Description-The mahogany is so beautiful that you can see the reflection of everything around it. It's in such immaculate shape that not only does ... morethe wood have a nice shine to it. But the original color of the tread are still on the tires. Along with that are fully rounded wheels for easier pushing along the floors. Now I've done plenty of research to know that you won't find another tea wagon cart as nearly flawless as this anywhere on Ebay. If you don't believe me then do the research and find out for yourself. Anyways, please make sure to view each and every picture very carefully before making a bid. If you have any questions or concerns about this item please feel free to LMK, and I'll answer them to the best of my knowledge. TY& Bidding. P.S. BTW shipping it via freight is never out of the option. That of course is if you're willing to pay the hefty price.

American Chippendale Period Mahogany Pie Crust Tea Table, poss. Southern States
American Chippendale Mahogany Pie Crust Table. Possibly Southern States Last quarter of the 18th Century. Hairy Paw Ball and Claw Feet Item# 130101RQY27 This is an American Chippendale Period Mahogany Pie Crust Birdcage Tea Table. Crafted during the last quarter of the 18th Century. Possibly in the Southern States. The bold turned baluster relates to many forms seen along coastal North Carolina. Though it is a difficult piece to attribute with any certainty as similar works are also found in Philadelphia. More research would be necessary to attribute the piece with any authority. A very handsome work. The top is crafted from a single board of mahogany, a broad piece measuring an immense 37 1/16" x 36 3/8" It's sharp and well formed rim is carved of the solid, and from all appearances seems to have been sunk by hand rather than ... moreby turning, the craftsman planing this board until the outer inches of the rim remained upraised. These would then be carved and chiseled until they took on the form you now see. This is a highly labor intensive process and is more generally seen from shops with lower volume of production. We believe this table was probably in rough shape at one point in it's not so distant past. A condition that required the restorer to take apart the birdcage(note the alterations to the birdcage) remove the old rails and replace them and restore the cracking and loss around the base where the legs join the pedestal. As a result, it is difficult to be certain that the top truly is original to the table, though we do believe it is after closely examining it. The slideshow has many close up pictures that will allow you to determine that for yourself. The birdcage mechanism allows the table to swing freely. A small wedge-tenon sliding into the crevice in the top of the pedestal to lock the entire device in place. The pedestal is bold with a wonderful swollen baluster over the tri-form legs, these joining directly into the base in broad dovetail joints from the underside, locked in place with

FEDERAL PERIOD FLAME BIRCH & MAHOGANY BIRD CAGE TIP TOP TEA TABLE ON SPIDER LEGS
POWERFUL FLAME BIRCH& MAHOGANY SPIDER LEG BIRD CAGE TIP TOP TEA TABLE PORTSMOUTH. NEW HAMPSHIRE-LATE 18th CENTURY With our compliments we are delighted to offer you this bold flame birch and mahogany rare spider leg bird cage tip top tea table Portsmouth. New Hampshire circa 1790's. We first need to apologize for photographs. We like to use natural sunlight in our photo process but this time of year we are findly it difficult to get sun exposure that isn't too harsh. We presently have a new photography area and inventory storage system being constructed and our shop is in disarray during the construction. We are backloged with wonderful New England estate treasures and have little choice than to start posting now and amend our photographs as quickly as possible. We are shooting pieces coming right off the trucks without cleaning, ... morepolishing, waxing and tweaking them as they should be. We do promise to properly detail every piece prior to leaving our shop. We should have the construction completed in the next week. Meanwhile the buying and selling has to continue. This stunning flame birch& mahogany bird cage tip top tea table has its original period crab lock, reeded profiles on the spider legs, wonderfully turned center pedestal and in a very good original finish that is in desperate need of a waxing and buffing. There is a typical very old and stable seasoning split on its lower base that we will be addressing along with its detailing this week. The top shows a few very small finish blemishes(it is an untouched 200 plus year old finish) that will be covered in as soon as we apply the tinted wax and buff it out. This tea table has a 27" top, is 44 1/2" tall locked back and 29" tall with the top locked down. One of the best flame birch pieces we have turned up in quite a while now. American New England Carved Cherry Tilt Candle Stand Candlestand Side Tea Table
American New England Carved Cherry Candlestand Side Table c. 1790-1810 Incredible carved pedestal with a"la croix pattée" repeating motif Sweeping legs with raised acanthus carvings over ball feet Item# 120011EWQ24 This is a remarkable candle stand table. Crafted in the New England states of early America, probably during the last years of the 18th Century, possibly as late as 1810. The shapely rectangular form top is rounded and notched at each corner, giving it a stilted flow that aligns with the overall appeal of the table. Rotating smoothly on a doweled mechanism, the table tilts from a fully functional tea table or side table to be a space conscious presentation piece, revealing the full beauty of the solid plank cherry top while bringing visual interest to a corner of the room. The pedestal is an absolute work of art. ... moreA practice in patience from a very steady and skilled hand. It is crafted with long flawless rows of a repeating" la croix pattée" motif. Carved deeply and perfectly along the length of the turned shaft. The Cross pattée, also referred to as the cross formée, literally translated from the French"la croix pattée" as"The Footed Cross" is primarily associated as a Christian symbol. Sometimes used by military organizations in Christian Nations, commonly associated with the Crusades and royalty of Britain, the symbol evokes the idea of a noble ideal. This is topped and footed by tight swirls of ring turnings. The legs have a wonderful swooping motion. Flowing smoothly from the base into ball turned little wooden feet, each fully original. Along the top of the entire leg is a smooth raised acanthus form carving. Each leg is locked into the pedestal using a hand forged tri-bracket with many original nails, all three joining together where the pedestal rounds with deep fluting. This is a stunning and quite unique table. Probably crafted by an artisan of low volume for a more rural market. The"mistake" of the top could suggest t

