A Farmhouse in France Vintage French Handmade lace curtains. Quality soft heavy white cotton. Pretty scalloped bottoms- perfect to frame a long window CONDITION: see photos below- generally good. 3 pairs antique lace curtains from french Chateau 4.6 yards long! rideaux de
A rare lot of 3 pairs of curtains of incredible length from a french Chateau. Probably Art Nouveau aera. Identical in pattern and condition they differ a little by the sizes. But not much. When I found these one year ago they where grey and stiff with dust and the temptation was great to have it all cleaned immediately. But I decided to give them the time they needed. One panel from time to time. Soaked in the bathtub(several times) without stirring or tumbling, using gentle old soap blocs(just to get rid of over 100 years of dust) This gave them a chance to show what they really were! As no bleach or strong detergent has been used the showed how they were the day they were hung to the windows: the muslin sewn on the net ground and embroidered with a TENDER YELLOW thread! Usuall y these Cornely embroidered curtains are white on white after ... morerepeat laundering. These have a happy sunny touch! The main problem is that having been all hand washe d separately. with different soaking times(according to my time available at the moment:o) they do not all have the same shade of ecru(see pictures. I have put the lightes t panel next to the darkest to make this evident) This leaves you the choice of the treatment you want to give them. According to the result you desire. The condition is good and strong(they ar not"dry" with some places where the muslin of the pattern has no t c o mpletely be en seized by the stitching and tries to escape. Asking for some sti tches. One pannel has some tiny holes along the anc ient center fold. But nothing dramatic. On the other 5 panels, a very tiny hole, here or th ere. see pictures) Please dont forget to ask for detailed pictures! These panels are betw een 4 1 2 cm(162" and 430 cm(169" high and between 1 12 cm(44" and 1 28(50" large! It is so rare to find that it would be a pity to cut them! I will not separate them either! ANTIQUE TAMOUR LACE CURTAINS - 120" LONG - 2 PANELS
Beautiful pair of antique lace curtains. Length measures 120" long. There are two panels. Each is 54" wide, for a total width of 108" Rare to find in such lovely condition. There is a 20" long self-valance. The valance is part of the curtain, doubled over at the top, with a rod pocket. The embroidery is heavy and ornate. There is no evidence of damage. I do see a few very small areas, where the netting was pulling away from the emroidery and was finely stitched. These few areas were barely visible and one can see where a few stitches were added for reinforcfement. Not bigger than 1/4" and not picked up by the camera. I have not laundered these. There are no stains, some slight yellowing from storage, around some of the edges. Again, nothing to deter from the beauty. They are a work of art. Offered are these gorgeous antique cream colored net lace Victorian curtains. There is one pair.two panels. 89" long. 54" wide. I have had them put away for many years. I thought they were perfect until I examined them. You can see in photos 4 and 5& remember this is a close-up.These curtains are so delicate with very fine threading. I'm sure for some handy person this would be no problem at all to fix, their just fine single threads. 1 panel the netting has come undone near top& another very small area toward opposite side top, There is a small repair slightly down from top middle. The other panel, the netting has come undone along the inside of the trim, also a spot 1/4 of the way down close to middle. Antique 1920's Curtains - 2 Panels - Lace-Like - Off- White
Two lace-like antique(I think from the 1920's) curtain panels. They're a soft 0ff-white and have a pocket at the top for curtain rids. One panel is in wonderful condition. The other panel has a few splits in it which. If they bother you, can easily be whip-stitched. I use similar antique curtains in my house(they all have splits in them) and you don't see the flaws after adjusting(fold, push and pinch) the fabric together. They measure about 33" wide by 30" long(depending on how tight you pull the fabric) Using these nice old treasures is a wonderful way to dress your window. adding a lot of charm and character.

