Also missing is the teething ring, but there is the mother of pearl teether. The makers of this item is Crisford and Norris, but I can't seem to find the hallmarks. The mother of pearl teether has been used, some very small bite marks. There is also a very small and I mean small split in the silver at the bottom of Mr Punch's ruff. Fine some bells and a teething ring and you could sell this for a whole lot more money. The length of the item is 3 1/2" long. I am happy to combine postage for multiple purchases. Up for bid is a vintage Mexican Sterling Silver Ball Baby Rattle. The ball has a lovely. Very soothing chime like ring to it. This is an old family Estate Sale find. The vintage.925 sterling silver baby rattle is marked on the inside ring as follows: 925- T C( I believe the"T" is for Taxco and the"C" is the initial of the maker) 299 Mexico. Beautiful condition. It measures 2.5 inches long. The open ring has a diameter of approximately 1.5 inches. The circumference of the ball is about 3.25 inches around. It was tarnished, so I polished it with a high quality silver polish.

The fine rattle is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1901 and has the maker's initials for Crisford Norris. This rare rattle is a large size measuring approx. 16.5 cms in length and about 5 cms in width across the widest points and has a total weight of 70 grams. It is made of solid silver with fabulous silver embossed decoration also featuring a row of faces with foliate and floral scroll work. Simply exquisite! The rattle is fitted with all it's original silver bells. Four across the top and and eight around the central body making a total of 12 and all ring beautifully. The whistle is also still in good working order and sounds well. It measures 1 1/8" X 1 1/2" Guaranteed authentic. No dinger on the inside and some light teething dings on back. Also has a small split on the lower left back side of bell. Antique Sterling Silver & Mother Of Pearl Victorian baby rattle whistle teether
Offered here is a wonderful(and guaranteed original and authentic) Victorian era baby rattle/teether/whistle. I'd like to know the history of this piece but rest assured. It was originally owned by a well-to-do family. It is made of sterling silver and Mother-Of-Pearl. It features very intricate silver work on one end and a gorgeous piece of Mother-Of-Pearl on the other end. It is in FANTASTIC shape-no damage whatsoever. It measures 4" long. It has two fancy bells attached for the rattle part, a whistle at the end, and the Mother-Of-Pearl for the teether part. The whistle and the bells work good. It has a fancy white tassel that is attached to the loop at the top. It is hallmarked with what looks to me to be a"W" with a lion figure and has"STERLING" underneath the hallmark.
