It is truly a nice period untouched table. It has a ribbon mahogany top, round corner drop leaves, heavy bold column four legged base, solid cast brass Duncan Phyfe claw foot and built in castors. I normally don’t buy period furniture like this, but I was very impressed by how untouched this piece was. The overall size is 40.5 inches long, 24 inches wide when the leaves are closed, 15 inches wide on each leaf, 52 inches long when the leaves are flipped up. The finish is very nice for being 180 years old. It does show normal nicks, dings and scratches, but I believe it would rub out nicely to make a good presentation.

English Chippendale Mahogany Carved Ball and Claw Foot Game Table Late 18th Century. Circa 1790 Item# 130002IRP01 This is a wonderful English Chippendale Period Carved Ball and Claw Foot Antique Game Table. Late 18th Century c. 1790. It is a piece upon which no expense was spared in the production. As every design embellishment commonly associated with the period was executed on this piece. The mahogany top has a nailed quarter-round rim applied on both levels, opening on original brass hinges and untouched screws to reveal a replaced felt surface bordered by mahogany. It projects softly over the frame. This being covered in vertically grained mahogany veneers not just on the front and on the sides, but also along the entire back. This added expense of finishing the back leg surfaces and adding the thick veneers is typically superfluous and ... moreconsidered unnecessary, as the table would remain against the wall- this detail certainly hints this was a commissioned piece for a home of means. The frame is dovetailed pine, as evident when opening the rear gating-leg, the drawer blades likewise dovetailed on either side as they stretch horizontally beneath and above the drawer. The facade of the table has a single broad drawer in the center. The edges framed in tacked cockbead molding(absent on the right side) around the dovetailed oak secondary woods, the bottom crafted of five untouched oak boards nailed perpendicular to the face. The cast brass bail pull handle is absolutely gorgeous, an entirely original and entirely hand forged work of art still retaining it's original backplates, pins and nuts. The underside of the apron has applied gadrooned molding. Nailed every few inches from beneath with short iron nails, carved to match up with the outward flowing acanthus scrolls of the knee returns. The workmanship in the carved knees is exacting, the crisp flowing rococo lines simply sprawling over the sharp knees and down the leg as a natural outgrowth from the gadrooning. The table features a nice inlaid patera on the front and wide stringing on the top edges. All over square, tapered, and fluted legs. The two back legs fold out to support the top. Secondary woods look are pine and oak. There has been some repair to the apron and the top has a slight warp. It has a nice old finish. Please view all photos carefully. The table is a single plank dish topped table, standing on cabriole legs with shaped pad feet having a gun-barrel tapering column rising over, with a classic turned bird-cage rising over which is the swivel top having a later fitted mahogany toggle which has replaced the banjo catch that has been removed at some period during its history. Rising over this is a single piece mahogany top with beautiful figuring. The base revolves on the bird-cage axis. Condition: The table is in very nice near original condition. There are one or two distress marks. Consistent with age and authenticity, the top having been re-finished revealing a lovely antique patination matching the base beautifully, the base appearing to retain its original finish. The table has one or two restorations, the top having been re-finished, the banjo catch having been replaced with a wooden toggle. There is an old metal plate on the bird-cage top where the banjo catch would have snaped into. There are a couple of repairs to cracks in the bird-cage plates but this is all consistent with wear, age and use again adding to character and authenticity. The table is mahogany with birch inlay and mahogany veneers. It has a fifth leg that swings open to support the top and is probably from New England. The table is 36" wide by 18" deep by 30" high closed. Opened it is 36" across by 29" high. It was once a gorgeous table but has some significant problems as follows: the top is warped and there have been some rather sloppy repairs. Mostly done with a shellac stick. There is also a split in the top which has been filled. I tried to get pictures of everything and I hope I didn't leave anything out. I am happy to send more pictures via email to anyone who wishes. English Chippendale Mahogany Tilt Top Side Table over Snake Feet Late 18th