MATERIAL AND TRIMS For auction is a wonderful lot of old doll dresser items. There is 1 strand of antique rococo work. 14 inches. It is pink and green and has gold ribbon work on the back. Probably French. 4 pieces of what could have been an old lace collar. All together they measure 32 inches. They are 2 inches wide. No holes or other issues. 1 roll of antique peachy gold silk thread on wooden spool. Spool is 2 inches high. 1 Small roll of about 3 or 4 yards of tiny antique looped lace trim on another wooden spool. Size is 1 1/2 inch. 1 Wonderful old small straw doll hat. It has old lilly of the valley millinery flowers on it. Lovely green rayon ribbon bow for tying. 2 Very large pieces ... moreof antique silk shades of green material. Sizes are 44 inches by 38 inches and 44 inches by 40 inches. Colors are mossy greens. Subtle and gorgeous! Excellent condition. Camera just cant pick up the wonderful colors. 2 Wonderful antique ribbons. The antique French ombre picot ribbon is very old and in 4 pieces. This ribbon is 1/8 inches wide. Perfect for ribbon work leaves! 1 Yard of ultra special antique green ribbon. This one has a gold picot edge. Slightly shimmery as well. Really fabulous. 1 pack of 35 antique green foiled back glass tiny doll buttons. 2 Bundles of antique soutache. Wonderful green and a soft white. Pretty sure these are 4 yard bundles. 1 Piece of wonderful antique lace. 35 inches long and is 5 1/2 inches wide. It is lined and is in excellent condition. I think this one is from France. Second piece of lace is beautiful as well. This one had wonderful dots and flowers on it. This looks French as well. Size is 17 x 8 1/2 inches. This one could use a light soak. No rips. There is 9 1/2 yds. 1 1/4" wide, 5 yards plus 30" 3/4" wide, 2 yards plus 12" 1 3/4" wide, 11 yards, 3/4" wide, 14 yards,1" wide, 6 yards plus 32" 1" wide, 4 yards plus 21" 1 1/4"wide, 12 yards, 3/4" wide. This trim came from an old trunk. It has not been cleaned and because it has been stored for many years some pieces may have minor staining which can be removed with knowlegable cleaning. Here we have a wonderful old lace trim piece from days gone by that measures 46 inches long and 3 7/8 inches wide. I buy vintage linens at local estate auctions to pass them along to you. Recently I've found some amazing items that are very old. This is one of three great antique duvet covers that I have found. This is made of white cotton percale. And it is made for a double(full) bed, measuring 90" long by 86" wide, so it is about big enough for a queen-sized bed too. This is a pocket-style, with two layers of fabric that a duvet or feather bed would fit inside of. It has a metal zipper closure at the bottom. The top layer is decorated with great bands of white filet lace with a snowflake pattern, about 2 1/2" wide. The filet lace forms circular patterns around a central diamond shape of lace, and the great thing is that the filet lace is treated as insertion lace with no backing, so that you can see through it, as I try to show in ... morethe closeup photos. There is a straight line of the filet lace going up each long side that starts 19 1/2" in from the side edge, and the center has the multiple circular patterns. It's hard to show the detail in a white-on-white pattern in the photos, which were taken with the duvet cover on a double bed. Please look closely at the photos, because this is just beautifully made. I have laundered and pressed this and found the fabric to be in excellent condition. I believe that was one of the first times it was ever washed. The fabric is very crisp and springy and fine and heavy. It weighs over three pounds. The metal zipper works perfectly. It's in remarkable condition for its age. With two defects: at the top edge there is a small spot that is located 7 1/2" from the top and 11 1/2" from the side edge. There is also a faint spot at the other side of the top edge 14 1/2" in from the side and 23" from the top. Both of these spots are shown in the last two closeup photos. From an Estate with lots of old Textiles. We have another Victorian Antique Lace Petticoat, this one has a little top with it. We have several lace petticoats from an old Victorian trunk we will be Listing so keep checking back. There is some wonderful flounce on these petti's with pintucking. Pleats, ruffles, crochet, and an array of laces. Some of them half an extra cotton ruffled flounce under them, we will mention those that do, these pieces can also be used. Some have stains and holes, we will mention those that do. This bunch looks to have been laundered, so we don't know if the stains that are left are removable. Lots of lace/cotton flounce that could be used for dolls or other Period Projects. Displayed, or even Worn! Some type of white work. Costumer, collector, or historical re-enactment hobbyist would find intriguing and a source of inspiration. It contained many examples of fine Victorian hand made Italian. French, Irish and English lace and includes several rarities. Offered here is an extraordinarily fine example of Victorian Carrickmacross lace. Lace and fabric are an antique ivory color and circa 1880. Carrickmacross lace is an applique/cut work type of lace made from cambric or fine muslin which is embroidered to netting and cut away in places to form a shadow effect. The cut work is sometimes combined with filling stitches to give an even greater detail. This example was probably intended as a dress bodice and the design is filled wit ... moreribbons. This is a confection of gorgeous antique lace in a deep ecru color. All matching; it is edged on all four sides with a hand crochet lace which is 1" wide with a scalloped edge, then there are four 35" long by 1" wide inserts of matching lace down the panel. That is 290 inches of lace(over 8 yards) On four corners are lace inserts with a figural child that are 5 x 5" in size. Then there are appliques on both ends with three Point de Gaze lace pieces, this has a raised stitched cording hand stitched on top, very thick and three dimensional. All the lace is hand stitched to the material, ... moreso it could be removed without damage, and all the lace is in excellent condition with no damage, it is all cotton. The fabric is a soft light grey with a touch of green, this is an old blend, looks to me like a rayon, silk and maybe nylon. The fabric is sturdy and clean, there is some small areas of damage; there is a small tear off center and some small holes on the sides, just a small dark speck no other stains. It could easily be appliqued if you wanted to use this as is, or the lace removed and still have a lot of use-able fabric. Overall a lovely piece, the lace is fabulous! Please view all photos. Late Victorian Edwardian Bed Sheet Pineapple Crochet Trim From a late Edwardian- 1920's estate. A lovely vintage bed sheet with handmade crochet lace edging in the pineapple pattern. The sheeting is a nice quality cotton fabric, possibly even being metis. It is home sewn, nicely made, on a treadle machine. Overall size is 82" wide x 105" long. The crochet edging is attached to one end of the bed sheet as well as along the two sides extending 30" to form the sheet return. The crochet edging, itself, measures 5" wide. Condition: It has been laundered sometime, although not recently. I did notice a small faint spot of oxidation on the tip of one of the pineapples as well as a small spot on the sheeting fabric, itself. More than likely, in another washing, the marks could be removed. If you notice in the 2nd photo a small ... morepink dot embedded in the sewing line. This mark most likely will not launder out. A beautiful length of antique French lace. Exquisitely hand worked in tiny crochet. In a delightful off set scalloped design, this precious piece was lovingly rescued for re use many years ago.when make do and mend was as necessary as it is fashionable today. The lace measures 142cm long and is 6 cm deep and is. On the whole, in lovely vintage undamaged condition. with just the top edge having broken stitches from where it was cut from its former home. I have found, on very close inspection, a mend in the lace towards one end but it has been so finely done it is very very difficult to see. A truly pretty and authentique piece for use as trim or shelf edging in traditional French style.