Rare Late 18th Century Georgian Chippendale Octofoil Tilt Top Birdcage Tea Table
Click for a slideshow of detailed pictures! Rare Georgian Chippendale Mahogany Tilting Tea Table England. Late 18th Century Octofoil top carved with fruit& foliage over fluted pedestal. Cabriole legs with acanthus carved knees terminating in ball and claw feet. Item# 120109PTE08 This is a rather rare form. Carved in the manner of Frederick Hintz tables, though absent of any brass inlay noteworthy in his works. The top is octofoil in form, featuring eight shallow dish spaces circling a large central dish space. A table of this form would typically be used as a dinner table, not for tea due to the oversized nature of the dished valleys in the top. Formed from a single piece of mahogany, crafting something of this nature was exceedingly difficult and likewise exceedingly expensive in the 18th Century. A work of this nature would be found ... moreonly in the finest London homes. Evidence of how it was formed is still visible in the piece, as you carefully look at the centermost point of each circular form- note the scar where the craftsman anchored his lathe to shave the perfect circle with raised molding. Each dish space is flanked by fruit carvings, each unique and different from the next- note the incredible crispness of each fruit, the attention to even the smallest details leaving identification of each fruit relatively easy: cherries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, and plums. The table twists freely a full three-hundred and sixty degrees on the birdcage mechanism. Formed of four columns that through-taper the top and bottom, between which the shaft of the pillar comes through and is locked on with an angular through-wedge. This wedge is easily removed, allowing the entire top to lift off of the pedestal. The pedestal shaft is turned and tapers broader towards the bottom, deep stop-fluting around the entire shaft. Three cabriole legs dovetail into the center of the pedestal, exposed from beneath and actually formed such that no three-way bracket was necessary to lock the legs permanently in place. The kn

American Queen Anne Serpentine Top Tilting Antique Tea Table, Late 18th Century
Fine American Queen Anne Serpentine Top Tilting Tea Table In the manner of Joseph Short(1771-1819) Probably North Shore. Massachusetts- possibly Connecticut Item# 130006RUP13 Possibly by Joseph Short(1771-1819) of Newburyport. MA or a contemporary during the same period, this fine American Queen Anne Tilting Top Tea Table is an unusually attractive specimen. The top is an incredibly broad single plank of Birch with a molded edge carved of the solid in a soft reverse serpentine. Generally these tops are of at least two boards, sometimes with a small third board making up the edge- to be crafted of a full single plank and still maintain the original cleats and smooth function is quite a feat; shrinking and expanding can often have dire consequences on the cleats, resulting in a top that is either cracked or too compressed against the square ... morehead of the pedestal to be functional. Surviving in excellent condition. The table maintains it's original untouched cleats, mostly original screws, original brass latch(and period replaced clasp on the square head of the pedestal) and original tri-form iron bracket beneath the feet. The square pedestal head is a block of cherry chamfered along the underside, the pedestal tenoned through it in a square. The solid cherry pedestal is robust with a wonderful swollen baluster beneath tight ring turnings and over three cabriole legs that terminate in raised pad feet. The legs intersect with the base in soft scalloping that works to soften the flow of the joint, these joining into the pedestal with large dovetails. Finished with a glossy and attractive wax over shellac. The worn and oxidized patina of the wood maintains it's preserved glow and character. This is an exceptional piece for serious collectors of American antique furniture. Measurements: 31 3/8" x 31" top width/height; 24 5/8" from foot to foot Condition Report: Fine mellow refinish. Cleats original and untouched. Mostly original hand filed screws still securing these to the underside of the table wi

