Up for bid is a vintage Mexican Sterling Silver Ball Baby Rattle. The ball has a lovely. Very soothing chime like ring to it. This is an old family Estate Sale find. The vintage.925 sterling silver baby rattle is marked on the inside ring as follows: 925- T C( I believe the"T" is for Taxco and the"C" is the initial of the maker) 299 Mexico. Beautiful condition. It measures 2.5 inches long. The open ring has a diameter of approximately 1.5 inches. The circumference of the ball is about 3.25 inches around. It was tarnished, so I polished it with a high quality silver polish.

Up for auction is this wonderful piece. It features a stork bird and with a clock and says Birth Record and is engraved 1-10-55 for the date. Weight was 8 lb 5 oz and for the name is the initials CDN. The strap is stamped Sterling and is attached to a Lucite I believe maybe mother of pearl ring that is for teething, and the dangly bell shaped piece is a rattle. This is a very pretty piece with no damage that I can see other than the ring that attaches to the Lucite ring has some bends in it. This is in excellent used condition with only very minor usage marks and tiny dings in the silver. It is in such good condition. Vintage sterling silver baby rattle bell mop? teething ring id'd time name 1935
There are a lot of nice details on this vintage sterling baby item. The rattle/bell section measures 1& 1/8" wide at the widest part and is 1" long not counting the suspension hardware at the top. The front has a clock face design and reads 1:00- presumably the time the child was born. Beneath that is a banner that contains the baby's birthweight of 6 lb. 12 oz. The reverse side has the child's name. And"born Nov. 4, 1935. The link that fastens the bell to the teething ring is designed to look like a belt with a nice buckle detail on it, The word STERLING appears in raised letters on this link, and after that a hallmark that looks like a W. The link is slightly bent. The teething ring section looks like it's made from mother of pearl, but I'm not sure if it's mop or another material made to look that ... moreway. The ring diameter measures 1& 3/4" Overall condition is good, but there appears to be some flattening of the bell/rattle and belt-like link, as well as surface scratches on the bell and ring. I have lightly polished the silver parts, but did not attempt to clean the ring with anything other than water since I'm not sure what it's made of and didn't want to damage it. England in 1929 by the illustrious Edwardian silversmiths, Deakin& Francis at their Regent Place workshops. It is in a beautiful ART DECO pattern with a teething ring and functioning rattle. It measures 4" long. It is quite substantial- the ensemble weighs 34.6 grams- well over 1 troy oz. It is in very good condition with a little less than the usual surface scratching and the usual collection of minor dings and dents but NO repairs- SUPER CONDITION. It is hallmarked with D&F. Vintage Sterling Silver Baby Rattle August 28 1955 w Baby Weight DOB & Time Dec.
This is a nice vintage sterling silver baby rattle that is decorated with the date of birth of the child August 28 1955. The baby on a scale with the weight, the time of birth on a clock& is monogrammed on the back. It is marked SB Sterling and the top where it's attached to the round piece I think is supposed to resemble the bracelet/ band that goes on the arm of the baby when it's born. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with some minor wear/ tarnish with a small ding on the side and it comes exactly as shown. It measures 3" tall, 1 5/8" at the widest point and the sterling section is 1 1/8" wide by 1 5/8" at the tallest point. Vintage Lunt Sterling Silver Teddy Bear Baby Rattle Teething Ring
Vintage Lunt sterling baby rattle. With teething ring. Both sides of the rattle have a teddy bear on them, it makes a nice tinkling sound when moved. The rattle is about two inches wide. I believe the teething ring is some kind of hard plastic, but I'm guessing. The clasp attaching the two together is marked Lunt, Sterling on one side, the other side has a flower and leaves engraved on it. The sterling rattle has scratches and a couple of minor dents, it is tarnished, but overall it's in nice condition for its age. It's very hard to get good pictures of shining items with my camera, the pictures look like the whole piece is dented, but it's reflections, I tried to take pics at different angles so the new owner will have a good idea of the items condition.

Up for auction is a signed Webster Co. vintage sterling silver and white Lucite baby rattle. This rattle measures 3 1/8" tall x 1 3/4" wide. The sterling silver bottom is a birth record for a newborn baby. This rattle still"rattles" and has the bottom part of the rattle intact. It has a belt buckle holding the Lucite onto the sterling silver rattle. It is stamped STERLING WEB(Webster Co. on the top of the belt buckle(photo#4) and STERLING WEB on the back. The white lucite is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. This rattle is 56 years old and shows light surface wear. This is a lovely baby rattle that still works.
