid cast brass stands 5& 3/4 inches tall with a mouth that is 6.5 inches and a base that measures almost 5 inches in diameter. The thickness of the rim is a quarter inch of solid metal. This weighs about 10 pounds with the pestle. The mortar is adorned with Latin and what looks to be an owl motif. But I cannot be sure. It has a sticker on the inside that says Made In Holland. Medicine Balance Scale This is an accurate balance scale made in Japan more than 100 years ago. It was actually used at a clinic in Japan. On the bottom surface of the case it says it was bought in the 40th year of the Meiji Period(1907) The scale is inside the glass case in wooden frame. Which makes it less likely to be affected by airflow when substanceis weighed on it. This kind of scale is hard to find at the present day. The scale which comes with perfect set of standard weights still works correctly. It is about 12 inch wide. 6 1/2 inch depth, 12 inch height, and weighs 2.6kg. You can see in my photos that the door has clear glass, as it was last used as a Collector Display Cabinet. The good news is that the original old Beveled glass mirror was saved, as well as the mirrors wood backing. The mirror is included in the auction, and will be shipped with the cabinet.
