But we are moving and cannot take it with us. It is hard to see it go because it is a really beautiful piece. My Mom took very good care of it and I can remember dusting and polishing it through my life. There is the littlest bit of wax residue in some of the carving. But it has been kept beautiful with Old English and Windex, and Liquid Gold Brand Polish. The worst of the surface wear on the wood is over the legs which are not bad for the age. There is damage to the two claw feet in the front. One piece that we had has been glued on but the other side has a piece missing. We believe it is from the turn of the century 1905 to 1920 but cannot be more specific. My Mom told me that my Uncle gave it to my Dad and Mom in the 1940s. But Mom is no longer with us to get more information and I only remember this piece from about 1962. A very elegant design. It stands 60 5/8 inches the top of the cabinet. The removable decorative back piece adds about another 7 inches making the overall height 67 3/4 inches. It is 41 1/4 inches wide and 15 1/2 deep. The inside dimensions are 36 1/2 inches wide by 44 1/2 tall by 12 1/4 inches deep. There are three glass shelves. One shelf is slightly thicker and I can remember my Mother having a shelf made when we moved in 1964 as one broke. Very nicely carved at the top with a laurel wreath and ribbon design. There is beading around the top front edge. There's carving at the bottom and there are occasional chips here and there. The joints are all tight. AND THE BEST OF ALL. THE ORIGINAL KEY IS STILL IN IT. ALWAYS WAS IN A NON-SMOKING ENVIRONMENT FOR LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. Please look at the photos closely and carefully for added description. 1800s Antique Beveled Wall Mirror
This antique mirror was purchased over thirty five years ago in an Iowa farm auction. I believe the wood is oak. At the time it was painted over in white but removed once we knew how beautiful it was underneath. It's mirror is beveled, and shows the sign of age, bringing out the charm. It measures 30 1/2" tall and 22 1/4" wide.

One rare and unique characteristic of this superb Victorian Mahogany Scotch Chest of Drawers is the hidden alcove. The cornice top folds over to reveal a deep and large unique secret compartment for storage. There are five long graduating drawers with original turned mahogany knob handles with Mother of Pearl insets in the center. Antique Dutch Marquetry three panel barley twist shaving mirror 19th
This three panel shaving mirror has outside panels that are removeable. The drawers are inlaid in the marquetry style with exotic woods. The central portion of the mirror is 26 ¾ inches wide. When the side panels are included it is 47 ¼ inches wide. The central mirror including the base is 37 ¾ inches high. The edges of all of the mirrors are beveled. The posts where the outside mirrors attach are barley twist. The storage portion at the bottom with the drawers is serpentine in shape. The drawers are dovetailed. The piece is in very good condition. It dates circa 1870. There are a couple of splits in the wood on the back of the large mirror.

Presently I put a wash bowl and pitcher on it which I have listed as well. Each drawer has dovetailing and I would say this piece is in very good plus to excellent condition. The gleaming finish is in excellent condition. The top"drawer" is actually a pull out desk. Used while standing or with a tall stool. Scottish Flamed Mahogany Chest. This is an impressive 1840's Victorian Scottish Flamed Mahogany Chest of Drawers with a large flared cornice top with convex molded contour front. One rare and unique characteristic of this superb Victorian Mahogany Scotch Chest of Drawers is the hidden alcove. The cornice top folds over to reveal a deep and large unique secret compartment for storage. There are five long graduating drawers with original turned mahogany knob handles with Mother of Pearl insets in the center. The chest features incredible precise hand cut dovetail joints on all four corners of each drawer. The drawers also feature hand shaved(chamfered) drawer bottoms. Beneath the bottom drawer is a sturdy base with large elegant turned legs. This is an Antique Late 1800's Victorian Natural Tone Oak Dresser with Original Brass Drawer Pulls and Key Locks/ Hardware. 44.5 inches wide x 33 inches tall x 19.5 inches deep. Has 4 dovetail drawers and metal caster wheels. Key to the locks is unavailable. The lower drawer bottom has been replaced. All drawers are opening and closing properly. Item is structurally sound for it's age. Caster wheels are all rolling. Top back right corner has a slight warp on the tabletop with separation and a small crack. Shouldn't be a problem for most. It's not noticeable when standing against a wall. Item was lightly sanded and clear varnished in the mid 1970's. Small top drawers are 18 inches wide x 5.5" tall. A very unusual large and fancy Bonnet style chest. Circa 1820-1840. Cherry solids& veneers with poplar secondary woods. Has older label on back. That says it was brought to Anna Ill. Union Co, 1859, by C.E Kirkpatrick, ex. mayor of Anna. This label apparently was written in 1939. It is hard to make out the pencil writing, partially reads"recondition April 1939 by Headrick Bros. woodcraft shop, 421 N Sprigg st Cape Girardeau, MO. Girardeau MO. is only about 26 miles from Anna Ill. Cornwall Kirkpatrick was in the pottery business in Anna with his brother. Today Anna pottery is highly collectable. The Kirkpatrick brothers were originally from Ohio. No other provenance. A neat label with some history. 