English Georgian Chippendale Birdcage Tea Table w/ Tilting Octofoil Carved Top
A work of this nature would be found only in the finest London homes. Evidence of ... morehow it was formed is still visible in the piece, as you carefully look at the centermost point of each circular form- note the scar where the craftsman anchored his lathe to shave the perfect circle with raised molding. The knees are acanthus carved in the Georgian manne

English or Irish Chippendale Mahogany Tea Table w/ Ball Claw Feet c. 1755-85
Fine Chippendale Mahogany Shell Carved Tea Table Probably Ireland. Possibly England, c. 1755-85 Item# 130309DVH23 As one of the most beautiful and well balanced. Well proportioned and finely embellished tea tables we've ever carried, this is a rare and exceptional work of art. The top is a solid plank of mahogany with the rim scooped from the solid in a smooth curve. Projecting softly over the frame, the deep scalloping of the apron just dances and flows, greatly lightening what could easily be an overly heavy apron in the hands of a lesser artisan. The mahogany for the apron was chosen with care, the dense closed grain with a soft flow that follows the soft curve of the apron. Central to both sides of the apron is an applied shell carving. The table rests over cabriole legs with heavily carved acanthus leafage around a checkered knee, ... moreeach leg terminating in highly detailed ball and claw feet. The top affixes to the frame with original pine blocking, the underside of the top being inscribed illegibly. Almost certainly of Irish origin. Though possibly of British origin with Irish influence, this table remains in simply outstanding condition. Preserved and original in every way, this selection is sure to delight the most serious collectors of fine English furniture. Measurements: 30 1/4" wide x 19 1/2" deep x 27 3/4" high Condition Report: Some sunbleaching. More notable to one shell carved side than the other three sides- this side likely was facing forward. Finish preserved under later layers of wax. Light losses to edge of one shell, though the front remains crisp and well presented. Lip of top is patched in one section with a 4 5/8" long patch. Separation at one joint revealing the tenon joinery inside. All glue blocks are original, one missing, eight reglued with carpenter's glue in the last decade. Underside is inscribed illegibly. Old yellow label underneath. Sturdy, stable and overall in very fine condition. Please review all images in the slideshow for a full overview of condit

Antique New England Scalloped Tilt Top Tea Table
This Tilt Top table has been in my family for over 250 years- we no longer have space for it and. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit in with our new South West home's decor. We brought it from Maine to New Mexico hoping we could use it but it just doesn't fit and none of the family has interest in it. We would love for the table to find a home where it will be appreciated for the next 250 years. There is documentation of its original owner. It is an excellent example of an early American piece of fine furniture. It is most likely from New England and the scalloped top is typical of other New England tilt tops. A very similar Massachusetts tilt top table sold at Christie's NY Auction. October 1983 was dated at around 1765-1785. The hand-forged iron brace under the legs is original- not a repair. There are no breaks or cracks on ... morethe top or anywhere else. As far as I can tell it is the original finish. As far as shipping is concerned. I am flexible and we can discuss the best way to pack and ship it. Pick up or delivery is also possible if you're not too far away.

Original 1700s Chippendale Mahogany Pie Crust Tea Table American Philadelphia
Original American c1760-80 Chippendale pie crust tea table. Needs restoration. 2 cracks in the top one with 3 very old repairs. Legs were all broken and repaired at some time. Missing one rail. Holes stripped out where catch attaches under the top. But original working catch mechanism. The bottom metal bracket looks original, but screws are not. Finish is a dark stain and probably not original. You can see the beautiful wood when taking picture with a flash. Table is about 29 inches high and 29 inches diameter. Top is carved from a single piece of mahogany and has many old scuff marks as well as 2 areas where a screw came through from the bottom one of which is repaired. This looks to be a fairly straightforward restoration. I had it checked out as being period and American with a famous New York auction house. Very Fine Antique English Georgian Mahogany Tilt Top Tea Table Circa 1780's
Very Fine Antique English Georgian Mahogany Tilt Top Tea Table Circa 1780's Very meaty heavy table! 2 board top Nicely cut and proportioned legs and feet Good table Fits nicely into a chic city apartment. Or a country primitive house with a more formal parlour. Top has been off of the center mounting block. And reglued. No real damage done, the block probably dried out and cracked, then somebody reinforced with dowel rods, and reset the block back onto the pedestal. This repair was most likely done 30-40 years ago. The finish is a brown colour. With hints of red undertones. Top is slightly sun bleached, could be refinished to have better colour. 30 1/2" by 31" top. 27" tall Posted with

