The table is mahogany with birch inlay and mahogany veneers. It has a fifth leg that swings open to support the top and is probably from New England. The table is 36" wide by 18" deep by 30" high closed. Opened it is 36" across by 29" high. It was once a gorgeous table but has some significant problems as follows: the top is warped and there have been some rather sloppy repairs. Mostly done with a shellac stick. Circa 1790. This beautiful table is done out of a fabulous figured mahogany wood with a lovely aged patina. The table has its original brass coasters. It is in very good condition. The finish appears to be original. There are a couple of age marks on the side top of the table that I feel is normal for a piece of this age and lends a little character and authenticity to the piece Most likely Boston Origin.
