This is a very cute little Young Lady Figurine. Irish Dresden by(MV) Muller Volkstedt. Her name is"Ina" A lot of detail on this figurine and in Great condition, which means: no lace loss, cracks, chips or repairs. Fingers are all intact and I don't see any damage to the flowers in her dress. Her dress is very frilly and in white/cream and pink. Her hair looks to be light brown, little bit of color on her face and has colored lips. She is approximately 3" x 3" Very nice addition for any Dresden collector or the porcelain doll collector. The Irish Dresden stamp is on the bottom of the base, as is the MV, her name, Ireland, and the year 1978. All of this you can see in the pictures posted here. This is a fabulous antique Irish crochet lace collar. It is from a local estate. The collar is very large. The outside circumference is almost 60" The inside circumference is 16" and it is 9" wide. The detail of the hand work is amazing. We were told by an expert that the lace is not tatted(which we were told) but Irish crochet with dimensional flowers and clovers with picot bar joinings. Who knew? The condition is excellent. There may be minor discoloration. But we really can't see any. There are no tears. It has been kept in perfect shape. Antique to vintage Irish? insert lace 1 1/2 yards by 1 1/2 inches wide handmade?
Over the next couple of weeks I will be listing loads of lace items. All were given to me 40 years ago by a 90 year old woman. Who has worked as a seamstress in London from the age of 10 years old! so the pieces I have are from about 1886 onwards. Nonw of the lace[this piece or any I will be offering] has a musty smell, but it does need washing to remove yellowing from age. I used many of the pieces I had in dressing antique dolls that I had either collected or reproduced myself. Unfortunately my hands and eyes don't enjoy doing such fine work anymore. So it's time to stop hoarding! As I am not a lace'buff' I will try to do my best in naming them. But could very well get it wrong. I much prefer to let the pictures speak for themselves. Under a magnifying glass it almost looks like a piece that was crocheted by'fairies. Much more beautiful in real life than in pictures because of the very, very delicate work. BEAUTIFUL. HIGHLY DETAILED 56" long and 5.75" wide with the ends flaring to 7" wide. Most likely a 19th c piece. This beautiful tambour lace, hand stitched onto soft netting, is a family piece that I believe is Limerick lace because of our 19th C connections to County Limerick and Limerick City. It is clean but not bright white, possibly the tan coloring is age. It is in very good to excellent condition with a few minor tears in the netting. The chain stitching is very detailed with the scarf being covered in a repeated patter of three leaf clovers and dots. Edging work is scalloped with what appears to be another clover or plant. The ends of this scarf or clerical scapular is filled with designs including leaves, repeated clovers, possible thistles and a harp, so Irish. Up for auction is a fantastic Irish or English linen embroidered and lace table runnr. A fantastic 70 inches long by 21 inches wide. This cloth is being sold as is due to some pinpoint holes or ware through areas. Still very very usable in the large size. Just great, I love this and have used it for Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter, it really looks fantastic on a large dinner table. Shipping and Insurance are a flat $5.50 within the US. Antique Vintage Irish Linen Tablecloth Hand Embroidered Open Lace Work 72X72
This is a lovely antique or vintage pure linen tablecloth that is hand made and covered with lovely hand work. Hand sewn edges. The size is 72 X 72 inches. It could also be used a bedspread or coverlet. It is photographed on my king size bed. I find no holes or tears. But there are several faint stains and it is wrinkle from storage

Hand made Lefkara Lace/Irish Linen with French Thread Coasters
This is a set of six cream Irish Linen coasters They have have been hand embroidered in what is called French threading. They have never been used and are still in the orginal packaging. Each coaster measures 9cms across. I could see these being used in a variety of ways apart from the orginal usage. Thank you for your interest.
