Rare Antique French Ribbon Lace Net Embroidered Appliqué
This rare antique French appliqué is a masterfull creation of the embroiderers' art. It is a small 3& 3/4 by 5 inches in a palette of ivory.Cream and cafe latte. Center of applique is embroidered with raised cotton ribbon flowers and silky threads on a delicate cotton net. With motifs of flowers and leaves outlined in delicate black stitches. The appliqué is completely hand embroidered and outlined with embroidered satin stitch with gold metal thread detail. This appliqué would make a superb headpiece for edwardian/1920's costume if ribbon was added. Excellent unused antique condition.

The main condition issues I see are along the seams where they have some separation and some pinholes along the drops. I have tried to show these areas as accurately as possible. I believe these could be easily repaired. It does have one small stain along the bottom. I did hand wash this once when purchased, but did not try to spot treat the stain. Antique Victorian unused cream net & Valenciennes lace veil
You are buying an antique cream unused net lace veil with Valenciennes lace trim to the frill that is attached to three sides. Where the lace is attached to the net is also a run of pale blue satin narrow ribbon threaded through. At the top edge(no lace) the net has been turned to form a channel and a drawstring threaded through. This could be a curtain but as it was bought at auction along with a petticoat or skirt flounce with identical lace trim I wondered if it may have been a veil. It measures 81" wide by 65" long. Shown in the photos on a size UK 10 mannequin to give you an idea of how it would look. Not washed and would benefit from washing- it is currently cream but could become paler after a hand wash. Vintage Antique Battenburg Lace Bedspread in a larger size of 95 inches wide x 120 inches long(241 cm) x(304.8 cm) This is a really nice and elegant design with a large center diamond of Battenburg lace with tapes forming ladderwork and edging the bottom of the spread. This is shown on a twin and it's too large for it. So full/ queen size should work for this, harder to find them in that size. In overall good condition with minor issues. As you can see from the pictures it displays well. There is a small light pink spot near the pillow return, I've not tried to treat it and it appears faint enough that it would come out. There are a couple net separations at the seams and a few small net flaws, again nothing major, no big holes or tears. Which is 5x56" It is sewn together in a circle, and was possibly either meant to be used on the hem of a dress or slip, or was used in that manner. It's in very good condition, and I cannot detect pulls, where it may have been joined to a dress hem. It is a light creamy white, and is very soft, and feels like springy cotton, almost like a jersey thread. It has an all over Valenciennes look and styling. Scalloped, with a tiny lace trim, worked along with the main piece, but made to look added on. The motif includes shamrocks, and roses or clover blossoms. In ... morevery good, clean condition. It measures approximately 22" inner collar. 30" all around bottom edge. It is about 3.5" measured at midpoint at its widest width.
