As his father he was a wood engraver who signed his work with an interlaced cVs. They worked under influence of the Haarlem mannerists and Christoffel was even a pupil of Goltzius for some time. Art historians have had some trouble to distinguished the work of father and son but especially between Christoffel and his brothers Cornelis and Karel. The work of Van Sichem is interesting for the combination of the early masters(Durer- Van Leyden) combined with the Goltzius school influence. Technical: The sheet measures 19 by 15 cm and the woodcut 10.60 by 8,60 cm. The leaf is in general good condition, it has some occasional small tear and thumbing of the margins and some staining. Antique Early 17th Century" I Cartuga De Toledo" Spanish Brasero Brazier Two Tier Table- 1611* Disclaimer- Although we have dealt in antiques and collectibles for many years we do not know much about this table. If you would like to get this professional appraised before making an offer feel free to do so. This would ensure you know what you are getting. All of the information below is what we have found about this piece from our research but we are not professional appraisers. We make no claims that this is authentic. If you want to know 100% sure it is real like we think it is get it appraised at your own expense. Marked around the top of the table is the words"I Cartuga De Toledo 1611" In the early 17th Century. The"I" that is on the table is actually Baybayin Script for"Ka" which means"The" ... moreCartuga is actually Cartuja as that far back in history there was no"J" letter like in today's alphabet. De Toledo" Means"Of Toledo" in Spain. So put it all together I believe the top of the table translates to" The Church of Toledo 1611. Although we do not specialize in ancient languages this is what we have found while researching this piece and leads us to believe it is an authentic piece from Spain and dates to 1611. There are three markings repeated on the top of the table. One being what I think is the Coat of Arms of Toledo. Spain where it was made, the other being the family crest of King Phillip III who was king at the time it was made and the other marking is some version of the"Fleur-de-lis. There is a fourth marking on the bottom of the table which I believe is the marking of the Kingdom of Castile, in which Toledo,Spain is the capital. This table is made from wood. Brass and copper. There is some condition flaws here or there but that is to be expected with a piece with this much age. It is missing some tacks here or there. This would be beautiful professional restored. Some old worm damage to the feet, the worm long since dead. Oak of this age becomes as hard as iron and this table is really solid, heavy and sturdy. Original Pie-Crust. Tilt-Top, Round Table from the period 1790 to 1805 This beautiful mahogany table demonstrates deep. Luxurious, warm wood tones and incorporates the style used by the artisans in the late 17th century. The table features: Hand carved pie-crust top resting atop a tilt-top bird cage mechanism. Central pillar is joined to the three legs with hand cut dovetail joints. Legs feature three graceful knees and end in classic ball feet. Unfortunately. There are no markings on the piece. Overall Table Dimensions: 27 1/2" diameter 27 1/2" height 13" leg height 42" height(table top tilted up) The condition of the table is very good with evidence of use wear and age(see photos) But there is no serious damage. A wonderful tilt-top pie. Crust table from period 1790 to 1805.

16th/17th Century Antique Joined Oak Center or Side Table - Medieval Pilgrim Era
Fine Items from ALittleUnlimited Description An unusual and rare joined oak table dating to the late 1500's or 1600's featuring legs that are cut in a silhouette emulating turned legs and joined by stretchers around the base and an with a three board top. The three boards pegged together from beneath and the top pegged to the base. It was made by a joiner who did not have access to a lathe but wanted shaped legs rather than square legs. It measures 27" tall. 30" wide and 21" deep. This 400(plus or minus) year old table has a beautiful old finish and patina and shows age appropriate wear. One of the corner edges of the top has been replaced with a piece that was skillfully carved to match the jagged edge. The top was reinforced at some point with two cross boards that can be seen in the photographs. With the apron having ... morebeen cut out to accomodate them. Vintage Antique 17th - 18th Century Pilgrim Side Table - Oak
Here I have a table which is a great example of early Pilgrim construction. This side table has patina from age to die for! It is made of oak and shows all the handcrafted nuances of an early furniture builder. There are 5 Pilgrim style turned column legs. Each a slight bit different and a few cross sections of mortise and tenon joining and with all pegged construction. I acquired this piece from an estate of an old family that lived in New England. The piece has a charming simple ancient appearance with its oval top and base. It is very structurally sound and has a newer shellac(of the period) finish. Its measurements are: 22" high. Ancient exquisite, original and exceptionally rare, 17th century carved Spanish Walnut Centre or Credenza table in terrific condition for its age- a genuine antique of museum quality which is the property of a private collector and has never appeared on the open market- a fine antique to grace any home or any setting. Purchased direct from a Private Collector and dating c. 1620-1650 this fantastic example measures 53.5 inches wide x 30 inches high and 25 inches deep. There is wonderful carving not only to the three deep drawer fronts but also the frieze. Stretchers and the back which lends one to presume it was supposed to be viewed in the round. Antique Period Jacobean English Oak Gate Leg Table, Circa Late 17th Century
Description Nice small Jacobean gate-leg table. Made in England circa 17th century. Dark oak finish with excellent turnings. Provenance: Northeast Auctions. Portsmouth, NH. Dimensions 25 1/4 inches high. 33 inches wide. 12.5 inches deep with the leaves down. 40 inches deep with the top open. Condition As expected for its age. The table has appropriate wear throughout that you can see in the pictures. There is also a break in a board on one leaf. This is certainly repairable if you choose. Other than that the table is structurally sound. RARE BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE 17TH CENTURY OAK NESTING TABLES STOOLS JOINED JOINTS
This is a fantastic late 17th century set of tables. They are joined at all corners with pegs and each of the tops is joined to each base with rectangular wooden pegs too- see photos. They have wear from use and age of course but overall these are a fantastic set of rare antique tables. The largest measures 19 3/4" long x 11 1/2" wide x 17 1/2" tall. The medium table measures 15 3/4" long x 10 3/4" wide x 16 1/2" tall. The smallest table measures 9 3/4" wide x 12 1/2" long x 15 1/2" tall. Please ask any questions. VERY RARE 17th century PILGRIM STOOL
The item for sale is an extremely rare antique 17th Century hand made stool in original solid condition. This has some cracks with typical wear for the age. The piece has dings. Scuffs, finish loss a chipped corner and foot wear. That said they piece is well constructed with wooden pins throughout. The table is solid measuring 25 inches high x 18 inches x 11 inches wide.
