This is an old fan quilt that is very light-weight and needs to be repaired. It has a nice yellow border around the edge. It measures 63 x 74. This is in a stack of old quilts. Vintage Double Wedding Ring Quilt finely Hand Quilty Shabby Condition Cutter
This quilt has seen better days. It is fraying around the edges and there are some large stains which may or may not come out. I have not tried any stain removal and will leave that up to the buyer. Cutter Quilt Piece- Lg - Dresden Plate Very Nice
Hello. This is a piece cut from an antique quilt in the Dresden Plate pattern. This piece measures appx. 26" X 27" and has 1 full plate in very,very nice condition and has a cone edge on 2 sides. The one edge has some light- med. wear, and the other is in nice condition. The only flaw in this piece is a small dark mark, which I have shown in the pictures. This piece is clean and ready to craft with and was hand quilted with a cotton batting. This would make a wonderful pillow top or small wall hanging or cut up for smaller projects. 2 SIDED Antique STAR & Patchwork Quilt BLOCK - Cutter Piece PC - 29 X 32" -
This lovely old quilt piece was cut from a quilt with some damaged areas. The quilt had a piece on the back that was just stitched on at the edges. When I opened it I found a very old quilt in side. It is a tied quilt. The star area was hand quilted just through the top layer of the back of the older quilt. The older quilt has very early tiny blue prints in it. Both were pieced by machine. It is in good condition except for splits in one block on the older side. It is clean, odor free and 29 by 32 inches. I am now listing many antique quilt and coverlet pieces and I am always happy to combine shipping.

Lushly quilted Indigo Blue & White FEATHERED STAR CUTTER antique quilt 8-9spi
Miss the old version of this page? everything on one long page. vfsce. Hat a beautifully made quilt this Feathered Star was. Alas. Its red print must have had a black or brown element that neatly disintegrated away over time, leaving heavily weakened fabric and exposing the batting so that it pilled and clumped where unprotected. Some 18 beautifully quilted open white blocks remain and there's still a strangely strong graphic appeal to the intact quilt as-is. so maybe you have the perfect next stage for its checkered life? I would imagine this dates to the last quarter of the 1800's. Size The quilt measures about 72 x 74 inches. The blocks are about 12 inches square and the tiny half-square triangles are only 3/4-inch square. Quilting The hand-quilting is lovely. With 8-9 little stitches to the inch. Counting on the top side of the ... morequilt only. Construction The blocks are tightly hand-pieced and I think the long seams are by hand as well. Backing. Binding& Batting The white backing is clean and bright but has about 8 blocks where damage on the front shows through as clusters of small through-holes on the reverse. The sweet little hand-applied indigo binding along two sides gives way to a machine-applied black gingham along the other two. But both bindings are heavily worn and frayed along the edges. Please note that some of the binding appears missing in the overall picture. But that's just my sloppy editing. It's there all the way around. The batting is super thin and even. Though I do find some flat spots and of course there are losses in the centers of the blocks where fabric has worn away. Condition The quilt's condition is strong and clean. But clearly very compromised thanks to that red wearing away and the resulting damage to batting. Although there's heavy wear and through-holes in the star blocks, I find very little damage to the beautifully quilted open white blocks. I only detect minor surface wear, snagging etc. on four of them. I note some minor staining which is pictured.

Top has been stitched to paper ~ both old newspapers and what appears to be brown paper bags. Quilt top has several issues. stitching coming apart in mulitple areas. Some holes/ tears, missing edging and some spots. This is a wonderful piece for someone who treasures the time that went into it many. Many years ago, and someone who loves challenges! Although fabrics appear pretty strong, I consider this top to be quite fragile overall. Each square- not including the red edging- measures approximately 10-1/2" square. antique child baby cutter quilt feed sack vintage fabrics -- cute!!