4 smaller drawers over 3 bow front drawers. All the drawers are hand cut dovetails. Solid poplar drawer sides and bottoms. Wooden pulls ... moreI believe to have been replaced. Inside was 1 remnant sandwich glass style knob. Picture# 4 shows underneath of case, lower left hand side leg is out of slot. All the legs are loose like this, not broken, just dry glue. Also this picture shows bottom back strip of wood as ply-wood. Obviously a replacement. Top of dresser has spindle gallery, Spindles and top board are cherry. Top has a couple plugged areas, possibly to cover knots in wood. Picture# 9 shows close-up of column side, this column has a small repair. Picture# 11 shows 1 bowed drawer with bottom slide repair. It is an antique chest. The chest has mahogany veneer. The drawer sides and bottom are made of oak. The drawers have square nails and the underside of the drawers are hand chamfered. The interior of the pulls have carved mother of pearl. It is 48 1/2" tall x 21" deep x 49" wide. The chest is in fair used condition. The drawers open and close fairly smooth. The veneer has some warping. Chips and old repairs. The top is loose and has some dings, staining and remnants of tape. Overall, it presents well. A true antique. A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, carved and burled walnut marble top dresser with attached mirror frame and beveled mirror. Two piece construction. The case has three short drawers over two long drawers, with the original brass pulls. The drawer interiors are maple. Light burl walnut veneers across the drawers. The sides have a recessed panel. A finely mottled brown and white beveled marble slab is on top. The mirror frame is supported with a frame of deep carved classical cornice having acanthus, drapped swag, and serpentine ribbon. The mirror frame support measures 4'9" 57" tall by 3'7" 43" wide by 3" deep, the mirror glass 29" by 27-1/2" The dresser measures 3'8" 44" wide by 2'4" 28" tall by 20" deep. The front feet are large carved claws with acanthus leaf tops, below plinths supporting full round columns having acanthus carved capitols. Between are two flat deep drawers with curved ends. Above is the long convex front drawer, sectioned inside. Three small drawers are on top, all drawers with the original cut glass knobs with brass collars. Supporting the removable framed swivel mirror(new glass) are two carved acanthus leaf scrolls. The fronts and sides of the case are flame mahogany veneers, the case and drawer interiors of pine. Fantastic antique New Hampshire Chippendale chest of drawers. Constructed from pine. This piece has been stained a beautiful deep reddish brown tone. The chest has five graduated doors, each with sturdy dovetail construction and brass willow mount pulls and escutcheons. The chest has a classic overhanging molded top, which is balance my simple bracketed feet at the piece's base. This chest probably dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. Overall. The chest is in fair to good antique condition, but does have some wear and dings commensurate with age and use. One of the escutcheons also has a break near the top, as you can see from the pictures below. Otherwise no significant damage or visible repairs. Antique Louis XV Inlaid Parquetry Marble Top Bombe Commode c. 1800s 2 Drawers
Exquisite antique Louis XV marble top commode. The sides and front have been inlaid with beautiful geometric parquetry that sets off the beautiful curved shape of the commode. The corners and feet are accented with ornate metal decorations that match the dramatic drawer pulls and key surrounds. The drawers are have been constructed with sturdy dovetail joints and the piece also has a paneled back. This timeless piece most likely dates from the 19th or early 20th century. Overall the commode is in good antique condition. With some minor wear. There is damage to the veneers along the back legs, but it is difficult to see and one of the front legs looks like it may have been repaired near the bottom. See pictures. It has a lovely patina to it, original turned knobs, and is a very sturdy piece of furniture. English pine dressers make great additions to beach homes, cabins, or any room that has a rustic flair to it. English pine from the Victorian period(circa 1890) is getting quite hard to come by and should be attractive to any antique collector. While pine from Eastern Europe ... moreis plentiful here in the US now. It does not have the charm or history of the antique English pine. Since most pieces like this have already been exported from England, we do our best to procure nice examples of Victorian pine whenever possible for our customers. The classic two over three drawer design still functions very well with the drawers sliding in and out quite easily. The dresser does not wobble and is very sturdy. You will notice several repairs on both the left and right sides of the chest. As well as a filled in gap on the top. These gaps and repairs come from the wood shrinking over the many years of its life, which leaves gaps where the wood used to be joined. These have been filled in and add character to the chest. One of the wooden knobs has a broken base, but if you turn the knob so the broken part is facing down you don’t see it. There are locks present on the drawers but no key. There is also a section on the very back of the right side with some damage which we have photographed.
