for sale a very nice antique quartersawn oak dresser with original beveled mirror and hardware. dresser is serpentine in the front which is a very desirable and somewhat rare feature. it has a great carved harp for the mirror which hopefully the pictures will show. it has abundant quartersawn flake on the top and all the drawers and dividers. the finish is overall in very good condition. Here is an antique East Lake-style walnut top dresser with tilting mirror and 3 drawers from the late 1800s. Dark refinished walnut solid wood. Mirror has beveled edges. Drawer sides are dovetailed to faces and backs. Six drawer pulls all the same. Locks for each drawer but no key. Cabinet measures 42 inches long. 19 inches deep and 30-1/2 inches tall. Mirror adds 46 inches for overall height of 76-1/2 inches. Total weight of cabinet and mirror is 120 lbs. Mirror is removable from dresser. Condition: Dresser is in very good condition. Wood joints are tight. There is no damage except for a small wood repair about ½ inch diameter that is very dark in the mirror frame top left. Here is an antique East Lake-style marble top dresser with 4 drawers from the late 1800s. Dark walnut solid wood. Drawer sides are dovetailed to fronts and backs. Eight drawer pulls all the same. Locks for each drawer but no key. Tan colored marble top. Sort of looks like ground up seashells or fossils. Cabinet measures 38-1/2 inches long, 18 inches deep and 30 inches tall including casters. Marble top measures 40-1/2 inches long, 19-1/2 inches wide and 13/16 inches thick. Total weight of cabinet and top is 120 lbs. Condition: Dresser is in very good condition. Wood joints are tight. This is a gorgeous solid black walnut with burl walnut applied trim Victorian age drop center dresser with a white and gray grain marble ... moretop that dates from the 1880s. It came in on a recent load. And was very clean. Someone probably refinished it a long time ago, and all we did was tighten it up, scuff it down and re-spray it to remove all the nicks and dings. It has a great look, a dark walnut stain finish, white and gray grain marble tops in really nice condition with minor stains and no cracks. It also has hand-cut dovetail drawers, big burl walnut panels on the front, and carved medallions in the center. It also has the old teardrop dresser knobs of ebony. The top of the dresser has what looks like the original mirror, along with the original candle shelves that was used to hold the oil lamps while gazing at your reflection. It also has all original carving and decoration on the back, and the top of the carved crest, the applied cutout carved trim, button medallions, applied burl panels and clamshell carved crest on top, all intact. It’s all ready to go in your home. It measures 44 inches wide, 17 inches deep, cabinet base is 32 inches up to the marble, 79 inches to the top of the mirror crest. for sale is a very nice serpentine quartersawn oak dresser with an intricate cut beveled mirror housed within its frame. to cut that mirror today with the bevel would cost a minimum of 800.00. at any rate this is a wonderful solid dresser with no issues to report other than the mirror is a bit smokey and has lost a wee bit of silver. it has great carving with much detail. the top is solid quartersawn oak of the highest quality. hardware is all original. the casters are new. the top is serpentine as well as the front. it is 50 inches wide at it widest point. 24 inches deep at the widest point. it is 82 inches tall being 36.5 inches to the top surface of the dresser. it has a claw type foot. i managed to dig this out of an upstairs bedroom set. i have included a few pictures of the bed. Antique Empire Dresser with Beveled Swivel Mirror 1860s Burled Walnut Located on Long Island. NY This is a very old. Large antique dresser with a swivel, framed beveled mirror. It has the original finish, which I believe is flame burled walnut, with a beautiful wood grain and patina. The end pieces on the base and the mirror supports are carved. The drawers have dovetail joints. Keyholes and the original glass pulls(keys are not included) I purchased this dresser in Atlanta 25 years ago. I was told it was a Civil War era piece dating to the 1860s. Although I have no way of verifying that. The drawers are very large and roomy. This is typical of pieces made at that time. As clothes were stored flat in drawers. This is a large. Solid piece measuring 54 in wide x 26 in deep x 35 in high. The mirror with frame measures approx. 46 in across x ... more37 in high. Overall. This piece is in good condition, but it is old and does have some imperfections. The top surface is very blotchy from what were probably water stains. In addition, the veneer is split on the top right drawer with some pieces of veneer missing, and there is a blemish on the lower left corner of the mirror(please see photo) I don’t see any other major issues with this piece, but please feel free to ask questions.
