Hello and thank you for checking out my auction. Here we have a lovely set of 12 antique lace cotton/linen and crocheted doilies. Beautifully hand crafted. These doilies each measure approx 5.5 inches across and feature flower and petal motifs that radiate from a central hexagonal panel of what I think is a fine-grade cotton or linen(please see photos) Considering their age. Condition is very good- excellent, with very little loss or breakage. However it must be noted that a few do have a little discoloration in places. But on the whole, they are very smart and presentable, as shown. These are antique. Handmade pieces and although I'm unsure of their exact date of creation, they must surely be Victorian or Edwardian at the latest( Antique textiles are not my area of specialism. I am listing a few batches of old hand made crochet doilies today. Most in this group of 40 or so are all pinks and greens for the most part. Perfect for displaying with your vintage Easter and spring decorations. All of these were from my antique store. When I closed my shop a few years ago. I just couldn't bring myself to sell these at that time. They are all so pretty and sweet. They are all clean and in really good condition, they are just wrinkled from storage. Here are three Princesse lace doilies that are quite old and are showing their age. But are still too lovely to just throw away! The size and condition are as follows: 1- 10" x 12" with 6 tiny breaks in the net 1- 10" x 12" with 1 less than eraser size hole. 4 small holes or breaks, discoloration 1- 8" x 14" with 2 less than eraser size holes. 6 very small breaks in the net, discoloration Even with these flaws. They still show nicely or could be used for crafts. They need a careful soak in Biz. I tried to capture the holes in photos but without much success. This type of lace is getting harder to find! pair of vintage lace doilies 13x9.75" cream w blush pink - lovely lace!
I buy vintage linens and other goodies at local estate auctions. Right now I am overloaded with lovely linens. So I am listing them at bargain prices for quality items! These are so pretty: two vintage lace doilies. They are rectangular in shape. Measuring 13" long by 9 3/4" wide, and they are made of a delicate net lace with a floral pattern. They have reinforcing threads in a blush pink color, which give the lace such a delicate, feminine look. They have a center medallion design with a wreath of roses around it- please use the zoom function to see the details of this lace. I have laundered and pressed these and found the fabric to be sound. There are some loose threads around the edges. But it is not the lace unraveling, just a few loose threads that could be trimmed away. The only major problem is that one doily has a dark area ... moreat one corner, as shown in the last photo. It is pretty much hidden by the lace pattern, but you need to know about it. This will probably continue to fade as they are laundered. I am storing these in my smoke-free home. But I do have a cat who sheds copiously, so be aware if you have allergies. Please contact me for more information or photos. Vintage lot of crochet doilies. Sizes vary from 12 inches to 4 inches. Three crochet doilies are identical. They are light beige in color. Size is 7 in diameter. The large white one has one loose thread at the very end. It measures 12 in diameter. The white star is 9 in diameter. It has a small stain. The two green and the one multicolor doily measure 6 in diameter. The loose filigree doily. Possibly tatted, is 10 in diameter. It has a loose thread and a stain. The round doily with slightly scalloped edge measures 9 in diameter and has a small stain. The oblong. Net like/wirey doily measures 16 x9. The large one is beige in color and measures 14 x 10.