This is a darling antique 9-patch baby or child's quilt. It appears to have been machine-quilted. Although the quilt is clearly old and made from vintage fabrics. I tried to take some up-close photos of the quilting so the stitching is more visible. The binding appears to be hand-sewed. The front and back are both made from old feed sacks. This would make a great cutter quilt with its great baby colors and vintage fabrics. I had someone knowledgeable look at it and she believed that it does look hand-pieced. If you are curious about this. I would be glad to take additional photos. There are some minor condition issues. The most significant is an area shown in the second photo. Which has a combination of rust stains and tiny holes. Then I found a small tear, shown in the third photo, and then a section that looks scraped where some of ... morethe stitching has been severed and there are some tiny holes, shown in the fourth photo. The fifth and sixth photos show the backing. The backing does not appear to have any holes, but it does have some yellow discolorations, as the photo shows. I have not tried washing this quilt and those discolorations might be removable. There is a tiny strip of fading down the middle of the quilt and a few small areas where the stitching is coming loose. The remainder of the photos show some up-close detail of the fabrics and stitching. One of the photos shows some of the fading down the middle. The size of the quilt is 40 1/4" wide and 47 1/2" long. Vintage Nine Patch quilt. 66" x 81" in size. Hand quilted and hand pieced. The front has nine patch blocks in prints and solids. They are surrounded by sashings and posts in different colors. The backside is light blue and folds over to the front to make the binding. The backside has a torn place by one edge as the picture shows and a few other small tears. The batting is lumpy some here and there but the quilt lays good and flat. The front is knit fabric. The back is cotton. Bright and colorful.

VINTAGE CUTTER?? QUILT, GREAT PATCHES, 72 X 48
Up for sale is this what I would use for a cutter. It has some excellent vintage blocks. The monkeys, chickens and bears and more. This has been all stitched with a zig zag stitch. It has four of the blocks that have tears, they are all on the side edges. This is good enough to make a baby quilt or use the squares on another quilt The quilt is 72 x 48. Most patches consist of two blocks as this can be used on either side. Some of the patches will need to be restitched if not used as a cutter. Vintage Amish Handmade LONE STAR Quilt ~ 88" x 91" ~Folder ~Cutter?
Vintage Amish Handmade Lone Star Quilt Cutter- Folder ~ Front Porch Worthy! If you like the shabby- country look. this quilt may be for you! We have a soft antique LONE STAR QUILT purchased years ago from an Amish estate sale. This striking quilt does show some signs of wear and a bit of deterioration. So we are classifying it as a cutter or folder quilt. There are no holes or missing fabric; but it's not perfect. It is hand-quilted and machine stitched around the quilt perimiter and boats a nice combination of old fabrics which are probably from the 1930's- 40's. The batting is thin and there is outling quilting and straight line quilting throughout the quilt at about 7 stitches per inch. It measures about 88" x 91" The edges of this binding are frayed in places. But could easily be replaced if this is of concern to ... moreyou. There is also a section along the edge where some of the cross-hatch stitching has deteriorated a bit. In addition, there is some yellowing of the creamy white fabric, but a nice bath should brighten this quilt right up. I've taken LOTS of photos. please ENJOY and bid accordingly. I've used this quilt as a display piece; however. It would also look nice folded at the end of the bed- or a cutter if you so choose. Vintage Handmade Four Star Quilt Cutter Crafts 86x68
Up for auction is a vintage hand stitched quilt that measures a large 86" x 68" The four colorful stars are made of red. Orange and beige cotton pieces. I have shown in the pictures that the beige fabric is the part of the quilt that is torn. You can also see that the edge of the quilt have major wear. The overall background is white(off white) and the back of the quilt is also a white(off white) cotton fabric which is good condition. There are one or two small spots on the front. In green floral fabric as well as stripes in very pal shades of tan& blue. Each dresden plate square is 13.5" x 13.5" The most damage is along the bottom and left side(see photos) as well as a few other small ones. There are 12 motifs that can be used for pillows or any other repurpose.easily cut from this quilt because it is divided into perfect squares. The designs are all hand-appliqued- lots and lots of work! And there is quite a bit of quilting. But if that's not enough. Three very pretty pillows made from a beautiful antique quilt. The hand stitches on this quilt are very nice. I think you can see that in the photos. However. Too many worn spots mean the quilt can't be used. So I've made these pretty pillows to be used as decorations-on your bed or chair, or in a basket. Maybe in a baby's room? Each pillow is about 5" by 5" I take the extra time to box the corners, to give the pillow a nice finished shape. The pillows are stuffed with new fiberfill. Cutter Quilt Piece - Grandma's Flower Garden - Lot of 2
