I could not find any markers markings but I am guessing from other items in the house of this estate sale it is Danish and probably from the 60's or 70’s. It is of smaller proportions making it ideal for a smaller room. The approx. measurements are: 3’ 6½” tall/ 2’ 11” across the front and is 1’ 5¼” wide. The knobs are not original. They were purchased at Anthropologie store. The chest is 50" tall. 34" wide, and 18" deep. Each drawer has inner dimension of: 27" wide. 14" deep and 7" tall. Antique Bird eye maple dresser and original mirror
Used Bird's Eye Maple Dresser. This piece came from my grandmothers house. She was born in 1900. I don't know where she got this piece from. I used it and my son used it as a dresser. I was told it is the original mirror- it is detachable. The mirror is in excellent shape- it was in storage. The mirror easily attaches/unattached with two pieces of wood. The dresser is about 49 inches tall. The mirror about 21 inches- total height about 70 inches tall. It is 18 wide and about 30.5 inches across the front. Each drawer has a key hole. All the pulls and key holes are original. The two front little drawers are curved to match the curve of the front. The four bottom drawers are flat. It is on wheels The inside of the drawer have some pencil marking and one has black ink spilled The worst part of the veneer is the bottom drawer top right ... morecorner- zoom in and you can see it. Notice the joints that connect the drawer. My research shows it is a knapp joint. Used between 1871 and 1905. I have more photos if you want. Non-smoking home. It was love at first sight when I met this Bureau/ Chest of Drawers. Circa 1890.needing to be loving restored to a majestic chest once again. I lovingly and meticulously restored this chest from top to bottom. Respecting it as the wonderful antique treasure it is.You can easily see it is a"chest on chest" style. It features beautiful walnut veneers and solid walnut woods. The solid brass hardware is all original and very intricate. Stunning really. I buffed it back to full glory. The lower drawers have a carving which outlines all the lower drawers together(see photo)There is a very small squiggle in the carving(close up photo) which was done by the maker on the lower drawer, it adds great character. No one has ever noticed it until I pointed it out to them. All of the drawers have been fully restored and slide excellent. The Sheraton ... morestyle legs with fluted corner posts enhance the lines of this chest.I restored the finish using many, many coats of hand rubbed satin varnish which bringing out the gorgeous walnut grains. Built like a tank from all hardwood construction. I custom made the small piece of walnut trim in front of the backsplash.The two small doors are a very unique feature. I installed new magnetic catches for the doors. All of the drawers feature lock and keyed dovetail joinery. Strong, solid and secure displaying the finest craftsmanship by the maker. I restored the inside of all the drawers with the same hand rubbed satin finish as the exterior of the chest.The drawer bottoms are rich& beautiful grained mahogany. Like any fine antique.You will find character marks and minor imperfections in the this piece, such as nick, dings, filled holes, they add character and patina to this wonderful chest. The chest is rock solid, stable and ready to"set it and forget it" there are no issues needing attention, just use it and enjoy it for years to come.This chest has been restored with the highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. antique empire flame mahogany vanity dresser carved!!!!
layaway available on any of my listings should anyone have an interest in that. up for auction is the nicest empire vanity i have seen in all the years i have been messing with antiques. i bought this not long ago and have it in my dining room as there is no where else to put it in my 20 room house. i have another one in a bedroom upstairs that i will list shortly. hopefully it will sell and not this one as i want to actually keep this one. anyway. I have seen a dozen or so of these, but none this nice. it is serpentine, heavily carved mirror harp, pedestal, feet and wings, along with carved roping surrounding the vanity top. the mirror shows some fog, which does not bother me, i can have that corrected for about 100.00 should someone want that accomplished. it is free from damage or repairs as far as i can ascertain. i think the knobs on ... morethe two serpentine drawers are original as well. this is a wonderful empire piece made around 1860 or so i think out of the most wonderful flame mahogany as you will find. the piece has wonderful patina and is gorgeous. the pictures do not do it justice. it stands 49.5 to the top of the mirror, it is about 30 inches to the vanity top and 22 inches deep at the widest point of the serpentine top. it is 44 inches wide at the back of the top and 38 inches wide at the front of the top. shipping will be the buyers responsibility. you may arrange a carrier, or i will do it for you, or you may pick it up at my home. if the carrier requires a crate, i will build it for the cost of the material and will not charge any labor. the material will cost about 50.00 for the crate, if required. i need to sell one of these vanities, don't have room for both. i am starting this at probably all it is worth, but if you want the best, this is for you! i bought it because it was the nicest one i have seen in years and years. i doubt you can find another one like it, and if so, it will be expensive. i will be glad to answer any questions or supply other pictures upon request. good luck

Antique Victorian Walnut Drop Well Dresser w/ Marble Tops Ornate Hand Carving
