Asprey Sterling Silver Spurs
A beautiful unused set of Asprey sterling silver riding spurs in velvet box. Made and sold by Asprey, London. Purchased there in 1990, the year after the hallmark indicates they were made. These were not a stock Asprey item so they are not common at all. They were bought by me as a gift. The spurs are in untouched condition as they've never been used. Beautiful contemporary yet classic design with a wonderful feel in the hand. I hope this comes through in the pictures. Made ny Asprey& Co and fully hallmarked for London 1920. This is a beautiful and very fine quality large novelty desk barometre and thermometre made by Asprey. The piece is round with curved sides and a flat base. The glass is framed within a band of fine reeding. The face of the barometre has black numerals against a silver background. The face has a curved mercury thermometre. What is very unusual is that the underside has a sliding suspension ring/ hanger that pulls out from the top of the back of the case so that the thermometre/barometre can be hung on a wall instead of displayed on a desk.
