Measuring appx. 21 by 48 inches including the twisted wire six inch fringe.a lace overlay on a copper background that feels and appears like a compination of silk and metallic thread.absolutely stunning.the background fabric has splitting consistent with age.the detioration is such that the piece is still strong and beautiful, but it has splitting throughout which is not very obvious when the piece is laying down.it is thick, flannel type background and really is in excellent condition other than what was mentioned. The lace is 1 inch wide at the end of the scallop. And 13/16 in between the scallops. There are metallic threads interwoven into this lace. The metallic threads have aged in color. Used. But in good condition. One of the close-ups shows a flaw; the tip of the scissors is pointing at the thread that has separated. The few flaws that I noticed were similar: the metallic thread at the top edge or the bottom edge had come apart, but could easily be redirected. I am not a lace expert. I think this is machine made. Here we have an absolutely gorgeous Antique 1920's Flapper dress metallic floral lace trim. Yes. It measures an entire 1 yard +3" long by 32" wide! It is a golden metallic on a silver cotton ground, straight on one edge, scalloped on the other. We had the hardest time trying to get a good photo of it. We placed a tape measure across it for you could see the size of the floral design. It is in wonderful condition for its age, a few small holes, the largest being 1 5/8, see photos. There are no major flaws that I detect showing no signs of deterioration or brittleness. There is no tarnishing. Rips, tears or stains. Antique OVAL TABLE RUNNER damask velvet doiley metallic lace tapestry needlepoin
This outstanding table runner measures 28" x 15" 71cm x 38cm) It dates from the 1920s. And comes from Switzerland(see photo 9 for label) The center oval applique is a rose/green/gold/ecru damask fabric edged with narrow dark gold metallic braid. The wavy oval shape of the whole runner is edged with dark gold metallic lace that is scalloped. Dusty rose velvet surrounds the center damask applique. And there is a ring mark at one end, also some very tiny marks that hardly show(photos 5 and 6) The back is lined with gold silk which has some very pale stains(photo 10) Given the age of this table runner. Antique damask TABLE RUNNER velvet doiley needlepoint metallic lace tapestry
This table centerpiece comes from Austria. And measures 23.5" x 13" 60cm x 34cm) It dates from the 1920s and is sewn by machine. The center design is made from a silk damask fabric(pale gold and rust) which is appliqued onto gold velvet and edged in antique metallic dark gold braid. There is a little fraying at the curve where the damask touches the braid but it is hardly noticeable because the colour blends in. The gold velvet background is adorned with antique metallic lace braiding around the edges. There are no stains but the velvet has some"scratch" marks that come from use and really just add patina to the velvet. The back is lined with pale gold cotton fabric. No odors. This auction is for a wonderful antique vintage intricately woven gold metallic lace trim with bejeweled faceted glass flowers and faux pearls. This was in a lot of 1920s trims. It has a Kelly green grosgrain ribbon sewn onto the underside. The pearls do have wear as can be seen in photos. However, it is still an interesting trim. It consists of five(5) thick glass flowers in beautiful shades of rich turquoise blue, emerald green, ruby red, blue and a pale yellow gold. They all have an aged appearance. On either side of the jewels, there is plain metallic trim, similar to a belt.However, I am not certain if this is what it originally was. There are no hooks or eyes. Very heavy and thick gold lace trim where gold wire was woven through to make the pattern. It's an old gold color with a hint of red. The flash pictures(2,4,5) lighten the color too much. On its orginal paper/cardboard card, it's in great condition, no breaks or stains or unraveling. Measures 1" wide by 204" or 5 2/3 yards.I try to find any defects but I can't guarentee I'll see them all. No returns unless item is not as described. Beautiful antique lace picture frame. All original. I think this pretty picture frame dates to the early 1920's era and most likely originates from France. This picture frame has soft pink silk covering and metallic lace. Beautiful silk ribbon work roses circle the frame. In excellent condition for its age- the inside pink silk has a slight wavy pattern but it really seems as if it was never used. It was found in a small plain white box that is marked Made in Austria- not sure if this was the original box or not but it seems to have been stored safely in this little box for decades. Two pieces of antique lace These two pieces measure around 17 inches in length. And 3 1/2 inches wide. One border is beautifully scalloped. And the other has two rows of oval'eyelets' plus a decorative finishing edge. There is a row of flowers embroidered firstly in creamy ecru. And then embroidered once again in a coppery metallic thread. Perhaps these pieces were intended to finish a sleeve- I think this lace was definitely designed to be seen. It is in very good. Probably unused condition.

Hand embroidered silk red poppies and foliage on a light cream watered silk damask background. It has metallic trim on two sides and moss green silk covered corners. Hand made. It has a pink silk back lining with a circle hanger. The piece is made on something that feels like thick cardboard. It does have give to it. Measures 15 3/4" x 10 1/4" 7/8" x 15 3/4" metallic trim, and the embroidered area 11 1/4" x 7" Displays beautifully with normal age/wear/patina. There is some shredding on green silk corner pieces. Top edge is folded over and stitched down in a few places. Both side edges are cut raw with one side stitched up as shown in photo#8. Some tuck work along the center top as shown in photo#7.
