This auction is for an antique dresser top mirror or shaving mirror with drawer. It is of a beautiful dark wood- I think possibly mahogany. There is beautiful dark wood grain to this piece. I believe this probably dates to the Civil War era. It is about 21 inches tall. 23 inches across and 9 1/4 inch deep. The mirror is a replacement and there is a lovely piece of matching wood grained wood to the back of the mirror. There is one drawer. This has been in my family for many years. A Victorian era(1880) three drawer chest. We moved it here when we relocated from England a few years ago and now is the time to let it go. We believe it to be oak, but it's clearly the same wood throughout, marked with a capital FP(Frederick Pierce) on the reverse. It has all original handles and a simple carved topstop at the rear. Gorgeous Original Vtg Victorian Renaissance Revival dresser late 1800's w/Crest
This is a beautiful old Dresser I believe from the late 1800's. It is very large. And came out of a mansion in Tampa, on what is referred to as Bayshore Blvd. The measurements are as follows: 8' 3" tall, 20" deep, and 50" long. The mirror by itself measures 18" by 47" It has two smaller drawers, then two large drawers, and then what is called a hidden drawer. when all the drawers are closed you can't even tell the bottom drawer is there. It has a beautiful lady crest at the top. The marble is in great condition. This piece is very heavy. For shipping the mirror will come off. And the marble will also come off. I can't find a name on the piece, but I would think somewhere it would have one. This piece is way too large for our house, which is the only reason for selling it. I have not listed the amount ... morefor shipping. Because whomever buys it needs to make the arrangements to have it moved. I will work with anyone who comes to the house to pick it up, but they'll need to bring the manpower to move it. I'm sure that a couple of guys could move it with it taken apart. Circa 1870 Mahogany Bow front Sturdy See description for full condition report, This stunning handcrafted piece was made in England in 1870. The warm patina of the mahogany has a satin luster that would mesh well with most decorating styles. The outward bow of the facade brings an element of brightening elegance to any setting. The two-on-three style drawers provide a great deal of storage. All of the drawers come equipped with all-brass hardware and lock escutcheons. However there is no key. The edges of the drawers are ... moredecorated with a fine bead molding. Just under the top molding is a handsomely inlaid double end spear design done from satinwood string inlay. The piece sits on a pair of very sturdy shaped bracket feet. The dresser is around 145 years old and in good condition overall. The drawers open easily and shut tight. The brass pulls are fastened securely to the drawers although they are not original to this antique dresser. There is a small chip in one as pictured. The mold around the top has been repaired on all sides. There is also a strong repair on the front right foot. You will find some separation marks in the darker spots on both sides and along the front moulding. There are signs of character building wear on the entire piece and the top has a number of light marks and stains. The pictures are a great representation of the condition. Beautiful Victorian Dresser- all wood. This was purchased at Hawkin's Antiques many years ago while they were still in Fort Lauderdale. Anyone familiar with this man's store is aware he carried very fine quality antiques. He still does- but now he is located in West Palm Beach. Piece must go as we have too many pieces now. Mirror has minor loss to silvering- there is a repair to one of the wood drawers that is not visible from exterior. Has keyholes for skeleton key but we do not have a key to lock it. Nice relief details on the dresser and the mirror. Dresser can be with or without mirror on it as it unscrews. This piece is on wheels and is very light and easy to move when drawers and mirror are removed which is a nice feature. Knobs are replacement and are very nice designer knobs that look like interlacing knot work. over 3 feet ... morewide and 20" from front to back- height is dependent upon use of mirror- dresser is about 3 ft tall mirror adds another 2.5 to 3 feet. Beautiful raised panels of burl walnut and the original beveled edge marble that does show some discoloration as common in old marble. The mirror looks to be original and shows a little age with some flakes and streaks. The mirror has neat candle holders that have seen the test of time once or twice. They are well attached but have had to be re-glued. T he base has four small drawers over two long drawers. Each drawer has raised edge and hand carved handles. This lovely dresser measures a total height to the top of the pediment on the mirror of 76 1/2 inches. The dresser width measures 46 inches, dresser depth measures 18 inches, and the height from the floor to the top of the marble measures 39 inches,height from the floor to the lower base top is 20 inches, and this piece weighs approximately 135 lbs. This wonderful Eastlake piece offers a fantastic beveled cheval mirror that pivots front to back. And is encased in a gorgeous carved maple frame with a lovely incised carved pediment at the top. The mirror rests in ... morebetween two upright carved supports with the original fancy brass inserts that secures the mirror into the supports. The mirror portion and the marble does lift off to allow easier transport and moving. We believe the beveled mirror to be original and it measures 47 inches high by 23 inches wide and only has some very light silver dusting that's age appropriate. The finish appears original and does have some age& wear on the top of the base, there is unusual black marble on the right side above the stack of smaller drawers measures 15 1/4 inches wide by 13 inches deep. The base offers three smaller storage drawers on the right over two larger ones each having period brass Eastlake pulls.
