Vintage hallmarked silver Decanter/Bottle Label This sterling silver Sherry decanter/bottle label has a scrolling foliage decorated surround. It is very clearly hallmarked for London 1971 with the maker’s mark of‘A C& S Ltd’ This item is presented in a brand new case which is covered in a black. Leatherette-effect material. This piece is in excellent condition with no dents. Dints, splits or holes that I can find and the chain has no damage. Please be aware that this is a vintage item so there will be light surface abrasions caused through use and cleaning. UK buyers please note that the by posting the label in a box. a beautiful hallmarked solid silver georgian wine ticket/ decanter label. in beautiful condition it has a foliate border and pierced letters to read sherry. It measures 4.7 cms wide x 2.8 cms high, weight approx 13 grams, the chain being of strong round links, the rear is hallmarked with the duty mark. sterling mark and date letter b? 1817, the makers mark is hard to read, the piercing appears to have been worked latter taking away the marks, this will display well on any fine period decanter,please study the photos. any questions please ask. i will post anywhere paypal overseas please.

Except for the usual surface scratches(all commensurate with age and use) It is in very good condition for 45 years old and is without a monogram. It measures approx. 6 cm x 4 cm. With the chain looped 7.5 cm and weighs 13.6 grams. The assay office is London. With the date letter for 1970 and the maker’s mark for A Chick& Sons Ltd.
