BIG Vintage Lot Medical And Dental Tools With Wooden Storage Box
Here is a nice lot of vintage medical and/or dental tools. I got these all lumped together as you see them here. I would guess there are better than 50 pieces in this lot but I did not actually count them! All kinds of stuff- I don't really know what alot of it was used for. Some pieces are marked. Most appear to be made of stainless steel. All of this comes with a very nice wooden box. The box measures 8 3/8" x 15 7/8" and is about 3 5/8" deep. Looks hand made. There is a date of 6/7/1946 and a name on the inside of the lid. Overall good/fair condition of the tools with wear and corrosion and some cleaning is in order. Rare Civil War Era Medical Amputation Surical Tools -- RARE --Set of Four
This rare set of four cauterizing tools was primarily used during the Civil War in the amputation of limbs. The unusual tips are carved from what appears to be translucent agate. Each tool has a long brass furl and a wood handle. It is my understanding the tips were made of stone so that when the tool was heated the flesh would not stick. Vintage Set of 4 Curettes Surgical Medical Tools W/ Vollrath Stainless Holder
You are bidding on a lot of 4 vintage stainless steel Curettes. I believe these are surgical tools used for scraping tissue. Such as in a Dilation and Curettage procedure. Three of the are Sklar brand, the other is a Misdom-Frank, made in Germany. I am also including a Vollrath stainless steel holder for the tools, holder is 7 1/2 inches high and 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Tools and holder have some surface wear, holder is engraved. Vintage Antique Medical Veterinary Surgical Tools Blades with Case
For your consideration is this rare antique surgical kit with tools and knife blades as shown. The tools do have tarnish. Rust and spots of plating loss and are coming to you as found. I have no good knowledge of the use or what is there or missing. The velvet lined case displays the set nicely especially the blades, really intimidating! There are 10 loose instruments, all metal with one having an ebony wood handle. The item in the next to last photo has a split down the back side of the tube. Overall the case measures 16" x 18" x 4" and is solid and in pretty good shade. The latches on the case work well but do not have keys. Antique vintage primitive wood medical doctor box bag, sign, vials, blade, tools
Up for auction to U.S. customers only is some old medical memorabilia. Apparently from two different doctors. Included is a black wood box with bottles, vials, tools, blades(for scalpels, I think) catgut, needles, and a variety of tools- I can't be sure but I think most are incomplete. Check out the pictures. There's an MD medallion; I guess it could have been used on the doctor's vehicle. And there's a wooden sign in the shape of a doctor's bag which apparently was nailed somewhere on or in the office. Although these were together at the estate sale there are two different doctor's names- Baldi on the sign and Bennett on the box. I have no history on these pieces so it could be they were partners, one took over the other's practice, or these items were part of a bigger medical collection- take your choice. The ... moresign is 13 x 10 inches and the box is 13 x 7 x 5 inches closed. The box is worn, the handle taped and part of the finish is crackled; the sign has two nail holes. Altogether this is an interesting assortment to add to your collection or just for an unusual display. I don't know anything else about this item so please ask questions.
