Beautiful gray- green antique prosthetic human glass eye set in a hand carved. Sterling silver Tooth Fish pendant mounting, made by me, using the lost wax method of casting. This toothy fellow arrives on a 1.5 mm sterling silver seamless snake chain. 18 inches in length. Photos don't do him justice. As it is quite difficult to capture the various colors the glass artist used in this unique antique glass eye. Easy to appreciate when held up to the light. As the back of this pendant is open. Tooth Fish measures 1.65 inches long by 1.48 inches from the bottom of his fin to the top of his bail. And is approximately 1.60 inches thick. Tooth Fish weighs approximately 16 grams. Wearable Art! RARE Antique PROSTHETIC HUMAN GLASS EYE with Original Leather Case
Its a little bit creepy. here is an old glass prosthetic human eye. And the original case it came in. The eye measures about 1 1/8" x 1" x 1/2" and is in excellent condition. The case shows wear, the outside is thin leather or cloth, the inside is cloth. It looks like a name is written in there, but I cannot make it out. the case measures 1 5/8" square x 3/4" high. I imagine the type of case could kind of identify an estimate on the age, but I would have no idea. Please check out the pictures, and thank you for looking.

This top-quality vintage prosthetic glass eye. From the mid 20th century, was made by one of the most highly regarded ocularists in the New York City area. The glass is shaped like an inverted shell(last photo) enabling the prosthesis to be fitted over a ball of tissue constructed inside the eye socket. This eye is brown, with the white showing a number of veins, and it's extremely realistic. The measurements are 1" by 7/8" by 5/16" deep. In the end of the 19th century eye surgery had advanced so much that it allowed the use of these limbs. Excellent craftsmanship. Even for today technology this is a masterpiece of glass art. The iris detail down the cornea and the little red veins in the sclera are truly amazing. These eyes were in use during WWI and WWII, when eye injuries were far too common. Creepy Human Glass Brown Eye Eyeball Copper Ornate Jewelry Trinket Box OOAK
Hi and welcome to my auction! I have created this fun. Creepy human/doll eyeball Ox bone inspired jewelry trinket box. The glass iris are from Germany where they were dug up near a old glass eye doll factory(1870-1900) I have used polymer clay, covered the top of a small wooden box. The brown eye is inside of a copper ornate frame. I have stained and used a clear glaze for that wet shiny look and protection, the inside is stained. The eyeball/lid is about 1 inch and in good shape, the box measures 3.5" across by 2 inches tall and 2.25 inches deep. Now you can have a fun place to keep your"Creepy" jewelry in! Vintage Human Prosthetic Artificial Glass Eye Conformers
These were. I believe, used to fit glass or acrylic eyes to people who required an artificial eye. Judging from the box, I'd say they date anywhere from the 1940's to 1970's. That's just my opinion. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself, and bid accordingly. The first six in the picture seem to be made of a hard acrylic product. The third row of three are made of a flexible plastic, and one of those looks like it has been trimmed a bit around the edges. The last two clear ones are also a hard acrylic type product. One of those has interior crackles, but nothing that affects the outside of it. The red thing, I assume, was used to place the conformers in the socket.
