Victorian Shoe Horn, that dates to circa 1900, the Sterling Silver Handle marked: STERLING on both sides, with the total length being 6 ½” long and the Sterling handle 2 ½” long with no monogram, and only 2 very shallow, small dents. The handle is hollow, not weighted, and has a beautiful repousse or raised design of flowers and crescent shaped scrolls. Only the handle is Sterling the front is silver colored metal that shows some light scratches, and wear consistent with age and use, so I consider this pretty Shoe Horn to be in good to very good condition, and I think it would make a nice display on a bedroom dresser. Glove stretchers and shoe horn that was made in Birmingham. England in 1905 by the illustrious Edwardian silversmiths, W. I. Broadway& Company at their Frederick Street workshops. The shoe horn measures 9" long and is 1 1/2" wide. The large button hook is 8 5/8" long and is 1 1/8" wide. The small button hook is 3 1/4" long and is 1/2" wide. Both in great condition for their age. No dents or bent pieces. The shoe horn has some surface rust, I haven't tried to clean it. Very ornate sterling silve handles, both stamped Webster. The shoe horn has two slight impressions where the Webster insignia is. Shoehorn measures 8 7/8" the hook is 8" long. I try to find any defects but I can't guarentee I'll see them all. The handle has a beautiful beaded design but has some denting as shown in the pictures. The entire piece is about 7 1/4" long. With the handle being 3" long. The handles are fully hallmarked with the Birmingham assay office. Date letter n for 1912 and lion passant for sterling silver, and makers mark HVP& Co for HV Pithey& Co. SIZE The button hook measures 17cm(6¾" long and 2.2cm(¾" wide. CONDITION The button hook and shoe horn are in a very good condition for age. Antique 1902 English Hallmarked Sterling Silver & Steel Shoe Horn
This is an antique English made sterling silver and steel shoe horn. It measures almost 7 3/4" long and is 1 1/2" at its widest. It's fully hallmarked for Birmingham. England in 1902, including makers initials of"S&E" for Swan and Edgar of Regent Street, London. It also has a registration mark and is marked"STEEL" on the blade. It has some not unexpected signs of use and age but is in overall very good condition. Vintage Antique 925 Sterling Silver Handles Shoe Horn & Nail File
This is a really nice set that someone took very good care of. I did an acid test on both handles they tested 925. They are stamped sterling silver. The shoe horn measures about 9" the handle is about 4" and the horn is about 5" The nail file is about 7 3/4" total length, the handle is about 4" and the file is about 3 3/4" I would use these items if I had the occasion. My son wanted me to save them for scrap, but I hate to destroy pieces of history. This would be a great Valentine's gift! I put a buy it now option in the listing so the buyer could get it before Valentine's Day! This item is vintage and show some wear accordingly. The items have very light scratching from normal use. Vintage Or Antique 7 1/2" Sterling Silver Shoe Horn-Raised Daisy Design
Offered is this vintage or antique 7 1/2" shoe horn. The handle is sterling silver and has a raised design on both sides featuring two daisies. The"horn" portion is probably not sterling but does look silver-plated. It has a Victorian look but even though the piece is marked"sterling" there is no manufacturer's name so I don't know who made it or exactly when. It is in very good to excellent condition; there is one very small spot of slight plating wear at the base of the"horn" where it meets the handle. S/H includes insurance.