Hello! This is a lot of 2 pieces cut from an old quilt in the" Grandma's Flower garden" pattern. These pieces are very thin and easy to cut/ craft with. The larger piece is an odd cut measuring appx. 21" X 22 1/2" and the smaller one is appx.9 1/2" X 11 1/2" The large piece is done in tomato red. Oranges and yellow and the small one is pink. Eco Friendly Heart Shaped Coasters Mug Mats Set of 4 Vintage Cutter Quilt
Be sure to add me to your! I love to combine shipping! Super stylish. And eco friendly! Stop using paper and save your money and the earth! I just cannot bear to part with even a tiny piece of a vintage item especially from a quilt that some long ago grandmother spent hours upon hours creating. I found a lovely double wedding ring cutter quilt several years ago and made many pillows from the best parts. Some of the areas were in just too bad condition for pillows but had smaller good parts left. I decided to cut heart shapes from those pieces and make coasters. This set of four coasters are doubled with pieces from the same quilt on both the fronts and backs making them reversible. These coasters measure about 5 1/2" wide. After I sewed all around I then scalloped the outsides for a decorative touch. There are four layers of fabric plus ... moretwo layers of thick cotton batting for absorbency. These coasters may be laundered(preferably by hand) and laid flat to dry. Touch up with steam iron if needed. Wouldn't these make a wonderful hostess gift for the next luncheon? Bottom line. The best part of these lovely coasters is that they are not taking up precious room at the landfill. Design may vary slightly from coaster to coaster due to pattern placement. Check out my other items! Note: My home is smoke free. Most of the items I sell are pre-owned. Be aware that it may have once lived in a smoking or pet friendly environment. I never really know where things have been before I obtain them. If this is a possiblility that you cannot live with. Then perhaps it is not the item for you. I will always describe the condition of the item to the best of my ability, highlighting any particular marks, damage etc. but I'm not perfect, and may occasionally miss something. Vintage Star Quilt - hand pieced, quilted - Cutter - repurpose or use in stack
This is an old quilt measuring 68" wide by 80" long. It contains 20 hand pieced stars. All using plain fabrics, and each star measuring 14 1/2" point to point and then appliqued(can't tell if it is machine applique or very fine handwork) onto a white muslin square measuring 15 X 15" Each square is divided by a 2" wide strip of pink fabric and they have used red squares at the corners. It has survived many launderings, and served its purpose well and long and is ready for a new life. Of the 20 star squares. 14 are in good shape with no wear to the fabric- the six squares in which they used the yellow fabric are all worn thru on that yellow fabric.it didn't hold up well. They still, however, would make great shabby appliques onto a pillow etc. You can see this wear to the yellow in the pictures. I see 3 tiny ... morespots which will probably come out, and there are two holes- one on each side close to the edge. There is a cut about 4" through the border on the foot end and a smaller similar tear or cut close to the corner(abt 2" on the pillow end. There is also some light staining but it is not very visible.one or two. All that being said. It would display well in a stack of vintage quilts, would repurpose into some great pillows etc OR put a little repair into on the binding and edge and use in your lake cottages. I detect no odors. This very old cutter butterfly appliqué quilt measures 74” by 60” It was a spur of the moment buy for me and I have never used it. The appliquéd butterflies come from old feed sacks and some butterflies are missing some of the black blanket border stitching. The batting is thin in several places. There are two stains and a small tear on the yellow back side. The edges are also frayed but it still is a lovely old quilt. Just right for a seaside cottage or a mountain cabin.