We are pleased to offer to the market this beautiful antique drop well dresser. Constructed from walnut. This piece is ornately carved. The piece stands 91.5" high at the center of the mirror. The base is 44.5" wide at the bottom and 44" wide at the top of the drawers. It has an overall depth of 18 1/8" and the height of the center well is 16 5/8" The hardware on this has been replaced but still matches quite well. The pulls all have lion faces on them. The marble slabs that sit on the top of the drawers have a space that is approximately 1/2 an inch on each side where the wood shows. I am unsure as to whether these pieces were replaced or not. The slab of marble that sits on top of the well fits snugly and appears to be original to the piece. There are"wings" that attach on each side of the mirror that ... morehave attached candle stands on the front. These also have ornate carving on them. The mirror has beveled glass and is in good condition. There are some age separation cracks on the side panels and there is also a crack on the inside panel on the left side. There are some light surface scratches on the bun feet and base from use and most likely from a vacuum cleaner. This is a previously owned item and it is being sold as shown. Spectacular"Highly Figured Solid Maple" Chest of Drawers Circa 1895 I fully restored this lovely piece.It features incredible"highly figured" solid maple with Birdseye maple veneers on the oxbow top drawer fronts. All of the brass hardware. Including the key hole covers are original.As you can see the hardware is the icing on this cake! The original drawer locks are all in place and in excellent working order using the beautiful key I had made. The top of the dresser has incredible patina and some of the finest grain figuring you will see.The top is first class all the way. All drawers were totally rebuilt and slide like silk. The drawers feature the highly sought after dovetail joinery. I restored the finish all by hand using a custom rich stain to achieve the highlighted rich burgundy followed by many. Many coats of ... morehand rubbed varnish.When you rub your hands over the finish you will feel the superb depth and notice the beauty of the amazing maple grains. This is a"bonnet top" dresser meaning the top two drawers protrude and overhand the lower level drawers. The sides have great architectural design with the paneled construction. The posts which hold the drawer handle in place are brass plated steel, some of the plating has worn off after 135 plus years. The photos show casters in the legs. Early American Antique Dresser Chest Drawers Country Colonial Furniture 1875
An American made classic. beautiful solid cherry wood chest of drawers.this dates from Circa 1875 This piece dates from the Colonial Revival period. I restore antique and make custom furniture. I rescued this gorgeous chest. It was on it's way to a landfill, buried beneath a dark brown paint.I was intirgued by it's design, but I fell in love with this piece when I saw the stunning wood grains hidden under the brown paint. The wood is solid cherry with wonderful, rich grains and textures. Some parts of this chest may be red birch or maple.The cherry wood is both sapwood and heartwood. This accounts for the varied colors and grain patterns, in this beautiful chest The side panels are cherry veneered plywood.I love the blackened grain highlights on the side panels. The wood has many beauty marks including a small age related crack(non-structural) ... morein the top left edge(see photo) I think it adds great charm to the piece. Just like the nails across the top drawer where someone added a piece of wood to the top edge of the drawer(see photo) I think the top drawer edge looks awesome with the exposed nails and the wonderful colors.The"eye brow" shaped drawer pulls are all original. You won't find more beautiful and unique solid cherry wood pulls, the grain patterns are superb. I restored this chest from top to bottom. Including all of the drawers being taken fully apart and restored. I added a wood reinforcement strip in the back of one drawer. the drawers feature dovetail joinery on the front corners with box joinery on the rear corners.I custom added the trim(solid maple) on the bottom edge of the side panels I restored the entire finish by hand scraping, followed by many, many coats of hand rubbed varnish.The top drawer has a lock,without a key.This lovely chest has hard earned beauty marks such as nicks, dings etc, consistent with any fine antique. This is a really wonderful piece-solid cherry on top and sides. With flame mahogany veneer on the drawers, thick brass circular hardware(typifying the Federal period) and really great carvings at the bottom, finishing off with scrolled feet. There is minor nicking to the veneer. Other than that, it is in amazing condition. The drawers are smooth and the wood is beautiful. Looks like it was refinished a while back. Up for auction is this stunning antique wash stand vanity set box for a toothbrush. This is heavy china unglazed on the bottom. Lid rim and bass top. The decoration is a beautiful robin’s egg blue. Then garlands of flowers around the lid and base bowl. The only mark on the piece is the embossed number“119” The lid is pierced and has a gilded rose finial. The inside of the bowl has brackets to hold the brush and allow drying. The box is 8 3/8” long. 3 ¾” wide, and 3 ¾” tall to the top of the lid finial. There is a small gap in the unglazed rim on the underside(this is not a crack. Does not go through, but is shrinkage from when this was made common in iron stone) The piece is in excellent vintage condition with no nicks. Chips or cracks. ebay allows 12 pictures. for this piece that is not nearly enough to do a decent job in describing and showing it. at any rate. Here is a wonderful antique serpentine front dresser most likely by mitchell and rammelsburg. if not by them, someone equally as gifted in furniture making. the dresser is mahogany and stands 94.5 inches tall on its original porcelain casters. it is 49 inches wide and 24 inches deep. it has 4 drawers. the one at the bottom does not appear to be a drawer. it was crafted to be a hidden drawer. there are no pulls on it and it is carved differently to appear as the bottom splash board of the dresser. the dresser is quite heavy, the drawers are well made with the front serpentine boards being about 1.25 inches thick. notice the joints of the drawers, all hand cut dovetails which date the piece to circa 1870-1880. it has ... morea large mirror harp as you can see that is pierced carved and has candle stands, finials, crests, and other nice details that make this a very desirable dresser. the mirror is arch shaped and shows some smokiness and a little silver loss. the mirror is actually in better condition than most. i do not know if the mirror is original but the backing appears to be. at the base of the mirror harp on each side is a nice glove box with a drawer that is hand carved dovetails. i forgot to get pictures of these with the drawers open, nor did i show the four drawers of the dresser open as i ran out of picture spaces allowed by ebay. the drawers all open with ease and each drawer is designed for its specific space. i have a book that is dated 1991 that lists a dresser like this but not as nice for 2250.00. it has great form and beauty, the front of the dresser corners are especially nice. the marble is original and is in great condition for its age. any questions please ask and if you want more pictures i have several and would be glad to supply them, again just ask for what you want. the dresser may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. i know the pictures are bad, i