Each panel measures approximately 44 inches wide by 78 inches long. Condition is used and rather shabby. Though recently laundered: nice and white. I note some holes and tears in the net lace, fraying at the edges, and many places where the applique needs stitching down(last photos for examples) The tops are rough-cut. There is heavy embellishment on bottom area, a scallop along the bottom edge, and a stitched finished border around three sides. The centered design allows these panels to be hung separately, or as a pair of curtains. PLEASE NOTE: One panel has had repairs done to the net. The first curtain has a small amount of wear on the edge of one side. And a couple tiny squares have thinning thread in the middle. The second curtain has five small areas down the edge of one side with wear, a couple breaks and loose threads, and a couple tiny squares have missing thread in the middle or thinning and breaking thread in the middle. This auction is for a matching SET of four(4) panels plus two(2) valances! Embroidered vines and scrollwork appear to be done in thick satin thread on an ivory colored soft fine mesh net lace that is probably cotton. Appliqued flowers and leaves are framed by exquisite cutwork. There are no tags so I do not know the country of origin though it is safe to say it is from eastern Europe. I acquired these curtains from a friend who collected vintage linens for more than 30 years. I am not an expert in linens so I have taken many photos for you. I took photos against a dark wood table as well as against a white sheet so that you can see the details of the netting and appliqué. ... moreThese curtains are in amazing condition considering their age! I do not see any obvious tears or pulls. They were stored flat in a bureau of a smoke-free pet-free home for a very. Very long time. I’m sure they will benefit from a gentle washing though I must say they smell just fine. There are some wrinkles that you may wish to steam out rather than press out. Each of the 4 panels measure approx. 26” wide x 80” long. Each of the 2 valances measure approx. 58” wide x 10-1/2” long. I listed these curtains in an auction last month but the buyer never paid. Pair of antique French polka dot on muslin curtains, lace edging
Antique 19th century fine muslin woven curtains with polka dot embroidery and bobin lace edging. Deep bobbin lace edging on one side and hem. About 1½" deep. Both curtains are about 71" wide and the top gathered on to braid about 29" wide. Approximately 125" long. Holes and repairs but once gathered and hanging they do not show very much. Some pulled threads in the lace. These are old and imperfect. There are holes and a couple of marks, 19th century. Freshly machine washed. 650g

DIVINE PAIR LONG ANTIQUE FRENCH CHATEAU CURTAINS c1800 HANDWORKED TULLE& LACE Please scroll down for more pictures. As my photographs show I have been struggling to photograph these wonderful chateau drapes in the breeze. It is a wonder they have not taken flight across the marsh! Dating from the 1880s this is a stunning pair of very long antique French chateau tulle and lace curtains. This is a genuine period pair of drapes in amazing condition for their age. The backing is strong tulle that is soft allowing the curtains to drape. Billow and fall beautifully. If tied back with ribbons or ormolu holders they would have the most romantic appeal. Each curtain has a decorative inner border with an inner corner flourish and bottom edge design that is all hand worked. The hand worked lace is intricate and stunning and is all worked in linen ... morethread. A triple flower lattice border runs down the inner edge of each drape. These borders are interspersed with round and diamond cartouches filled with lace designs of flowers and petals. Each bottom inner corner has a stunning flourish of lace work containing flower blooms with double layer petals with scrolls and curls. The three borders continue across the bottom edge too. The inner edge and base edges are trimmed with fine lace and the bottom edges have scalloped edges. I have not laundered these drapes and they will come up wonderful with a soak in a gentle stain remover or wool wash by hand. There are some pale brown marks from storage but they should remove. The top edge has a fine linen band to attach rings or clips. There are no holes and there are some small amazingly worked old darns that do not detract in any way and simply add to the authenticity of the drapes. Antique Wood Dollhouse Very Fragile! This listing is for a fabulous wood dollhouse in a smaller scale. Measures approximately 14' deep x 16" wide x 18" tall. It is VERY old and appears to be all original paint with no modern repairs. It has been in my collection for several years and I have decided to do some down-sizing. One glass window has fallen out and one lace curtain fell off a window. There are also several loose shingles and one chimney is loose. All loose parts are included for you to repair as you wish. You can see labels from several cigar boxes on the underside of the roof. My plan was always to build a separate interior to insert without interferring with the antique shell since there are no rooms inside. You could also just put a light inside and display it as-is. Antique 19thc. Lace Battenburg Chateau Style ( 10 ft. ) Curtains Panels 2
This is a PAIR of 19thc. Victorian Chateau style( more than 10 Feet long) REAL BATTENBURG Lace cutain panels. Each Panel is 49" wide. They need cleaning and mending. One panel has one area near side edge, and the other has two small areas that need mending. The lace however appears to be in excellent condition. The darker panel needs some work along the edge. The lace area measures 13.5" deep. The linen is a loose weave. These are antique curtains that were in storage a long time. The one panel has had a light rinse the other in it's original state. Offered is 6(six) panels. Of the same curtain design, all antique laced. Clean and all in very good condition, with very few minor defects noted below. All panels average a same length of approximately 43 inches. The widths per panel run from 26 inches to 32 inches, depending if side hem has been completed. All 6 panels are included in this lot, Lot 6 pieces. Below are specific details regarding each panel, and a photo of each panel can be found in my photos. The lace work on the lower or edge trim is amazing and all areas are like new. Including the exquisite flawless horizontal panels. I have found no flaws in either of these areas on any of the 6 panels. Flawless. Amazing. None of the 6 panels have a traditional pocket for a curtain rod but each have a small finished hem at their tops. With the lack of a'pocket' for a rod, it appears ... morethese curtains have never been used, or, I have seen this type of curtain hung in modern times with clip on type hooks at the tops and the rings are inserted into a spring rod. First panel is 34 inches wide by 42 inches long. There is a small brown spot on the netting marked with paper in the photo. One side hem is lacking. Second panel is 29 inches wide by 43 inches long. This panel has an original large side hem. There is one small hole in the netting. Third panel is 32 inches wide by 43 1/2 inches long. It is lacking one side hem.only issue I can see.
