I call this the" Little Witch" a piece of lab equipment. Medical, drug store. but I'm really not sure! Found with many bottle from the 1800's so I assume it is from that era It can't stand on it's own so I used some furniture pads to keep it upright. The T.C. Wheaton Company was started in 1888 by Dr. Theodore C. Wheaton. They started by making ampoules. Viles, and chemical bottles. In 1892 they expanded and started to produce perfume bottles, and in 1937 expanded again to accommodate the growing consumer demand. 1946 the Wheaton Glass Company started to delineate the different product lines. The company was sold to Algroup in 1996. The four heavy glass chemical bottles are: Acid Acetic, Ammonium Hydroxide, Barium Chloride, and Alcohol. Rare Antique Laboratory Apparatus Galvanometer Wood Brass Early
This is a very nice and hard to find 1900s galvanometer made by the University Apparatus Company of Berkeley. California. It is in very good condition for its age. It features a brass indicator with glass 5.0 inches in diameter, surrounded by an 8.0 inch brass ring wound with fine green wire. The wooden base is also 8.0 inches in diameter. The needle is two-tone silver and blue, and rotates freely. It rests on a pin. There are three black leveling posts around the outside. There are a number of screw posts on the unit, three on the back marked 5, 10 and 15, and a pair on the front marked 500.

We are not certain of the age of the lamps but the glass has the wavy appearance. Bubbles and seeds characteristic of antique Victorian glass. The largest lamp measures about 4.25" high with the cap on. The metal cap contains the wick and is screw threaded. As is the neck of the glass lamp. The unit measures approx 8 inches(200mm) long by 4 inches(100mm) wide by 4 1/2 inches tall. And is made from brown bakelite, with lacquered brass fittings. You are looking at an antique laboratory metal stand with clamp. On the clamp are the initials A.H.T. CO. which stand for Arthur H. Thomas Company. Maker of scientific, laboratory and pharmaceutical equipment at the turn of the century. Heavy. It stands 33 inches high. When fully extended it is 50 and 1/2 inches high. Clamp( top) is 11 inches. Botton turned tubing is 13 and 5/8 inches. Base is 7 inches wide. All parts turn. Bottom part of clamp is adjustable. The inside part of the tube that was inside the other tube is a shiny white metal. Chrome? I don't know if it is chrome. Maybe if polished it would reveal its true finish. Old Antique Boxed "Stovink" Bottle, Johnson's Laboratory, Worcester MA 1910 era
Here's an interesting old or antique bottle of with it's original cardboard box and contents intact. This one is a product called"Stovink" that was produced by Johnson's Laboratory. Inc. of Worcester Massachusetts from the late 1800's into the 20th century. This one has markings on the box indicating several patent dates with the latest one being 1910. The advertisement information on the box indicates that"Stovink is not a Stove Polish" yet that's what the category of product it fell into in the store. Apparently it was designed to last longer or work better specifically on the parts of the stove that reach the greatest heat, and have a tendancy to turn to a reddish color more quickly than other parts of the cook stove or parlor stove, etc. The advertising logo and motto on the box reflect on the unregulated ... moreadvertising practices of this period. They are English in construction and dates to the end of the 19th century. C 1890. The base of the brass column is signed OERTLING LONDON. The case is made of a lovely rich mahogany wood- which has been varnished. I would imagine that you might wish to have someone strip of the old varnish and to french polish the outside of the case- as there are some losses to the old varnish commensurate with age. Very Rare Antique Lead Caustic Bottle Chemistry Scientific Laboratory Heavy
You are bidding on a very rare antique lead caustic bottle. This bottle measures 5 1/8" tall x 1 5/8" at the base and is heavy for its size.almost 1 pound 2 ounces. We believe it was intended for caustic/corrosive materials in a laboratory. We do also believe the bottle is part iron with the lead, due to the slight rusting in bottom of inside of bottle and that a magnet will stick to it which lead alone wouldn't do. We did discuss this with someone who has a doctorate in science who said it has to be mostly lead because of the weight of the bottle. We got the bottle at a estate sale where a huge amount of everything in the house was from the 1800's and no later than the early 1900's. This particular sale had quite a large collectgion of very old medicine/apothecary bottles also. Pertaining to the age, we are pretty sure ... moreits antique but how antique we dont know. Here we have a rare find and that would be an older vintage CENCO 4 burner torch. Designed for long pieces it has as you can see two adjustable rests on either end which will hold the glass at the desired height as it is turned. Base is about 4 1/4 inch across, the bar that holds the torch heads and rest bars is about 10 3/4 inch long.Torches stand about 6 inch above the bar. Offered here is an excellent example of their Laboratory model microscope with an uncommon nickel-plated brass finish. This model microscope was designed and made by Ernst Gundlach during his relatively brief period of employment with Bausch& Lomb from 1876 to 1879. This early Gundlach-type microscope model is quite rare. Being in production for only about two years. As such, it will be of considerable special interest to collectors of Bausch& Lomb antique microscopes, as it is a model that rarely, if ever, is offered for sale in this venue. This instrument bears the name of the manufacturer on the front face of the nickel-plated brass body sleeve. Bausch& Lomb Optical Co. Rochester, N.Y. see the accompanying composite image that shows this engraving) However, this instrument does not bear a typical serial number. Here is a cool postcard for someone who collects antique science& pharmaceutical items! This is an early 1900's. Black& white postcard with a photo of a scientist in his laboratory; he's obviously posing for the photo showing what he does best. This is a cool old postcard as this is not the most common subject seen on these. Postcard is the standard 5 3/8" X 3 3/8" Black& white, and is blank on the back-no writing or postmarks. Please look at my pictures carefully as this is an old& original postcard! It does show some wear. But not too much-there is some wear around the edges, a 1/4" tear at the top, a slight crease/bend in the center, and some browning on the back.