Century Item# 110005GFF25 This is an English Chippendale Mahogany Tilting Tea Table. Of the period c. 1760-90. Of remarkable weight, it features a single solid board top, hand planed carefully to create a perfect smooth surface. A thick varnish finish covers the entire piece, glowing on the top, with craquelure throughout the varnish along the pedestal and legs. The original hand carved cleats affix the top to the pedestal with a mix of a few remaining original hand crafted screws among later added screws. A brass catch on the underside of the table top still functions fully to secure the table in a resting postion, this appearing to be a period addition improving over the old catch system- originally a dowel likely joined through the left cleat into a hole in the ... morepedestal head to lock the table top in place. The pedestal tenons through the square base. Solidly locking these two critical components permanently[not the numerous repairs to the square head of the pedestal; this appears to be the original plank with later repairs to help secure it] The pedestal is carefully turned shaft ending in a carved spiral urn, then locking into the legs with tight dovetail joints. Cabriole legs curve down and terminate in simple oval slipper feet. A piece that has seen some life. This is a fine well crafted period tea table. From a conservation standpoint, it would be beneficial to have the current finish removed chemically and a shellac reapplied. It is a fine piece for anyone with a home of colonial or Chippendale design, a sturdy work that is fully capable of regular use in the home. OLD Antique Flame Mahogany American Games Table 18th C on Mid Century Base
This is a marriage of a very old beautiful table top and mid century base and legs. The top of table is amazing. It believe it is flame mahogany. There was some type of apron around the bottom edge that has been removed. As you can see there is a huge patina difference where it was. The bottom of table has never been stained. There is a mid century base that has been added to make it a coffee table height. I am not a furniture expert. But I estimate the table top to be 18th or early 19th C. The base and legs are 1950's or 60's. Table is about 35 inches across. I think it is just two mirror image boards. There is a partial age crack that is lighter colored on the bottom, but It does not go all the way across.You can't see it at all on the top. The table is in very good to excellent condition with some minor wear as shown. I have ... moretaken several close ups for your consideration. There are also a couple of small knots in the bottom of table. They are not on the top. I see no shadow of where a base would have been in the middle. This is a mystery table.Very interesting! I am happy to offer a wonderful very old. Late 1700's, early 1800's, tilt top table made of solid flame mahogany. The top was made in the shape of a tortoise shell(this was done in England when being brought to the colonies) and was originally adopted from the shipping lane to the islands. I seen these tables in Barbados 24 years ago. It is the first time I found one here in the northeast. The estate I received it from was from a fine collector that traveled worldwide buying their furnishings. FIRST. The table is in excellent condition with no major. Nor could I see minor.repairs. The lovely column is handcarved as well as the padded feet. It is all solid mahogany. The table top is amazingly beautiful, being made of solid flame mahogany, no veneers and of one board. The galley edge is handcarved as well and"PEGGED" construction ... moreto the ornate edge. See the pictures. The back has the original early latch and lock setup. Nothing has been added or subtracted from this table. The design in the table is extrodinary and beautiful. Good and sturdy, this table can be used and enjoyed to its max. The table measures when tilted open. 43 1/2" high. When in use and locked, it measures 28 1/2" from the floor and the top from north to south and east to west is a true 28 3/4" each way. Fine craftsmen carved the acanthus leaves and delightful ornate tripod with the true pad feet giving it a good square solid fit to the floor, making it safe and not tipsy. The weight of the table is also a great factor. This table is not of flimsy lesser light woods and again, it makes a suitable table for many years of good use. Please email any questions. Antique Georgian Mid 18th Century Brass Inlaid Mahogany Tripod Table
