Silver Baby Rattle Cow Bell Teething Ring Mother of Pearl Victorian
This is a combination baby rattle and teething ring in the form of a cow bell with attached ring( 1 3/4 inc diameter) of mother-of-pearl. The bell seems of sterling. Tho is not marked as such, and contains a pea or BB to produce the rattle. The bell is 1 1/4 x 1 inch. There are minor dings, only very superficial scratches to the bell. Vintage 1934 Lullaby Sterling Baby Rattle. Teething Ring, Monogrammed Heart Up for sale is an antique sterling teething ring or rattle for baby with the name Laura Monogrammed on one side. A mother of pearl handle and signed by the maker. MARKINGS: The handle is signed Lullaby Sterling and 1934. ITEM DESCRIPTION: This piece shows that it was loved alot by someone named Laura. The heart is hollow and when it hits the MOP ring. It makes a beautiful jingle. It could also be a teething ring but I am unsure. The heart itself is etched with tiny flowers around the top and it has the name"Laura" monogrammed on one side. It measures 1 1/4" x 2" The ring measures 1 3/4" in diameter. It weighs 0.3 ounces or 9 grams. This could be used for re purposing or the weight in silver alone. Weight was 8 lb 5 oz and for the name is the initials CDN. The strap is stamped Sterling and is attached to a Lucite I believe maybe mother of pearl ring that is for teething, and the dangly bell shaped piece is a rattle. The ring measures two and a quarter inches in length by the silver part one inch in diameter and the ring one& a quarter inches in diameter. The rattle is really quite lovely with its teething ring and the rattle shaped like a bell with a bell inside which rattles and this is all made of solid silver and has lovely early chasing to the front and it says. Baby across it and on the back there is a full set of english hallmarks for Birmingham, solid silver& 1910 and makers mark of C&N and as with age& use it is marked and dented as you would expect with use and does have some blue marks see pics, that look as if it may have been enamelled origionally. Vintage sterling silver baby rattle bell mop? teething ring id'd time name 1935
There are a lot of nice details on this vintage sterling baby item. The rattle/bell section measures 1& 1/8" wide at the widest part and is 1" long not counting the suspension hardware at the top. The front has a clock face design and reads 1:00- presumably the time the child was born. Beneath that is a banner that contains the baby's birthweight of 6 lb. 12 oz. The reverse side has the child's name. And"born Nov. 4, 1935. The link that fastens the bell to the teething ring is designed to look like a belt with a nice buckle detail on it, The word STERLING appears in raised letters on this link, and after that a hallmark that looks like a W. The link is slightly bent. The teething ring section looks like it's made from mother of pearl, but I'm not sure if it's mop or another material made to look that ... moreway. The ring diameter measures 1& 3/4" Overall condition is good, but there appears to be some flattening of the bell/rattle and belt-like link, as well as surface scratches on the bell and ring. I have lightly polished the silver parts, but did not attempt to clean the ring with anything other than water since I'm not sure what it's made of and didn't want to damage it. The silver carries a full set of English sterling silver hallmarks dating it to Birmingham 1923 along with the makers initials C&N for Crisford& Norris. It is in very good condition with a nice patina and it displays nicely. The child measures 60mm(2.3" long and the ring is 58mm(2.25" in diameter. Vintage Lunt Sterling Silver Teddy Bear Baby Rattle Teething Ring
Vintage Lunt sterling baby rattle. With teething ring. Both sides of the rattle have a teddy bear on them, it makes a nice tinkling sound when moved. The rattle is about two inches wide. I believe the teething ring is some kind of hard plastic, but I'm guessing. The clasp attaching the two together is marked Lunt, Sterling on one side, the other side has a flower and leaves engraved on it. The sterling rattle has scratches and a couple of minor dents, it is tarnished, but overall it's in nice condition for its age. It's very hard to get good pictures of shining items with my camera, the pictures look like the whole piece is dented, but it's reflections, I tried to take pics at different angles so the new owner will have a good idea of the items condition.

You can compare on ebay alone. This is engraved to a baby born 1.5.39 with the initials JMD. There is no damage to the shell, and no dents or damage to the bell. Just tarnish. 1954 Webster Sterling Baby Rattle with Plastic Teething Ring Vintage Teether
The teething ring it definitely plastic. The back of the rattle is marked Webster sterling. The front has been crudely inscribed with the birthday of 9-14-54. And the weight 7lbs 6oz. The height was omitted. The back has the name Lyle Scott inscribed. The silver is badly tarnished with an ugly amount of darkening and discolored. There’s also a good deal of scratching. The details are worn and dulled. Teething ring measures approximately 1 5/8" in diameter. With bottom of sterling 1" wide. Vintage collectible sterling silver& MOP Lullaby teething ring marked Lullaby 1931 sterling. It is in the shape of a bell with the mop ring. The bell measures 1.25" with the ring measuring 1.75" in diam. It is in very good used condition and being sold as such. Nice old Gorham baby rattle and ring. The strap is marked Gorham Sterling 1805. It is a sealed bell with a fair bit of wear but nothing major. Just been loved and used. No monogram and has a very unusual Nursery tale character of Goosey Goosey Gander. Ring measures 1 3/4" across and the bell measures 1 1/8" across and 1 1/4" top to bottom not counting the strap.
