Vintage Sterling Silver And Copper Mule Bookmark Or Place Marker .925 Copper
Awesome vintage artisan made 2 5/8" long Mixed-Metals place holder. Or bookmark, made of solid copper and a Sterling silver. The top design is a pack mule or donkey slouching over, taking a rest on top of your book. The bookmark is 2 5/8" inches long by approx. 1/2" wide and is made so that the Mule sits atop the pages of the closed book and is the only part that is visible when the book is shut. Shown as an example. Fixed on the edge of a piece of paper in the photos. The 1" long Sterling Silver Mule sits atop the copper base. The longer Copper portion. Or the base, is what holds the page and is the base for the Sterling silver donkey appliqué. The mule is etched with very detailed pack like designs and is made in a handmade and hand etched style. The donkey or mule is marked Sterling and the page holder. Or bookmark ... moreportion is marked copper, the Sterling silver was tested for authenticity and are in fact the metals that they claim. Vintage hallmarked Sterling Silver Bookmark This beautiful bookmark is made from sterling silver in the shape of a heart with floral and foliate decoration in relief. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1988 with the maker’s mark‘WW’ This piece is in very good condition with no dents or dints that I can find and the blades lie nice and flat. Please be aware that it is 27 years old so there are some tiny surface abrasions and a couple of tiny nicks around the edge.