A very good quality mid 18th century tilt top tripod table. With a one piece top, wrythen turned column, and brass inlaid feet. There are plenty of Georgian tripod tables that loosely fall into the category of mid range furniture, this one is much better than most. If anyone is seriously looking for a tilt top table this one is worth consideration. It is made from very good Cuban or Spanish mahogany, the top is cut from one plank. It measures 31 inches across and is still probably as flat as when it was finished, with good figure and in virtually unmarked condition. Like most furniture it has no makers mark, the feet are inlaid with brass, a nice bit of added detail. The only maker I know that inlaid brass into tables like this is Frederick Hintz, maybe whoever made this had seen his work. Overall height is aprox. 28 inches, general condition ... moreis very good, the legs and the base are solid, there has been some repair here. There is a very old metal plate to one foot, see images) I suspect one of the legs got broken, but the repair is good. The block and catch are good, there are some old worm flight holes here, this has been treated just to make sure. The finish is just wax, I have not French polished it. Early mahogany pembroke table in very good condition. Probably Philadelphia. Original brass caps on each leg. String lightwood inlay on the selvedge of the top and drop leaves. Pine secondary wood. There is an age split on one of the top corners. Refer to the photos for detail. There is also a ring that goes through the finish on one drop leaf from what appears to be the outline of a flowerpot that sat on it. On offer here we have a rare Georgian oval shaped mahogany provincial side table dating to the beginning of the 19th century. This unusual table has a solid oval top with rounded corners over a single frieze drawer and is raised atop square tapering outswept legs. The drawer is pine lined with ebony inlay and later knob handles. The table frame is oval throughout which is very unusual for furniture from this era and is a real find for any buyer. Antique Piecrust Birdcage Tea Table Mahogany 18th c. This auction is for an antique piecrust mahogany tilt-top birdcage table. I have what designers refer to as a mismatched pair. A very similar pair but not identical. This one has a more ornate ball& claw foot and an acanthus urn. One foot is damaged; part of it is missing. See photo. There has been a repair to one leg. White spots on table top in a few pics do not exist! My camera lens needs cleaning! Happy to send any additional pics. Dimensions: 28& 1/8"w x 27.5"h. Payment due within 3 days of auction close. C19th Antique Georgian Mahogany Lowboy Side Lamp Occasional Table
On offer here we have a Georgian mahogany provincial side table dating to the beginning of the 19th century. This pretty table has a solid moulded edge top over a single long frieze drawer with two further drawers and is raised atop square tapering legs. The drawers is of dovetail construction with brass plate handles. The table is solid in build and comes ready for use. Petite American Queen Anne Antique Mahogany Card Table, Massachusetts c. 1760-80

LIGHTING DIMINUTIVE AMERICAN QUEEN ANNE MAHOGANY CARD TABLE WITH PORRINGER TOP Probably Southeastern Massachusetts. C. 1760-80 Item# 1403LBW22-A An exquisite example for it's nearly untouched overall condition coupled with it's quite rare diminutive size- measuring in at just 27 1/4" wide. This is an incredibly striking work of art. The top is a pair of single solid planks of mahogany in what is generally referred to as a"porringer" form, though sometimes also called a turret-top, for the large round corners that typically held a lamp or candle on card tables. This flips over original brass hinges with untouched hand filed steel screws, raised over a single gating back leg. The structure is sturdy in both positions. ... moreThe frame is elegant, the sides of the apron nicely shaped in a pinched scroll cut, the straight edge of the front flanked by stepped ogival shaping. The cabriole of each leg is elongated and of flawless form, a curve that is perfect in it's balance of robustness and restraint, each leg flanked by curling returns(absent on the left side) that are distinct to the Massachusetts work centers. The whole terminates over raised pad feet. In terms of structure. The top is affixed with a series of pine corner blocks glued along the inner edge of the frame combined with a series of hand cut steel screws set in wells at regular intervals. Vertical corner blocks secure three of the four corners, the blocking for the back right corner unnecessary due to the vertical blocking along the gating leg structure. The back of the frame dovetails into the side behind the rotating leg; it seems that at one point a dowel went through the back of the frame into the gating leg, possibly to"lock" the leg in position when it was closed. This has since been cut, probably due to shrinkage, and may have been a later solution to a perceived problem. The gating leg structure is affixed to the b