Fine American Queen Anne Mahogany Tea Table, Philadelphia c. 1750-90, Antique
CHEST OF DRAWERS ANTIQUE CHAIRS TABLES BRONZE SCULPTURES FINE PAINTINGS SCHOOL OF ORIGIN SUBJECT LAMPS. LIGHTING AMERICAN QUEEN ANNE MAHOGANY ROUND TEA TABLE Philadelphia or surrounding counties. C. 1750-90 Item# 1404PWP20Z This is a highly satisfying table. The form remaining restrained and austere by choice, the whole certainly indicative of a rather skilled craftsman. The dish top is lathe-turned from a single solid plank of mahogany, the molded rim lifted from the solid through the lathe process; the back of the plank retains the marks where the board was affixed to the lathe, then spun until the edge was of a satisfactory height. This edge is carefully carved to raise a single large bead flanked by scratched channels and coves on either side. The back of the top wears a pair of original cleats affixed with eight screws(four original, ... morefour replaced) these bevelled along the edges and tapering on either end and shaped to the round of the top. The birdcage structure is entirely mahogany. The top board of this box extending in a pair of dowels at the backside into the cleats, forming a hinge for the top to smoothly lift vertically for display; four pillars tenon through the top and bottom board and are secured in place with tiny wedge tenons driven through the ends. The flange of the pedestal rises through the birdcage and the ringed collar inside, locked in place with a tiny mahogany wedge- this appears to be original, but these frequently are lost and are replaced. This device allowed the top to spin freely in a"lazy Susan" manner for easy serving of tea to guests. The pedestal has a slow swelling to the baluster with a scratched channel circling it's midriff. The full post divided with a series of tight ring turnings. The cabriole legs sink into the pedestal with oversized dovetails and terminate over rounded pad feet with chiseled out beveled edges. The four posts in the birdcage work to emulate after the pedestal, including several tight ring turnings at the top and bottom of each, the swollen

