Ltd. 4" x 3.7" and it weighs 96.6g. It has been tested and does not leak and so can be used with confidence. There are some dents. The worst being on the back corners. Engraved with the name F.E. The silver lid hinge works well and the bayonet twist lid locks perfectly and securely and it has an excellent interior cork seal. Lovely Antique Solid Hallmarked Sterling Silver Hip Flask C1900 W&G Neal 146g
For sale I have this lovely antique solid hallmarked silver hip flask. The piece comes with a attached cork lined screw top lid. The hallmarks are quite rubbed but the makers mark is clear and is for W&G Neal who produced silver wares between 1887 and 1908 so the piece can be dated in this period. The piece was retailed by Winsor Bishop of Norwich. The piece measures 14cm/5.5" by 8cm/3" by 3cm/1 1/3" and weighs 146 grams approx. The condition is very good with a couple of very miner dinks but nothing that spoils the look or use of the piece. A lovely usable piece of antique silver. This is a wonderful silver lady's flask made in the reign of King George III by the highly sought after silversmith. Hester Bateman. The flask is round in shape with flat sides and rounded edges with a spout and lid to the top. The lid has a slightly domed top and bayonet fitting. The flask is 2-3/4 inches/ 70 mm in diametre. 3-5/8 inches/ 91 mm from the bottom to the top of the lid and it is 7/8 inches/ 22 mm thick. It weighs 100 grams. The flask has clear hallmarks- lion passant. London mark, duty mark, letter k for 1785 and maker's mark HB for Hester Bateman. Solid sterling silver hip flask with a captive cap and a solid sterling silver funnel for filling the flask from Carrs silversmiths in Sheffield. England. Never used and in overall excellent condition but does have some very light surface scratches on the flask’s surface. Comes from original owner’s private collection. Both flask and funnel bear the Carrs hallmark, the British hallmark for the year 2005 and the British hallmarks that evidence solid.925 sterling silver. The flask weighs approximately 174.5 grams and the funnel weighs approximately 8 grams. Will hold 4 fluid ounces. Flask height with cap closed is approximately 5 ½” Body of flask is approximately 4 3/8” in height and approximately 3” wide. Includes original Carrs satin lined packaging box.

Unusual all silver early Victorian hip flask or hunting flask of large rounded proportions. With detachable cup, the body adorned with a large crest of a winged griffon with surrounding Latin motto: PALMAM QUI MERUIT FERAT" Let him who has earned it bear the reward) The cup hallmarked with the anchor for the assay town of Birmingham. The lion passant for the sterling standard guarantee, the letter'x' for the year 1846, and the young head of Queen Victoria as duty mark. Maker's mark N.M for the silversmith Nathaniel Mills. The body with part hallmarks(Maker's mark + lion passant) The screw top unmarked but I suspect a lion passant may be lurking under the inner cork. The flask is in good presentable condition without nasty dents or splits and is water tight. Engraved Silver& Glass Hip Flask. London 1920. Barratts. A stylish and uique hip flask with wonderfully engraved decoration that really catches the eye. It stands 16cm tall and measures 7cm across. The glass is free from any cracks. Chips or breaks. The silver pull off beaker has no damage or dents, there are 2 very small knocks that are noticable on close inspection. The hallmarks are clear and readable. The lid locks securely and it is in a good working order. The bone top? has one split(pictured) The engraving is still very sharp and on the whole the flask is in a very good condition. HALLMARKED STERLING SILVER HIP FLASK, 1905
This auction is for a fine Sterling Silver Hip Flask hallmarked in Birmingham in 1905. It is approximately 3 ¼” or 97mm high. 2 ¼” or 56mm wide and a little under 1” or 22mm front to back so a nice size for pocket or handbag, the capacity is 3 fluid ounces and the weight is 78 grams. It has a hinged top which is a twist lock fitting, the hinge works fine and the top closes neatly it has a new inner cork which gives a good seal making the flask watertight, there is some gilding to the neck piece and under the top. The flask is very well polished and virtually scratch free, there are no splits, there are some minor dents to the corners and a couple of noticeable dings to one side also if you look across the front there are a few slight‘bruises’ really only noticeable because it is so shiny. The hallmarks are clear and read; makers ... moremark M.Bros possibly for Miller Brothers, Anchor for Birmingham Assay Office, Lion Passant for Sterling Silver and the date letter‘f’ for 1905 when the cork was being renewed it was possible to see the inside of the top was stamped with the Lion and the‘f’ these are now covered by the new cork.
