This is an insertion lace, meaning that both ... moreedges of the lace are straight and it was meant to be butted up against another piece of fabric or lace. On the edge of the lace(either side) there are tiny threads that can be pulled, when done, this lace can be shaped into ovals, circles, a scalloped hemline or even gathered into a ruffle. This lace has a pretty and delicate pattern, it measures 1/2" wide. When I was ironing this lace, I had sprayed starch on it and when it was damp, it touched another piece of pink fabric. There several spots of pink on this lace. I counted 3 areas of light pink and I've taken a photo of it, so you can assess the damage for yourself. It might wash out, but it might not, that being said there is still plenty of good usable lace here, as there is a total of 11-5/8 un-cut YARDS.that's a lot of lace for your sewing and crafting needs. Over the years this lace has softened to a soft, light beige. This old lace is well over 100 years old and to find this much un-cut yardage is hard to come by. Be sure to view my other lace auctions. Antique Wicket Trout Fishing Creel Wicker Leather Trim
You are bidding on an very good condition antique wicker and leather trimmed trout fishing creel There are two straps. A olive canvas one that clips on, and also a fully functional leather strap. The green cloth strap has a drop of 20" the leather strap has a drop of 15" There is a part of a sticker on the bottom, it looks like it may have been made in Japan(the sticker one can makeout JA There is a nice 8 inch measuring tape in leather on the lid. There is a buckle closure and a hole in the top lid to put in the caught fish. Wonderful antique, great display piece for a fisherman or a sporting or fly fishing store or tour business. Good patina on the leather and wicker. There appears there was also a small handle on the back that was pulled off(see pics) and a small piece of the leather on the top of the lid hinge is slightly worn(see ... moresame pic) Age is estimated to be pre World War 2 due to the Japan sticket on the bottom.

Probably French. 4 pieces of what could have been an old lace collar. All together they measure 32 inches. They are 2 inches wide. No holes or other issues. 1 roll of antique peachy gold silk thread on wooden spool. Spool is 2 inches high. 1 Small roll of about 3 or 4 yards of tiny antique looped lace trim on another wooden spool. Size is 1 1/2 inch. 1 Wonderful old small straw doll hat. Perfect for ribbon work leaves! 1 Yard of ultra special antique green ribbon. This one has a gold picot edge. Slightly shimmery as well. Really fabulous. 1 pack of 35 antique green foiled back glass tiny doll buttons. 2 Bundles of antique soutache. Wonderful green and a soft white. Pretty sure these are 4 yard bundles. 1 Piece of wonderful antique lace. 35 inches long and is 5 1/2 inches wide. It is lined and is in excellent condition. I think this one is from France. Antique/vintage border. Trim, upholstery or costume supplies; cloth of gold Here is a lot with some very useful trim for use on upholstery or other craft projects. The first item is a length of cloth-of-gold fringe. Made of metal-wrapped cord. The fringe is about 2 ¼ inches deep and there is about are two piece of it, one 9 inches long and the other 8 inches long. There is also a piece of silky gimp that comprises a woven band with a looped fringe on one end. The width. Including the fringe, is about 1 ¼ inches and there are two pieces, one 62 inches long and the other 29 inches long. Next is a piece of wide gimp or upholstery trim woven with“dots” of velvet alternating with dots of knotted areas in a maroon color. This is previously used and has glue residue on the back. It is 1 ½ inches wide and 90 inches long. Also include ... moreis a reel of thread-like fringe in dark green and black. About 1 ¾ inches deep. We haven’t unrolled this one, so we don’t know how long it is, or if it is in one piece or several. We also did not unroll the next item in this lot: a reel of multiple pieces of trim made up of gathered. Sheer, ivory-colored cloth, about 1 inch wide. Next are two lengths of trim. Never before used, made up of a ruffle of stiff netting stitched to a cotton header. This is ¾ inches wide and one piece is 61 inches long and the other is 92 inches long. These come on their original paper reel, though it is a bit battered. As an added bonus. We are throwing in a length of ivory velvet welting, previously used and dingy, and also a length of brown loosely-woven welting.

