Offered is this wonderful old Victorian photo album. The back is a green velvet which is a little faded on the narrow side. On the front is a lovely celluloid farmhouse scene. The interior has thick board pages with gilt edges and design. It hold 18 photos. The photo openings are 2 X 3 1/4" Included are 2 wonderful photos. one of a young girl and a goat- the other is of two young girls with stylish hats. There is some damage to the interior back spine. I inherited this love seat. It has come down through several generations of the family and I have had it for 10 years. It is currently covered in green velvet fabric. Which is how it came to me. it seems obviously not to be the original covering though pressing gently on the upholstery, it has that slightly crunchy sound of original stuffing that may include horsehair and such from the olden days. This fingerjoined box has a wonderful bright honey color. It’s 6 1/2” long x 3 1/4” tall x 3 1/3” deep. Easy to close, it just rolls up, snaps shut, and is lined with its original burgundy velvet. Velvet is in excellent condition but needs some dusting or however one cleans 100 year old velvet— color is strong and there are no splits or tears. Antique Peacock Tapestry* This auction is for a huge vintage peacock tapestry. Wall hanging or rug! I believe it is either made of silk or velvet for it is extremely soft and well made. It was purchased at a estate sale and said to be in the range of $600. It measures a whopping 64 inches wide and 44 inches tall. This piece has a great assortment of vivid colors and details in it. I do not know the age or maker as it is no type of label left on it. It appears to be old but does not smell musty or dirty and unfortunately there has been some discoloration in the piece(pictured)I can only assume it was left in an area where the sun discolored the top. Hi up for auction is an antique piano stool from my personal collection. It measures: 18 1/2" tall an the seat is: 13 x 13. The piece has a nice faded velvet like top. Colors: Cream. Pink and red. On the back are a ivory damask flower silk material. The collar measures 18" long. 5 1/2" thick, and has a 34" c inner collar. The shoulders measure 9 1/2" long x 2" wide. This quilt includes so many embroideries. Appliques, pleated fans and hand painted items. This is a treasure trove of needlework It is mostly in good condition with a few fraying spots and break down of certain fabric and paint. It has been backed more recently with a satin type fabric. Antique Singer Sewing Machine 1889 Oak Puzzle Box with Original Red Velvet Cloth
Every late 1800s Singer Sewing Machine was sold with one of these accessory boxes. Box is clearly stamped with the patent date— February 19. 1889 and contained all the attachments for the Singer Sewing Machine. This fingerjoined box has a wonderful warm honey color. It’s 6 1/2” long x 3 1/4” tall x 3 1/3” deep. Easy to close, it just rolls up, snaps shut, and is lined with its original red burgundy velvet. Velvet is in excellent condition— color is strong and there are no splits or tears. From what I can see from the last picture(a reprint of the original manual for the#11 and#27 Singer Sewing Machine) a few items are missing, but still more complete than most listed on eBay. A laser reprint of the accessory sheet will be included with your purchase. Hinges are tight and in good operating order and glue joints are strong. Box retains its ... moreoriginal finish. This nicely preserved table top frame measures 10” x 6” overall with a reveal of 6 ½” x 4 ¾” and a mat reveal of 5 3/8” x 3 5/8” and back rabbet opening of app. 7” x 5” It is crafted of soft wood with very high relief. Crisp molded gesso having a warm glaze in imitation of wood and the sides of the frame have a“ragged” burl glaze. There are no losses in the gesso and the surface shows minor wear. Has yellow-satin-lining, the condition is very good with nothing broken, no cracks or chips or holes to case or yellow satin lining, nothing warped or bent-lays flat and even and closes evenly, there are no rips or holes or stains to case or to lining(see pics) no dents, the surfaces of the black velevt are worn on edges and corners but there are no holes or rips, shows some expected wear, the soft velvet bottom shows some small tiny pierced spots on its surface and some tiny darkened spots and wear(see pics) case measures approx. 4 1/8" ... morelong x 2" deep x 1" tall. There is also included in the offering an antique iron skeleton key which is old and worn with some rust on surface but it is solid with no breaks. Chips, or cracks-it is not bent or warped. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN ERA SILK COTTON VELVET FRAGREM RICH COPPER RUST BEAR 23"x16.5
This auction is for a lovely antique circa 1800s lush silk velvet textile remnant salvaged from a runner of the Victorian era. It has a unique texture. Is quite soft and is not of the norm, i.e. its pile is not a tight, tight weave, and it just has a whole different feel to it. This is not meant in a bad way. It is just a unique type of velvet. Please look at Photo 4 to see its texture at a closer view(this shows its texture/ribbing in best detail) It is in very good condition with no major issues. However. Inherent with age and storage, there are two very small slits that are not even noticeable unless held to the light and there may be a discoloration mark in one area, but at this time I cannot even find it. One will also see thread wear at the bottom edge(see Photo 5) The last photo shows the 5/8" hemline at the one edge. Its fiber ... morecontents are a silk/cotton blends with a cotton base and is in a gorgeous shade of rich copper/rust, in my opinion. Although it was originally a Victorian piano runner, it is very pliable and easy to work with. It is very suitable for doll jackets, hats, embellishment of coats, as well as bears. It should be noted that due to age and storage, this should still be handled with care. Please do NOT pull on the existing slits or it will damage it further. Also, do not wash this or soak this;it is suggested that it be left as is, which in my opinion, is in fine condition. This does not mean the fabric is brittle or deteriorating. It is just"old" and should be handled gently. This is not flimsy thin. This is being sold"As Is" If one wishes for absolute perfection or a specific shade, please think carefully before, placing a bid, since all monitors are set differently.
