A rare Christmas spoon and fork set by A Michelsen. Christmas 1972. Beautiful coloured terminals. Solid silver and gilded. Both fully hallmarked to reverse with London import mark. Also marked to reverse JUL 1972 A. MICHELSEN STERLING DANMARK. Both measure approx. 16.3cm long. Very heavy. Weighing approx 90 grams/ 2.9 troy ounces. Boxed set. Both in excellent condition. Rare& Beautiful Solid Silver Enamel Niello Snuff Box A rare solid silver enamel nielllo snuff box made in Moscow Russia in 1899 by a make i cannot find with the initials A.K The box has a lovely enamel niello with a stunning gold gilt interior on the frot of the box the enamel niello has worn away in places but when you look close it reveals a man on a horse with a stunning background scene of what looks like greek ruins& old buildings. The enamel niello to the base is in fine& wonderful condition& that has lovely sailing ships in a harbour with old buildings& all around the outside it has a stunning Acathus leave pattern. Around the panels of the box it has a diagonal design of enamel niello. Hinge works perfectly well. Hallmarks are quite good to read but not to take pictures of as the gold gilt is way too shiny to allow ... morethis. Antique Solid Silver& Guilloche Enamel Retractable Toothpick Description Antique solid silver& guilloche enamel retractable toothpick. Cylindrical shaped body with plain tapered solid silver tip& beautiful mauve coloured guillouche enamel over the rest of the body. At the top is a solid silver push button with suspension loop that when pressed releases the solid silver toothpick inside that extends out of the tip. Pressing the top push button also allows the toothpick to be pushed back in. Stamped on the suspension loop are the numbers"930" for solid silver fineness. The case was made in Austria yet imported to the U.K where one of the finest makers had put his mark on the case that maker is P.H.VOGEL A man of extremely good quality skills that produced some of the finest solid silver enamel cigarette cases& boxes. P.H.VOGEL must have a very good connection with talented silver enamel makers in Austria as i have seen his name put on many pieces that were made in Austria. It maybe that they were sent here for him to finish the items. The case has the finest dark green enamel guilloche design that when held in the sunlight it truly brings out a stunning sunburst design on both sides of the case with a stunning Gold ... moregilt interior original cigarette strap& hallmarked all over the case. The Enamel is in great condition with no chips whatsoever it just has surface scratches as you would expect with something that is over 90 years old. I had to take a couple of pictures with the flash on as the guilloche was not showing its true design with normal pictures. See picture 3& 8.
