Up for sale is this unusual antique metal hoosier style kitchen spice pantry cabinet with original antique country table. The cabinet has a beautiful folk art painted front that has worn to show it's history and character. The hand painted flowers are just amazing. I have never seen a cabinet like this- I purchased it at a local estate sale in Glen rock, Pa. The Estate described it as a Traveling pantry cabinet p ossibly from a traveling store that would go from town to town and sell specialty items and goods- mid/late 1800's. It has a large cylinder with a sifter for flour and many compartments which feed from the top into the bottom that probably held sugars. Spices, etc. It also has a grinder on the side which I believe is for coffee and a hook that pulls out to hang a scale or basket from. ~ Beautiful Antique Tiger Oak 5 Leg Dining Table w/1 Leaf ~ Up for your viewing is an awesome tiger oak dining table that I purchased from an estate auction about a year ago. I actually purchased two tables. One was round(which I already sold) and this one. They both had been stored in I believe an attic, for they were very dusty and dirty due to being stored for many years. This table appears to have quite a few layers of varnish or stain on it and when they stored it I believe they put a vinyl table cloth on it, the kind with the cotton or felt like lining and through the years of heat and the layers of varnish it has on it the lining somewhat stuck to the top of the table. When I went to clean it up the fuzzy stuff would not come off no matter what I did so we thought we would try a spot with some paint stripper and it come off. That is ... morewhy the spot is on the top. My intentions then was to strip it off and restain it but never had the time to do it and hated to see this beautiful table sit around and need the space so I am selling it as it is. As you can see on the spot that we stripped under all the varnish that was on it the grain is beautiful and on the leaf, it is the natural color. This table is on wheels except for the center one is missing. But I should have one somewhere around here that I will put on it if I do. Also there is a piece of wood that is off on one of the legs as shown in the pictures. Other than that it is very nice. Once it is restained or whatever one wants to go about finishing the top it will look awesome. The table measures 42" square x 30" tall without the leaf and 25-1/2" from the ground to the bottom of the table. The leaf is approx. 12" wide. I have provided several pictures to view. This is a rare farm table made of pine with the ORIGINAL Robin's egg blue paint. The top has been scrubbed clean and now reveals beautiful old pine patina. It is a very sturdy table and has been preserved under a coat of white paint. There is a shelf on the bottom and drawer made from a fruit crate. Beautiful old Oak drop leaf farm table with legs that are turned spindles and the top is a typical two piece construction that is a tell tell sign of its vintage origin. The leafs are held up by a swinging gate arm(visible in one of the pictures) on both sides. Arms are solid and swing easily. With the leafs down it is a compact size allowing it to fit in any kitchen or small area. There is a slight imperfection on one of the inside of one of the edges and there are some minor scratches on the top. This table is still in better condition than most tables of it's age. This is a great primitive it is all antique! I purchased this at a general store auction in sycamore valley Ohio Wayne national forest area the original top was in very poor condition and had been cut very poorly! I took three old boards that had been the shelves of an early 19th century corner cabinet and made it the top of this table it has a great primitive look it measures 27 wide x 34 3/4 long x 29 high all square nil construction! This is a fabulous Antique. Handmade, 1800's*Carved/Sculpted WOOD Table* I purchased this many years ago at an antique store. And it's been one of my favorite tables. Not only a fabulous table that will fit just about anywhere, but very functional, as it has the top and lower shelf, and on both ends, it has wood slots, that you can push in or out, and is perfect for holding magazines, books, letters, remotes, or other things. They also slide up and down, and have a lovely hand-cut out pattern in the centers. see photos) A super sturdy table. No wobble whatsoever. Will last for many more generations! All very well glued together. As they made them back than. I believe this is made of beautiful PINE Wood. The wood measures approx. 3/4" thick. The legs are beautifully hand-carved. You could put a pretty table runner or tray on the top if you wanted to, as it does show more age/use marks on top than on the rest of it.
