Velvet, ribbon, lace and sequins and beads. The picture has been matted and framed under glass. This is a really cool picture with an ingenious way of decorating it to make a lovely picture with Victorian fashion. The frame measures approx. 16 x 12 x 2" The painted gesso? on the interior part of frame is wearing. Chipped a little. Outside of frame looks to have gesso on sides as well. The print has discoloration and foxing due to age as well as the paper it is mounted on. Outer frame has gold paint. The back cover paper ... morehas started to peel off from the top and there looks to be some water damage on the back paper and frame. After a much needed, major clear out of my studio, it is now filling up fast with new auction finds. Amongst the treasures are Victorian children’s clothes, silk shawls, 19 th century wedding tiaras and veils. Lace, Victorian flags, buttons and much more. I am listing some of these this week, and will work through the boxes, laundering, inspecting, photographing and listing! Do keep looking… I am listing several lots of Victorian dolls clothing this week. This listing is for two tiny dresses- both constructed from antique Ayrshire work christening gowns. They both have small ... moreamounts of damage. But nevertheless, will make splendid dresses for an antique doll. The first has a dress front made from the apron of a very beautiful antique gown- ornate hand embroidery and lovely details. The damage can be seen in the last photographs(some splitting to the fabric at the front, and some loose and broken brides) The second dress has an Ayrshire white-work bodice, with a plain skirt. There is a tiny spilt in the embroidery(also shown in the last images) some pinhead sized holes to the skirt, and a row of stitching at the hem needs to be re-sewn. The ruched arms and side panels on the bodice also show some fragility, with splitting here and there. These will fit an antique doll that is around 60cm high +(but please check the measurements, which are all taken with the dresses laid flat and measured straight across: Dress 1: shoulder to shoulder 18cm, underarm to underarm 26cm, length 63cm(closes at the back with 3 tiny mother of pearl buttons) Dress 2: shoulder to shoulder 16cm(can be made smaller with the adjustable drawstring) underarm to underam 23cm, length 60cm. Lot of Antique Vintage Cotton Baby Dresses Bonnet T-Shirt
This is a lot of 2 vintage white cotton baby dresses along with a stretch cotton undershirt and a cotton sateen embroidered baby bonnet. The smaller Victorian dress is in"as found" condition with some small tears in the front of the skirt. As shown. The longer dress is in very good condition. The t-shirt is in'as found" condition with holes along the bottom edge. As shown. The bonnet is in embroidered with tiny rosebuds and leaves(very nice condition-no ties so there is no evidence that it had ties) I have not laundered these items so they will brighten with cleaning.

I am not a textile or vintage clothing expert but acquired this from a wealthy estate cleanout. I feel this is from the late 1800s early 1900's. They are a work of art. I am sure it could be replaced if desired) This shows 2 beautiful ladies with flowing dresses walking, one is carrying a large handled jar and the other is carrying something as well, though I can't make it out and they are both looking at a tall, 3-legged stand with a flame coming up from it. The frame has pretty openwork/ filigree around it and 4 bows or flowers stationed around it as well. This has nice detailing and is in good, as shown, antique condition with some minor wear, a few dents in the outside of the frame as shown and minor age lines commensurate with age& use.
