Victorian Farmhouse Lincolnshire Pine Dresser - Antique Furniture

53560 ANTIQUE 1830s FLAME MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERS W CARVED CLAW FEET & PILLARS
A very fine antique. Circa 1830's, Empire style solid and flame veneered mahogany tall chest of drawers. There are two bowed drawers over five graduated drawers. All retain their locks, five brass key holes(two brass missing) and twelve original brass bail pulls. The case is on front carved claw feet supporting tapered full found pillars having flame mahogany veneer, with carved capitols, and squared carved rosettes above. The drawer fronts are butterflied flame mahogany veneers, the drawer interiors in maple. The drawer undersides are chamfered. The solid mahogany case sides have recessed mahogany panels. Chest measures 58-1/4" tall by 45" wide by 24" deep. Excellent condition: original finish, some chipping to claw feet, minor veneer chips at top edge of two long drawers. Top two boards without cracks or ring spots.

A most unusual antique. Circa 1840's, Empire period flame mahogany veneered and solid mahogany man's petite dresser. Lifting up and back of the top exposes a gray veined white marble surround, the underside of lid with the original very wavy mirror. The case holds four drawers with butterflied flame mahogany veneer fronts, the drawer interiors in oak. The case is on casters. The dresser measures 37-1/2" tall by 28" wide by 16" deep. Very good plus condition: damage is a horizontal crack to board and veneer across the top board of the lid. Both veneered sides have vertical shrinkage cracks. Includes all the locks and the key. The marble slabs are without chips, or stains. The right side marble piece has been broken in two and cemented back. The mirror is fine. The original finish has aged to almost an ebony color.

Selling a real piece of Southern folk art furniture from Knox County. Tennessee, c around 1800/ 1820. This is an example of the early rural cabinet maker's art. There are two small drawers side by side across the top above three larger single wide drawers. There is a handsome Chippendale style tall bracket base. The hand carved trim up and down the two sides is very Sheraton looking and executed by a man without a lathe in his cabinet shop. It has such PRESENCE! It also has the distinction of having THE WORST EVER PHOTOS WE HAVE USED IN AN EBAY LISTING IN 13 YEARS! If you are interested we will clear this off and take some better pictures. The narrow dresser is approximately 45 1/2" tall. The overhanging top is about 16 1/2" deep by 35 1/2" wide. Antique English bow front regency chest of drawers with matched cross cut mahogany front. Pencil molding with turned mahogany pulls centered with etched mother of pearl inlay. The two over three dovetailed drawers rests on turned legs and a scalloped skirt. Dimensions are 47" in width, 20 1/4" in depth and 45" tall. This piece has a beautiful wood grain. Deep patina and original finish. The chest has appropriate signs of wear, some pencil molding is missing on the side of two of the drawers, some chipped veneer, and one of the pulls is missing the lower part of its turning. It is in great structual condition. All 3 drawers work well. It has no missing parts breaks or cracks. All drawers have there wood bottoms. It is very clean. It appears to have been refinished many years ago. The drawers are thick veneer over a solid secondary wood. The bottom drawer does have some cracking in the veneer but has been sealed when it was refinished. Also the bottom drawer has a small veneer chip and 2 places were the veneer has been patched with walnut veneer patches which just adds character to the chest. An antique Chest of Drawers made from Flame Mahogany. Circa 1900. We are pleased to present this unusual circa 1900 American Chest of Drawers for your consideration. Made of gorgeous Flame Mahogany. The chest has one full width drawer at the top. Two half-width drawers on the left are paired with a large compartment on the right, possibly originally intended for a chamber pot. The drawer pulls appear to be replacements, although the pull for the compartment, plus lock and escutcheon appear to be original. The Chest of Drawers measures 30 inches high. 40-3/4 inches wide, and 20 inches deep. There is a piece of thick glass that has been added, covering the top of the Chest. Wheels have been added to the feet, making the Chest a bit easier to move around. Dovetail joints are found on the Drawers. There are wheels so it can be moved easily and a glass covering for the checkerboard top. The glass is wrapped and not shown- the small round items on the top will hold the glass in place. This is a very old. Petite washstand that we have revived for your country, cottage, shabby chic, or seaside vacation home. This piece will freshen up any small space in your home. Offered for sale is this 19th century dresser top mirror frame- sorry no mirror. Based on the wood patina and the square nails or cut nails using. I would guess this is a 19th piece. The frame's 4 ornate carved corners look like to make of Gesso or other stuff. The frame looks like nothing missing except mirror. The wood didn't change the shapes for over 100 years, but it do need some restoration for the loosing joints, just a few nails/screws and some glue will do. And the previous owner seems to try to repaint it but he hasn't finish the job, It probably needs some time to clean the old finish and repaint it. The wood is good but I don't know what kind of wood. Where I bought this frame and I also bought an 3 old wood carving pieces. I have no idea that they go with the frame or don't belong to the frame. The heft makes me think of Empire or Gothic furniture, and the look and the knobs seem American to me. So my guess would be mid 1800s, maybe 1840-1870-but what do I know? You decide for yourself, and ignore my misleading guesses. All the drawer pulls match and there is a key for the biggest drawer. Condition: You will see normal wear and tear-light scratches and stains-and there is a small crack on the top. I see nothing major or unexpected for a piece this size and age. You'll love it! This nicely made 1860s-80s ash wood chest of drawers measures 12 ¼” tall x 13 1/8” x 7 ¼” deep and appears to have original. Untouched varnished surface overall. The top and each drawer are framed by red striping with sprays of flowers hand painted in the middle. Each drawer has sweet turned walnut knobs and all appear to be original. The sides have extra nice cuts and the back is of thin sawn pine. Construction overall is butt wire nail with glue and there are scattered old nail and glue repairs. Center inlay is spread over two drawers, depicts a classical Louis XV XVI bouquet of flowers tied with a ribbon in a big bow. Over the top is a large sienna multi-specimen marble. Piece has 3 drawers running down the center, on ends are two vertical doors with storage room and above them are smaller drawers, that are hinged on the outside and they swing open(see photo) The 3 center drawers and 2 doors are fitted with original antique locks. The two center drawers feature loop handles. Gorgeous quality bronze mounts cover the corners. And all four legs are finished off with dore bronze ... moresaboe mounts. Antique Solid Mahogany Empire Dresser & Mirror
U p for auction is this magnificent Empire Style Solid Mahogany Man’s Chiffonier from around the 1830’s. The dresser was re-finished many years ago but the mirror was never re-finished. The drawers are dove-tailed and very thick. This does not have veneer. It is solid beautiful wood. It stands about 72’ tall and approx. 40” wide and is on the original castors.