The ornate soft paste jug is a beautiful lavender-blue and white and features two allegorical scenes on the side panels in relief. One scene depicts a woman holding a Caduceus. The staff carried by Hermes in Greek mythology, and a child sitting on her lap as two young children pull her carriage. The second scene depicts a woman in a carriage being pulled by two dogs as a putto with baskets of flowers hovers above her. A simple border that terminates in a shell form, surrounds both of the scenes. The front of the jug depicts a tree. There pitcher is accented with brilliant gilt trim and decoration throughout and the front of the pitcher has a decorative gilt monogram on the front. The jug is unsigned ... moreand unmarked. There is a bit of faint gilt loss, particularly on the rim, lip of the spout and on the acanthus leaf handle. There is a tight ¼” hairline on the interior where the handle meets the body and another 1” tight hairline on the bottom rim. The hairline does not go into the interior or prevent water storage. I buy vintage linens at local estate auctions to pass them along to you. Recently I've found some amazing items that are very old. This is one of three great antique duvet covers that I have found. This is made of white cotton percale. And it is made for a double(full) bed, measuring 90" long by 86" wide, so it is about big enough for a queen-sized bed too. This is a pocket-style, with two layers of fabric that a duvet or feather bed would fit inside of. It has a metal zipper closure at the bottom. The top layer is decorated with great bands of white filet lace with a snowflake pattern, about 2 1/2" wide. The filet lace forms circular patterns around a central diamond shape of lace, and the great thing is that the filet lace is treated as insertion lace with no backing, so that you can see through it, as I try to show in ... morethe closeup photos. There is a straight line of the filet lace going up each long side that starts 19 1/2" in from the side edge, and the center has the multiple circular patterns. It's hard to show the detail in a white-on-white pattern in the photos, which were taken with the duvet cover on a double bed. Please look closely at the photos, because this is just beautifully made. I have laundered and pressed this and found the fabric to be in excellent condition. I believe that was one of the first times it was ever washed. The fabric is very crisp and springy and fine and heavy. It weighs over three pounds. The metal zipper works perfectly. It's in remarkable condition for its age. With two defects: at the top edge there is a small spot that is located 7 1/2" from the top and 11 1/2" from the side edge. There is also a faint spot at the other side of the top edge 14 1/2" in from the side and 23" from the top. Both of these spots are shown in the last two closeup photos. This is a confection of gorgeous antique lace in a deep ecru color. All matching; it is edged on all four sides with a hand crochet lace which is 1" wide with a scalloped edge, then there are four 35" long by 1" wide inserts of matching lace down the panel. That is 290 inches of lace(over 8 yards) On four corners are lace inserts with a figural child that are 5 x 5" in size. Then there are appliques on both ends with three Point de Gaze lace pieces, this has a raised stitched cording hand stitched on top, very thick and three dimensional. All the lace is hand stitched to the material, ... moreso it could be removed without damage, and all the lace is in excellent condition with no damage, it is all cotton. The fabric is a soft light grey with a touch of green, this is an old blend, looks to me like a rayon, silk and maybe nylon. The fabric is sturdy and clean, there is some small areas of damage; there is a small tear off center and some small holes on the sides, just a small dark speck no other stains. It could easily be appliqued if you wanted to use this as is, or the lace removed and still have a lot of use-able fabric. Overall a lovely piece, the lace is fabulous! Please view all photos. 2 lb Lace lot Antique Vintage Trim Fragments Scrap Yardage Net Craft Sewing Doll For sale is this wonderful antique and vintage lot of laces mostly from an Estate sale where she collected for years to recreate period dolls.There seems to be a large varity of styles and types as well as color and age.With the box this lot weighs almost 2 lbs.Most of it was stored lovingly in individual bags I did not want to remove all of them but she kept her things very neatly and orderly.Being sold as is but it is a nice collection to use or study or collect. Antique Foot Stool with original fabric & trim
Up for auction is an antique footstool. The fabric is worn. The stool measures approx. 9" wide x 13" long 7"high. We are cleaning out our 100+ year old home that was built by my grandfather in the late 1800's. The home has been in the family since built and has 5 generations of"stuff" stored here.
