Has a beautiful carved back with open work detail. The top rail has a carved plume or shell the legs are carved chippendale. The seat is webbed and filled with horsehair. The upholstery is fresh and clean with a burgundy/rust color with yellow details. The beautiful nailhead trim on 3 side of the chairs is brass. Delicate SIGNED Floral Ribbon vintage pastel medallion quilt +quilted pillowcase

Delicate pastel patterns, excellent appliqué and quilting, plus a distinctive layout planned for just how it would lay on the bed: these would make this sweet circa 1920's summerweight quilt lovely enough. But it actually has a couple more really wonderful extras: it's signed in golden embroidery along an edge and it comes with a sweet little mini pillow sham that perfectly reprises the featured motif and is even beautifully hand-quilted. A rare and lovely set in excellent condition! Size The quilt measures about 76 x 85 inches. The sham is 14 inches square and looks like it was designed to accommodate a pillow about 1 inch thick. Quilting The hand-quilting is lovely. With 5-6 little stitches to the inch on the quilt and 8-9 on the pillow sham. Counting ... moreon the top side of the quilt only. The flowing feathered vines and feathered teardrops are balanced and graceful and the double-outline double hearts at intersections are a sweet touch. The diagonals over the background are 1 1/2 inches apart. The sham is quilted in diagonal square grid, lines spaced a scant 1 1/2 inches apart. Construction The quilt is expertly hand-appliquéd and hand embroidered. Backing. Binding& Batting The backing is the same fine. Tight weave of sheeting as the front. The perfect little 3/8-inch straight-grain binding is invisibly machine-stitched to the front. Rolled and hand-stitched tight on the reverse. The batting is super thin and completely even. Condition The set's condition is excellent: strong. Sturdy, crisp and clean. It has a 1-inch segment of popped binding on the pillow sham. Was used in a voice-over recording studio for many years and has always worked flawlessly. Has some purely cosmetic scratches from normal usage in a broadcast television studio. Some of this microphone's history is also known. It was originally purchased by the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service(AFRTS) and shipped to their television station in Okinawa. Japan(Far East Network, FEN-Okinawa) AFRTS stations were operated to provide information and entertainment to US Military personnel and their families who were stationed overseas. I was a US Marine working at FEN-Okinawa from 1986 to 1991 and saw this microphone in use. It even still has the original FEN-Okinawa ... moreinventory stickers on it. Both the microphone and the mounting hanger were declared"surplus" in about 1990 and ended up being sold by DoD at a surplus auction, where I purchased it. I have done voice-over work for many years and this was one of my preferred microphones for most of those years. I have now gotten out of the voice-over business, so it is for sale. For years the KU-3A was regarded as the“standard of quality comparison in the major motion picture industry” It was also popular with TV broadcasters in live studio programs where boom operation was necessary. Its excellent frequency response and output was very uniform over its frontal pickup angle of 90 degrees. This afforded broader tolerances in microphone handling on booms. The KU-3A was also the most expensive ribbon microphone produced by RCA. The KU-3A is still prized today as a premium microphone for professional recording where a ribbon is desired. Over the next couple of weeks I will be listing loads of lace items. All were given to me 40 years ago by a 90 year old woman. Who has worked as a seamstress in London from the age of 10 years old! so the pieces I have are from about 1886 onwards. Nonw of the lace[this piece or any I will be offering] has a musty smell, but it does need washing to remove yellowing from age. I used many of the pieces I had in dressing antique dolls that I had either collected or reproduced myself. Unfortunately my hands and eyes don't enjoy doing such fine work anymore. A functioning Reslo mike which has not been used for 40 odd years and then only had light use from my father who was a fastidious engineer. I have plugged it into a sound card and got results but I cannot vouch for the quality. It comes with a stand with switch and cable. Vintage lace trim huge lot of many pieces many colors red ribbon cotton blend
An Estate find. Huge lot of lace trim. Most feels like cotton blend. Some are as narrow as binding lace trim. There is a whole roll of red satin ribbon. 1/2 inch wide. That is about 100 yards, just in case something was missing from the roll. There are gathered lace pieces in different colors, that may be a bit lighter in pictures that in life. Most are at least a yard, but many much more. There is simply too many here to measures individually. For size reference, the roll of red ribbon is just under 6 inch in diameter. The white and purple trim in picture 5 is 4 inch wide and 1 yard 10 inches long. They range from 1/4 inch wide to 4 inch wide. All look like have never been used, but they come from different sources, stored for number of years, and some storage discoloration may be visible.