18TH CENTURY CHARLESTON SOUTH CAROLINA QUEEN ANNE MAHOGANY TILTING TEA TABLE
SUPERIOR QUALITY CHARLESTON SOUTH CAROLINA QUEEN ANNE PERIOD 18TH CENTURY MAHOGANY TEA TABLE WITH INCISED EDGE With our compliments Bay Colony Antiques is pleased to offer you this most exceptional solid Honduran mahogany 18th Century Queen Anne Tea table circa 1750's Charleston South Carolina. This is a superb specimen in original finish and amazing original structural integrity. For everyone we see only one in a 100 haven't been off their original tilter arms or the arms having been re-drilled and re-screwed. Not this one. We note four issues of minor consequence. 1. a minor professional repair to the securing top pedestal on the column. 2. The lock has been reset with newer screws but never moved on the body-lock also is missing actuating knob but can be manipulated with a small tool to lock and release smoothly and 3. Someone ... moreput a few new screws in the tilter arms. 4. The owner of the estate had a professional restoration preformed on the dovetailed joined base channels. They had dowels sunk to re-enforcement the pedestals by a woodworker. These are all the best things to see and not structurally altered is the big point here. This is a big heavy solid mahogany tilt table that has moving parts. After 250 years these don't hold up so well unless they were virtually never used. This one has seen a very charmed life with no digs. Scratches or evidences of any abuses. Its been loved and cherish purchased through Christies by a Vermont estate in the 1980's. It has a 35 1/2" top and is 28 1/2" tall on the best formed Queen Anne pad foot with a defining deep scribe line ruining around the tables edge. Fine American Queen Anne Walnut Birdcage Tea Table, Chester County, PA c. 1770
AMERICAN QUEEN ANNE WALNUT TEA TABLE CIRCA 1770 Chester County. Pennsylvania w/ Birdcage Structure Item# 411DLP29 This rare and very striking tea table is a fine example of rural ingenuity. The distinctive raised tongue along the shoulder of the cabriole leg. The matched turning of the birdcage pillars to the pedestal, the faceted cleats and intense repeated ring turnings of the lowest third of the pedestal are all indicative of a Chester County origin. It remain entirely pure with untouched originality other than a few screws and the finish, which was probably refreshed at some point during the 20th century. The entire table is crafted of walnut. The two board top with four impressions on the back from where it was affixed to a lathe when the top was carefully carved to form a rim of the solid. The birdcage mechanism allows the top to rotate ... morefreely to easily serve tea, this affixed on dowels to the pair of flanking cleats with their bevelled edges and angled ends. The pedestal is a work of art, an intricate but highly robust swollen baluster over deep repeating ring turnings. The cabriole legs set into the pedestal with large dovetails beneath an original wrought iron spider bracket affixed with rosehead nails, the underside of each leg arching then curving back down to meet the base. The legs terminate in soft clubbed feet on a thin blade. For anyone passionate about the creativity and unrestrained designs of rural Chester County. This is an absolute treasure. In a very fine state of preservation and entirely pure, it is an investment grade selection that will certainly be a cherished part of any carefully selected collection. Literature: Furniture and it's Makers of Chester County. Pennsylvania, Margaret Schiffer. F. 152- a Chippendale Walnut Tilt Top Tea Table in the collection of the Chester County Historical Society with identical shoulders at the top of the legs, identical cleats and screws, very similar ring turning along the lower third of the baluster Materials: Walnut in all surfaces Measurements:
American Queen Anne Tilting Tea Table, Spiral Carved Pedestal, Boston c. 1760
American Queen Anne Tilting Tea Table. Spiral Carved Pedestal, Boston c. 1760 Boston area. Massachusetts circa 1760-1780's View the full slide show on this item here via Flickr: What a superb table. A mastery of early Chippendale/Queen Anne design typical of Boston and the surrounding communities in the late mid 18th century. We are attributing this table to the Boston area, which may include Salem, and Newburyport, Massachusetts. Very fine table. Constructed if solid mahogany. Nicely figured 2 board top, with a spiral carved vase formed turned pedestal, terminating in 3 superbly formed Queen Anne snake legs with nice designed padded feet. Nice warm red colour. With a light shellac finish. We really enjoy fine tilt top tables and this table is no exception. The physical overall condition is excellent. With the wear and dings you would ... moreexpect in a 250 year old table. One of the batons that holds the top to the centre block is loose, and the screw is slightly stripped. This is a easy fix with glue and toothpicks. We can have this fixed for you. We believe the central block holding the top to the pedestal is a very old replacement. It probably broke and was replaced in the late 19th century. We are confident the top is the original top for the base. The legs are dovetailed into the base of the pedestal, as they should be. The base retains the original iron spider and rose head nails to ensure against legs breaking out. No real further condition items to report. Size: 27" round top(26 3/4" by 26 7/8" 27" tall

Antique 18th c upright round wooden tea breakfast table carved pedestal mahogany
An 18th century round tea table in mahogany. It measures approximately 28-1/8" tall and the top measures approximately 32" in diameter. We believe it is American and we do not know the maker. There is overall normal surface wear commensurate with age and use. With some dings and scratches found commonly on antique furniture. The surface is refinished and this table would have originally been a tilt top table- it has been modified so that it stays upright permanently, so it may not be folded up. We think the two wooden supports adhered to the bottom of the surface have been replaced- there would have been a birdcage or likewise mechanism for the tilt top, so the table has presumably also been lowered(made shorter) in the process. Antique Tip Top Tea Table, Top All One Piece of Wood. **SHIPPING AVAILABLE**
Beautiful Mahogany Tip Top Tea Table. This is a gorgeous old table. It is made of solid mahogany wood and has a beautiful patina. The most amazing part of this table is the top piece is all one piece. This one piece even includes the raised edge. Someone hand carved this round flat smooth table top out of one piece of beautiful mahogany wood. The wood has seen the test of time. It has split at one point but it was professionally repaired. If you look closely at the pictures you can see some minor shrinkage and a small split. I do not think it detracts from the age and beauty of this piece. The base isn't too shabby either. The feet have had extra pads put on them and they have been blended in well. At some point a modern(about late 1800's- early 1900's) a brass release catch was attached so that this table could be tipped up. ... moreThis table measures 27" tall. not tipped up) and 24" across.
